A sweet coffeehouse with a strong base of devoted locals; less touristy than other spots. Beautiful atmosphere with loads of indoor plants, natural light, and pleasant views. Most staff are friendly--good, picky baristas who know how to make a good latte. Higher quality wifi here, as they have a small workspace upstairs, called Jobb (members only). One patron I was interviewing for a newspaper article said Fika is the "second City Hall," referring to the many community and business meetings that take place here casually. The menu has expanded somewhat, which is nice. Scandinavian pastries now have company: quiches and other savories. Prices tend to be a bit high, but I suppose that's normal everywhere these days. Fika is a Scandinavian word that refers to deliberately taking a break to reconnect with friends/family over coffee and pastries/snacks, and this is the perfect place for that. The food is great (try the quiche, salads, or pastries), and coffee is well-made. The mint-citrus iced tea is delicious if you want something non-coffee. Staff are friendly, and recognize repeat customers. Renee, the owner, is a lovely, warm person who's invested in her community. If you happen to see her walking Mr. Darcy, he's a pretty wonderful ball of furry happiness too (have never seen him in the coffeehouse--don't worry about that). I was with my friend who is Dutch and she was pleasantly surprised at the Swedish treats that were offered. I had the "Golden Milk" with dairy substitution and that came out really nice and creamy. This is by FAR the best coffee shop in town. I have been going since Renee opened the shop and it's always my #1 choice. The employees are all so incredibly kind and you will never have a bad coffee there. Plus she's got the best pastries! Chocolate chip cookies are only 2 for $1, her scones are probably the best I've ever had, and the chicken sandwich is something I can never pass up when I'm hungry. I love the espresso blend they use, Renee and her staff are so sweet and efficient, and all the treats and goodies are divine! 10/10 recommends showing Fika some love when you're in Sisters! The coffee here is quite good. The reason I did not give them 5 stars is that they are terribly slow. We walked in with no one in front of us. After a few minutes a nice gal took our order for 4 lattes. About 20 minutes later they were ready. Wow. Almost 25 minutes to get a latte. If you aren't in a hurry, definitely go here for coffee. If time is critical you should go elsewhere. read more
