Great place to stop for a beverage right off the bike trail. Best ambience with full outdoor, partial and indoor seating options making this a five star place to have a beer on a beautiful summer day. Service was pleasant and attentive. Mainly bar and/or pub food which felt heavy. All the basics as you'd expect on the menu but nothing really stood out. This place has quite a bit of potential so will swing by again. read more

The family went to Waynesville Fall Festival and enjoyed our Sunday. While there I wanted to try a local restaurant. I used Yelp and located this gem. On the Yelp review there was a picture of a pizza that looked AMAZING, had to try it. We headed down the road to the Little River Bar and Grill. Little River Bar and Grill staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I ordered the "All Around Joe Supreme" Pizza. I like to think of myself as a "pizza expert" and let me tell you this was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The crust and mozzarella cheese are top-notch. This pizza is in my Top 3 pizzas EVER. My daughter - who is normally a very picky eater had "MeMaw Chicken and Dumplings", which was the Sunday Special. He ate ALL! Said it was "Amazing". If I lived closer I would have this pizza frequently. "MeMaw" seems to be an excellent cook. Worth a stop! read more

All were good but have to say mushrooms are not usually my first choice but my husband enjoys them so we ordered them on the advice of our waitress Sam. When we go back we will definitely order them they were delicious. Our waitress Sam was polite and very helpful. Good experience here overall. There did seem to be a bees nest being formed above us in the metal hollow beams but hey, that happens, especially when the windows are open. Very nice and relaxing atmosphere when we went. The windows were all open, the weather was perfect, the place seemed busy, people seemed friendly. The staff did seem a bit busy but the wait was not too insane and with the weather being nice we didn't mind. The food was above average for a bar and grill. We started with super sized tatter tots that were loaded with cheese, bacon, and a side of sourcream. Very good and I'd definitely recommend them. I ended up getting the Rex Italian. Bread was nice but overall it wasn't something I'd order again unless I was craving a sub (which I was at the time). I will say the fries were very good! Reminded me almost of Rallys fries but better. My girlfriend ended up getting the burger. She really liked it. Her only minor complaint was it only had one peice of bacon that was basically cut in half, I guess. She also really enjoyed the fries. Cool experience especially on a nice day and you're in the area for a walk or bike on the trail. read more

No COVID precautions here. None of the staff wear masks due to "health conditions" (per posted signage), never saw an employee wash/sanitize hands between tables, and no social distancing. We stayed because the food looked great on their website-- but we were deceived. My salad was wilted and had a brown, slimy stalk at the bottom of the bowl. They were nice enough to comp our meal (hence 2 stars instead of one) given the moldy food but we didn't have much appetite after that anyway. Don't recommend. Wouldn't return. read more

Little River is somewhere between an old school roadhouse and a family restaurant. We went on a Friday night. They had a band playing in the outdoor area behind the restaurant. If you plan to stay and watch the band, bring a fold out chair. They have a few picnic tables, but they were all occupied when we went back. The food was very good. We had wings, a steak sandwich, cheese curds, and stuffed tater tots. The curds tasted like legit cheese curds and not rebranded cheese sticks. The stuffed tots were unique and were not greasy as I thought they might be. Steak sandwich and wings were both very good. Our service was good, not great, but we got our food and drinks in a relatively timely manner and the waitress was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place and would go more often if it was closer to me. One final thing. If mask discipline is a big thing for you, maybe go somewhere else. read more

I had been avoiding the Little River Bar & Grill because we had an absolutely horrible experience there a couple years back. Turns out, they have changed hands, and I am definitely a fan of the new team. There are traces of the "old Bar & Grill," but there were a few notable changes. This time, our server actually served us. She also brought us the correct order in a reasonable amount of time. The food was prepared to their new high standards, and people were enjoying themselves. None of these things happened before - if you're holding out because the last time was terrible, I agreed with you until I tried it again. It's so worth it! We ordered pizza, a standard bacon cheeseburger, a veggie burger, and this thing they call a Donk. Pricing was a tad high, but once the plates arrived, you realize you're certainly not getting ripped off. As you can see below, they have very generous portions - and if you're on the fance about whether to try a grilled cheese or a burger.... That's the Donk (it's both) It uses Grilled Cheese Sandwiches as the bun for a double burger. Definitely made it back to my list of "Places I like to eat" in the area. read more

Hubby & I went here with a group of friends. We were pleased to be able to walk to our table without wearing a face covering. Hubby ordered a supreme pizza & I had the steak quesadilla. Our food arrived within 20 minutes which was acceptable since it seemed to be a busy night. My quesadilla was ok - not a lot of flavor. Hubby's pizza was delicious so we ended up splitting that. I would definitely return here just for the pizza. There was karaoke & it was LOUD. Our group had to yell to communicate with each other. There were propane heaters on the enclosed patio where we sat but it was still a bit cold. Bring a jacket/sweater during the winter months. read more

This place is top notch great fun. We love ending our long rides at the bar. No one looks at us funny in our cycling gear. The service has always been top notch. There have busy days when the kitchen is a bit behind but they always tell you that - I can handle a wait when I understand why. Communication is key! We enjoy the atmosphere and we haven't had anything off the menu we haven't liked. Our normal go to dishes are pizza, buffalo chicken wrap, the big donk, spicy grilled cheese, buckeye bite, we've done the pizza a few times and the wings, sweet chili sauce. What an amazing place I happened to stumble onto! Coolest location ever, great service, and food was amazing. Big menu with lots of variety for all. Neat open/outdoor atmosphere close to the river and little Miami River scenic trail. Music and karaoke plus pool tables and an arm wrestle table to let off some steam. Family friendly and pets allowed in outdoor seating. Pop the top on the convertible or hop on the motorcycle or even your bicycle and make the trip on down. read more

The restaurant has signs out front saying all of their staff have medical conditions that prevent them from wearing masks.*** There were ~15 or so folks there, 6 or so staff all sans masks. The score of this review is only factoring food as covid will eventually not be an issue. I got a sherwood. Pros: Very well seasoned. Sauce was very well done and the bun was perfectly toasted Cons: patty seemed pre-formed and was a bit overdone. I'd consider a thicker patty, seemed wider than the bun. To taste: fries are very crispy shoestring style, almost chips. I like this but it's not for everyone. Overall I would say that it's worth a visit if you are already in the area. If you like medium or well done burgers I could see it being a favorite. I do think that people browsing yelp should have a heads up that covid guidelines are being circumvented. read more

I had heard this was a great place, atmosphere and food. Today my son and I visited for the first time. It was over an hour wait for food and something on my burger tasted funny! it had like a soap taste to it. I did not ask for something else because I didn't want to wait another hour. My sons corn dogs were over cooked and hard. We literally ate the fries and left. With all that said, It is a great atmosphere if your just stopping for a beer but wasn't very good food for the wait. I was with a party it 8, we were sat down and waited 15 minutes before we seen a waitress. After getting our drinks and waiting another 15 minutes before we asked for another waitress as ours took the order from the couple that had just sat down next to us. While asking for a new server the manager here laughed at us and told us to to take our business elsewhere. It was unreal! Lol this place may have good food? The wait to get in was ridiculous on a week night and the tables were fl of dirty dishes pretty gross to sit by. Staff sitting out back smoking as we left by the kitchen and the hostess right at the entrance was sitting and smoking. Pretty sure it violates some safety rules. The service was so so obviously short staffed again. The food was ok but seemed to take way too long for just subs. Clean it up please. read more
