Figleaf is more than a brewery. Yes, you can come here and grab a craft beer. I've had several and most are at least on par with other craft beers around town. Don't know which one you want? That's okay. They do flights and serve at least two sizes. And yes, you can come here and grab some grub. They serve pizza and hot pretzels here. I've been to several breweries that serve pizza. Figleaf beats them all, hands down. The Hawaiian, Bourbon Chicken, and Chicken Bacon Ranch seem to be crowd favorites. And yes, they are dog friendly. They have an area outside that you can sit with your pal and enjoy a few suds. They also have a few board games and other games like Cornhole and Tiki Toss. Although, if there was an area they could improve on, it might be this one. What begins to set Figleaf apart though is they serve wine and mixed drinks. You don't find a brewery very often that does that. All of their wines are made by them. When I was there they had three selections from which to choose. When you go you must get the Blackberry wine. You'll thank me later. They also serve a variety of mules and other spirits. One downside needs to be mentioned here. I've ordered mules that they have on their menu but the bartender seems to be at a loss for how to make them. They were served in glasses or without the proper ingredients. Lastly, the atmosphere is chill. I've been twice and both times the place on the quieter side, even though there were plenty people. I've seen families, people on dates, and some stop in just to buy a few cans before heading home. All in all, Figleaf is the kind of place you can drink a decent craft beer, have a good time, and enjoy your company. read more

I'm sure I will update my review. The first time I was here was during their Sour Fest. A great crowd and they did their best to hold their own. It was packed. Good to see and I stopped by without knowing. Tonight I stopped in for a casual Friday night beer. There was one bartender. On a Friday night? She was going crazy and doing a great job. I wanted to order a pizza but she patiently told me honestly it would be at least 45 minutes. I can't believe that management schedules one person on a Friday night to serve the crowd, wash dishes and oh yeah make the pizzas and pretzels. Really disappointed so after my one beer I decided to meander our to another establishment. I will give them another try and hope to update my review then. We arrived on Sunday evening around 6:30 after a disappointing venture out to another near by brewery, Moeller Brew Barn. This brewery turned out to be equally disappointing. The bartender did not act like he wanted to help us and when he did he called my husband "sport." (Didn't sit well w/ my husband). The 2 beers we got were not good - they had a "skunky taste." Good find! We just moved to Monroe and already love this place. The drinks are good, atmosphere is great, and pizza is delicious. There is something magical about the chicken bacon ranch pizza and pretzels with beer cheese. My favorite drinks are the Figleaf Raspberry Rosé and Astra Bomb Pop. I'm not a big beer fan, so my review really just focused on the atmosphere and staff. Both were very nice, and my entire group (7 of us) were treated well. We all tried their entire menu of beers. I didn't care for them, but I've yet to find a beer I care for so that doesn't mean much. I did drink all of them though, and even ordered a second glass of their cream ale. We tried all 4 current beers and their coffee. All 4 beers were very good and the coffee wasn't bad either. We're excited to see places like this opening up around Middletown. Had to buy a couple shirts so we could sport our local Middletown pride. The environment was very clean, professional, and family friendly. In fact, a little too clean and professional for my preference. If you're looking for a trendy brewery place like Rhinegeist or Warped Wing, this isn't it. The environment caters more to the West Chester middle aged profesional white collar types. The location is just too bright, clean, white walled, and polished in my opinion. read more

Stopped in for a few samples. They have a nice bar area, had great service. A couple of large TVs that had football on (proper football, not American). They have a nice patio area for sitting outside. Beers were all pretty good. The barrel aged porter was probably my favorite. read more

