This is a cafeteria-style brew pub. The food (tacos, nachos) were good, and we liked their beer options. The restaurant itself is clean and modern. There is no wait staff, so you stand to order, get your drinks, then get your food in line at the kitchen. All utensils are single-use plastic from a dispenser you might see at DQ, and there are napkin dispensers. Water is self serve using styrofoam cups. Food is served in plastic baskets without a tray for carrying. I suggest going only for drinks or at least do not get fooled into tipping for service beyond what you would normally tip at a bar for beer. I would not recommend this location for anyone with ambulatory issues or bringing a large family. read more

Super bummed. We love the pretzels and BEERA CHEESE. But after ordering we realized it's not beer cheese, it's queso. Had we of known we wouldn't of ordered it. Wish they would've changed their menu. Also chicken fingers are basic from Krogers and a little chewy. I understand it's bar food so I guess maybe my standards are too high. Absolutely love fig leaf! It is 45 minutes from us, so we don't go often, but my husband plays live music here from time to time. They have a great beer selection and hard seltzers. The food menu is pretty limited to pizza, but amazing!!! We have tried 4 pizzas and have loved them all. The bartenders are always extremely friendly and attentive. All were very good, but the buffalo chicken pizza was *chef's kiss*. The toppings were so well chopped and spread and the spice level was just right and the whole thing was baked to perfection. 11/10 would eat it again. The cheesy bread and stuffed pretzels were good as well. I especially enjoyed the marina that came with the cheese sticks. It was savory and thick. You order food at the bar and pick up at the kitchen window. The bartender was friendly. The brewery had a super cute outdoor seating area that was too cold to use, but was still lit up pretty. The inside is a typical brewery feel. Great place for a hangout. The back was closed for a private party, so I didn't see the whole space. Everything was very clean. First, we loved the staff. Aaron was our bartender, and when we described the types of beer we liked, he helped narrow it down for us. The also had a Cabernet for my wife, so things were really looking up. Beer was cold and crisp, with about 1/4" head on the pour, so it was truly an awesome beer experience. We ordered pizza and salads and I have to admit, the pepperoni pizza was the highlight of the visit. There is seating available inside, but it was a beautiful day, so we sat outside in a covered area. It's a dog-friendly tavern, so folks had their dogs either under or seated at their tables. Only heard one bark the whole time we were there, so I'd say if you have a "well-behaved" dog, you're welcome to bring them. Overall, Figleaf is definitely on my list of places I'll return to and recommend! read more

On August 8, 2025 we placed our order for chicken wrap sandwich and 4-piece chicken tendies. The asked for our phone number and said we would receive a text message to retrieve our food. We waited an unusually long time for our food - approx. 45 minutes After 50 minutes, we asked the Kitchen Staff how much longer. They informed us that our chicken wrap was picked up mistakenly by another customer. They remade the sandwich and served it with cold wedges. We never received a text message. First visit, had a great time. Service was great, pizza was amazing!! Good variety of beer styles Ann's cocktails, and the tv menus are hung in visible locations. Bar service for food and drink. You can definitely tell this is owned by March First, not only for all the guest taps but has the same sort of vibe inside. Not a ton of seating indoors, but in warm weather it looks like outdoors would be pretty spacious and enjoyable. We had only two comments for improvement: we arrived after dark and it was really hard to see the turn entrance from the road; it looks like you have to pass the brewery to reach the turn entrance to the parking lot. Also it was SO smoky inside from the pizza ovens. There was no ventilation and the air was thick with smoke all night, burning our eyes. But the pizza was delicious so it was almost worth it. Beer was very good and was looking forward to ordering some of their food due to the excellent reviews. However, when I went to order a pizza, pretzels and hummus, I was told it would take two hours to get the food because they were busy. Even if I just wanted pretzels and hummus only it would take that long? This is the reason for the three star rating. I get that this is a brewery but I have been to breweries all across the country and never had an issue ordering food. This place is way understaffed. What an awesome brewery to go to! Had to travel an hour for an important errand and decided to stop here for lunch and some drinks. Could not be more impressed for my first time. The bartenders were incredibly nice and informative about each drink, as well as providing additional tips for how to enjoy them more (hint: get a shot of coconut rum in the porter). And the food was great too. Tried the nachos for an appetizer and pizza for my actual meal. Both were really good. Been looking for something out of the norm to meet up with family members that live over an hour away for football games this fall, and we are definitely going to come to this place for a game. read more

