I'm going to be 100% honest this place is great WHEN the tall rep with the beard is working he has amazing customer service (from him and the clerk while I was there was absolutely incredible) , but the manager (I didn't get his name) was extremely rude I told him I paid $150 for the gloves I had already prepaid for the day before but they needed to be transferred sand was told they'd be there the next morning (which they were). The tall guy with the beard was amazing he did everything he needed to do and had amazing customer service however the manager (which I met the next morning) was extremely rude he attempted to antagonize me as I was explaining this to him and I asked him if he could call the guy with the beard to confirm. The manager proceeds to call him and scream at him and be extremely unprofessional in his mannerisms toward me and towards him. I attempted to resolve the situation by telling the manager that " the guy with the beard that sold em the gloves did not do anything wrong he was amazing, it's you who is screaming at us both when all you need to do is grab the gloves that I prepaid for please" the manager proceeds to tell me he needs to grill him in front of me in order to "show him what's up, and not to talk over him while he's screaming at the guy with the beard that sold me the gloves " I proceed to tell him that's extremely unprofessional the manager responds by screaming at me "do you want a refund!? Do you want a refund!? Take the gloves and get the fuck out of my store!" I tell him to never talk to me like that. The manager screams at me again and gives me the gloves I decide to leave instead of letting the situation escalate further. Manager description: Short (5'0 if even that), black hair, seemingly asian male. Was wearing a hat when I met him. The guy with the beard is great, but his manager ruined the entire experience for me by antagonizing me and his unprofessionalism. Glad I drove out this way to fight shop. I was going to order online, but going in was worth it, I probably would have ordered the wrong size. Dan, helped fit me properly to make sure I'd have coverage for what I needed (Muay Thai/ kickboxing), sparring. Thanks to his expertise I was able to find exactly what I needed, and also gain knowledge on needing knee pads under the shin guards. I liked that I was able to try on, and tangibly go through each product. Dan even suggested that I kick one of the heavy bags for a full trial experience. This really helped me narrow down what I liked. It's very user specific to say the least in my experience here. Shin guards can feel heavy, or light, and it isn't the same across the board for everyone, it's an individual preference for sure. Being a beginner in that sport can be frustrating, but injuries aren't worth the price substituting good quality gear to protect you while practicing, or competing. I also discussed cleaning with him, but they also sell options in house. This place has tons of options, and is going to get more colors of products in, but I'd call before hand, or possibly order through them for the best fair prices around. They usually have promotions on certain lines too which makes it cost effective. I really appreciated the time they took with me to review what I was looking for they certainly helped solve that equation. I was looking to turn part of my garage into a small gym since it's pretty scary right now and working out at home seems easier and lot more safe. I finally got myself a 6 foot, 150lb banana bag that I hooked up to my garage ceiling. No easy task there, but fortunately, we went through a home renovation and I had the foresight to have this set-up during our renovation. Anyway, I went to the Fight Shop in Whittier and they made me a special bag with the colors I wanted. The price was excellent and better than other places that sell heavy bags. Everything is stuffed with I think cloth, which makes the bag comfortable to hit and kick, as well as it's evenly distributed so not all the weight is at the bottom. So far, the bag is solid and it's great to be able to workout in my garage. For your heavy bag or general fitness needs, this is a great shop to buy your equipment. The service was excellent and they even helped me load my bag in my car without any issues. Also, they have a ton of other items, such as gloves, pads, etc., if you're into this sport. read more

Buyers beware, the Winning gear that they sale is authentic, however, it is way over priced. The owner buys his Winning gear from Winning USA in Redondo Beach at retail and turns around and sales it for 2-3 times the price for a profit. !!DO NOT BUY from this store!! I placed an online order from their website on May 27th for a heavy bag stand with 4 unfilled sand bag combo, which was on sale. The item I received did not match the pictures at all. The shaft was supposed to be a multi-piece construction and base was supposed to have full metal supports. However, what I got was a single piece shaft and a base with thin metal supports, and the ends of the pipes were open instead of capped. The shaft rattled around in the base because it fit so loosely even with the bolt tightened down. When I called the Whittier store, the lady who answered told me verbatim "what we did was send you an 'upgraded' version with a single shaft because we found that it is more stable. So WE paid extra freight (even though i paid for shipping) to send it to you instead of the multi piece construction." I'm sorry but I wasn't born yesterday. When I asked her why would they do that without notifying the customer, she started getting raising her voice and began to talk down to me saying "You UNDERSTAND that the one you got is better Right?! If we sent you the multi piece one you'd complain saying how it wobbles." I actually wouldn't have called because I would have received the item I ordered. She then told me that she didn't know what to tell me, and so I told her I'd call her back once I processed the situation. She then hung up on me. After doing a little more digging into their stock photos and Instagram, I called back about an hour later, and the same lady picked up. She immediately took an annoyed tone like I was the one who ruined her day. Even though after waiting three weeks, I was the one who received an incorrect product. She stood by her statement "We sent you the upgraded model and the website hasn't updated the photos." (Which was a complete lie because on their own page the have a YouTube video from 2015 of mike Tyson shooting a promo video hitting their unstable single shaft heavy bag stand.) I pointed out a few of the other discrepancies like the difference in the base and the end caps, which she then put me on hold, without telling me, to go check her other stands she had in the store. When she came back she started yelling at me saying "what is it that you want!? It seems like no matter what I say you won't be happy!" I told her that I wanted the product I ordered. Which she replied "that's not going to happen! With this whole shutdown you're not going to get what you want! YOU ship it back to US and then we'll 'process' a return." Which would involve me paying over $100 for shipping with their 20% "restocking" fee. I knew that at this point this conversation was going no where. So I said "thank you very much," and she then hung up on me. I was utterly disgusted with this interaction. If you value your money and dignity do not deal with Prolast. I'm a 16 year Army veteran, and I've never had a company treat their customer like I was the one who lied to them. See the pictures for yourself.