I went here for a fundraiser to raise money for graves disease. Otherwise, I would've never heard of this brewery. The night I went they had two food trucks parked out front; however, one left pretty early into the night, which left food options a little scarce. I ordered the "lite" beer sampler. I liked the "ISO-hazy", but some of the others just tasted awful to me. The inside of the place looks pretty cool (photos below taken on my Canon). Nice and open, plus you can see where the beer is made when you're sitting and drinking it which is interesting. It was a nice little unique spot to visit. They had live music the whole night I was there, but i'm not sure how often they do that otherwise. Three stars, because I personally only cared for one of their brews and the patio was pretty cold to sit out on and try to "enjoy" yourself. They had a generator/heater thing going, but it was loud and didn't seem to be doing the best job. My favorite brewery in the Cin-Day corridor! The staff are absolutely stellar. The bartenders are friendly and genuinely fun to chat with. The building is always clean and well kept, and there are always some good tunes to listen to on the bartenders playlists. Sometimes the music is cranked up a bit, but it works with the atmosphere of the place. The patio is nice, covered, and pup friendly. There is an open outdoor area in the front if you prefer some sunshine as well. On to the important part: the BEER. I don't think there is a beer on the menu I haven't liked, or at the very least appreciated. Even offerings that aren't a particular style that is my preference have been of obvious quality, and I've tried a few that I didn't think I'd care for and actually very much enjoyed (I'm looking at you Coffee Blonde). I am not a seltzer drinker, but I can say of any that I've tried, theirs are head and shoulders above the rest. The red cream soda seltzer is the first seltzer I tried where I ordered a second. The Blackberry Breeze is pretty good too. STARCRUSHER is one of my favorite beers of any local brewery. (You guys need to get it back on tap soon!! hint, hint). The beer selection fluctuates, but always has a nice variety to fit many tastes. The food menu is limited, mostly pizza. With that said, it is very, very good pizza. I've tried them all and they've all be excellent. Even a boring old cheese pizza has a really nice spin on it that makes it really stand out. TL:DR - If you like pizza, beer, and/or seltzers, do yourself a favor and check out Figleaf. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. read more

Have tried basmati cream ale, F2 hoppy amber, iso trope ipa, inculpatory hazy 2x ipa, anniversary one Belgian quad, lil am Belgian blonde, iso hazy ne ipa and pride of cin day English pale. All are very different and tasty in their own ways. Staff is knowledgeable. Have board and card games available to play, a couple TVs, local snacks and indoor/outdoor seating. I have to admit- when I first went to FigLeaf about a year ago, soon after its opening, I was NOT impressed. The beer selection was sparse and the beers were weak and unimpressive. In the Cincinnati area, you need at least one kickass beer in order to keep me coming- and I was worried FigLeaf wouldn't make it as a business. However, I recently returned, and was blown away by their progression. They had a huge variety of unique beers, and the two I had (Belgian Trippel and Tropical IIPA) were delicious enough that I'll make the 35 minute drive from Cincinnati again just to have them. Plus, they have a great environment. There is plenty of inside seating with a variety of table sizes, plus a large covered patio with heaters. The seating area is open to the beer production area, which makes for a cool vibe. After seeing FigLeaf's significant improvement in just one year, I'm confident they'll only continue to get better. I'd encourage everyone, including those who have written them off due to mediocre beer in the past, to pay them a visit. read more

The one and only time i have been here, so far, i didn't find many beers to my liking. I got a kolsch or hefeweizen, which i like, but i was hoping for their oktoberfest, which i REALLY like. They were out of the oktoberfest, which was a disappointment. This brewery isn't close to me, so it was a special trip. I liked the layout and spaciousness of the taproom. I will come here again, but I hope that I can find more than 1 beer I like. read more

We just had the rudest experience at this micro brewery. Three of us were excited to try some new local beers and heard they had great pizza. We arrived to a very cool place and proceeded to sit down. No one came to our table so we went up to the bar. Eventually the tender came up to us and stated "sit where ever you like but order at the bar." So we decided to review the large list of beers on the wall. Another patron recommended that we could order a flight so we could try multiple beers. Eventually the bar tender came up and my buddy jokingly stated "we would like to taste all of them." Apparently we offended the bar tender with our innocent joke ?!?!?! He left. Then he came back as the other patron waved him down. The other patron said "these guys would like to try a flight." And the bar tender responded "these guys wanted to taste every beer so I will get to them when I get to them." Our jaws were on the floor. Apparently he was having a bad day. So we left. Wr weren't drunk. We just arrived. We were very friendly. Apparently he was having a bad day. I had the Buffalo Chicken Pizza & the Carnivore Pizza...both were delicious but I think the Carnivore Pizza was better. I had a couple hazy IPAs and a juicy IPA. FigLeaf is a very family friendly place, I stopped by with my own family for "Last Call" trivia night. The food and drinks were great. Not only was the food good but the trivia was also super fun!