Figleaf is a really cool brewery with indoor and outdoor seating. The drinks are really good, and if you're hungry, they have a light selection of made-to-order noms to eat too. While it definitely gets loud in here, it's neat to be able to watch the brewery work - and they have a wide enough selection of alcohol that most people will be able to find something if they want it. NOTES: -They have 6-packs available to-go and in a cooler. If you want to just get some of their beer and go, that's totally an option. -None of their seating has any arms, and it's very sturdy, metal chairs. The majority of their indoor seating is high-top tables and chairs, but they have low-top tables and chairs as well - as well as bar seating. -Turning into their parking lot is a bit odd if you've never been. You have to turn it a couple buildings down by the BP Cincinnati in order to reach their parking lot. -Figleaf is also part of the Dayton Ale Trail. -They have a fountain-style Coke for DDs - probably what they use for their mixed drinks, but it was nice to see (and drink!) when I was driving. PROS: -There's a kitchen with a limited (but delicious) food selection. Pizza and pretzels, pretty much. You put in an order with the bartender, and the kitchen texts you when it's done so you can pick it up in the kitchen counter area (that's out-of-sight). -Pretzels were delicious. Very different than most beer pretzels, but not in a bad way. Somehow, it's a large, soft pretzel that tastes exactly like the mini, crunchy pretzels you can buy at the grocery store. I don't understand it, but it's delicious. The beer cheese is really good too. Like, really, really good. Nothing has any spice or heat to it (which I prefer). Just some darn good cheesiness. -Pizzas are really good too. If you're really hungry, I could call it a "personal size pizza", but if you and a tablemate split one, you both will likely be satiated at the end. -You can watch the brewers working - and see how much love they put into their products - since the entire brewery is on-display right next to all of the seating. Unlike a lot of breweries who choose this method, Figleaf doesn't have much of a "scent" to it at all. No scent, really. (The hops smell at other places that do this can be overwhelming.) -The Strawberry Bismatti is SO good. We always get some when they're there - and then a six pack to take home. -Ample parking around the brewery in a nicely-organized design that surrounds the building. You'll likely be able to find a spot here, very easily, unless it's a big event. -Taster boards are adorable. I love them. They're giant, wooden slabs in the shape of Ohio. They're a bit unwieldy for just carrying the four mini glasses they they have, but still, they're really cute -ALL of the outdoor seating is shaded from the sun. CONS: -The *vast* majority of the indoor seating for small parties is high-top tables. There are a few 2-person, 3-person mini low-top tables - or a giant low-top table that has to seat over 12. (Didn't count). If you need low-top tables, expect to sit outside (at least the outside is covered). Since the giant wall to the outside is open on nice days, it's not *too* different than sitting inside. -If you're here with just a friend or two, the table options are slightly limited. Most of the tables are 6+. So you either have to take the tiny, two person tables (which couldn't fit our flight board and a pizza at the same time) which seem to be made for just drinking, or you have to take up a six person table. -When we were here, the music near the bar was REALLY cranked up. Add that to the fact that a couple of tables had clearly been here for a bit and were really loudly talking over each other, and it was hard to hear the person I was sitting right next to, thigh-to-thigh, at our mini, two-person table. We moved back to the seating by the kitchen, and it was much quieter and calmer back there. read more

Tried this place for the first time at the advice of a friend. Hubby ordered the 12" Carnivore pizza & we found a seat at a small table. The Bengals playoff game was on so it was packed. Our pizza came out in less than 15 minutes & it was delicious. The price was good too (under $13). We don't drink beer so can't judge the beer selection. We may stop by in the future for a different pizza (the Cuban pizza sounded interesting). I was very disappointed there wasn't a supreme/deluxe pizza on the menu. Wow! What an awesome brewery! My boyfriend and I just finished a tasting at the Dogberry Brewing and since this was close by and read that they had great reviews, we wanted to check it out. The location kind of reminded me of Rivertown and Blank Slate Brewing. They are in industrial area. The inside is open and spacious. I loved the feel of this place! Very laid back and welcoming. We sat at the bar and wanted to do one flight. So we tried: -Saison rouge -Iso-trope IPA -Sous la table Belgian triple -Black solstice Russian imperial stout My favorite was the Black Solstice and Saison. I loved the logo of the growler that I had to get one! Tasting was only $6.00! Very reasonable in pricing! Plus service was great. This place is A-OK. Located in Middletown, it brings some of the brewery fun between Dayton and Cincinnati. There are many beer options and even some non-alcoholic options on tap. They offer flights and full sized pints for you to purchase. They have a few snacks available here but there is a different food truck outside every night which is pretty cool. The beers we tried were good and my favorite was the Pride of Cin Day. It was a nutty malt beer with some toffee flavor. A perfect winter beer. read more

This place has really gone down hill in the last few years. The food and drinks aren't very good. Have been coming here for years and after my experience tonight I will not be returning. My group of friends and I waited for almost an hour to get a table and then an employee yelled at us for "standing in her way". This is not the first time the staff has been rude here.
