I've been through sisters a bunch of times and have always wanted to stop here. They have had very solid reviews on Yelp. It finally worked out with timing to make the stop. For sure I'll be making sure I make it here again. I ordered the beef and cheddar sandwich which also comes with a cookie. The sandwich was huge and tasty. If you want a soda it comes in a can. They also have lemon water in containers both inside and outside. In addition to sandwiches, they have a great meat case, cheese case, freezer goods, and spices. This is Sisters and I believe there is some money in town, or they are just pushing pricing on tourists. While the sandwiches are excellent, they are very spendy. One start off for that. read more

Saw the great reviews and decided to check it out. We ended up deciding to have lunch here, getting a bunch of sandwiches. I got the reuben, which was excellent. Others enjoyed the turkey sandwich, french dip (really good), tri-tip (ok), and beef & cheddar (good). Interior was fine and we snagged a table outside in the shade. Staff weren't the friendliest and didn't seem like they wanted to be there. But I'd come back again for a reuben. read more

It is very easy to understand why the Sisters Meat and Smokehouse has garnered a 5-star rating. It is that good. It was the first time we have tried it and the Reubens were incredible. The pastrami was house-smoked, and it was so tender. For $15, we received your choice of chips and a cookie as well. Very good deal. Susan, who took our order, was very patient with us and explained the menu and seating next door in the mercantile that was purchased in July of 2025. As far as selection of meats, sauces, and a whole bunch of other goodies goes, this place would get an easy five out of five stars. The sandwiches left something to be desired. Nine dollars for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that I have to make myself is a bit offputting. That's right. They give you the bread and some small packages of Jif peanut butter and grape jelly. The Reuben was all right, but they put the sauerkraut in between the pastrami to make it look like there's an inch thickness of meat. Not worth $18. The kids' grilled cheese was burnt on the outside, but the cheese was not melted. Overall, I'd have spent $72 elsewhere. read more

We returned with anticipation for another great sandwich. Something changed, or maybe it was an off day. There was less meat on the sandwich, although the price was higher (which is understandable, given the times). The Reuben went from incredible to just above average. What a disappointment. Say it with me HOUSE-MADE SMOKED PASTRAMI. Yowzers! The sandwich I had was in the top three of the BEST EVER. It's a steep $18 but worth every penny (oh, sorry, they don't make those any more). The REUBEN SANDWICH on toasted marble rye had Swiss cheese, the perfect mound of sauerkraut and thousand island dressing (ask them to go light on the slather) along with a bag of chips and a cookie. Top it off with the beverage of your choice -beer, wine, canned soda, etc.- and you have the perfect lunch or afternoon snack. On our way out we bought a couple pounds of the Smokehouse Jerky (Original, Pepper, & Teriyaki) and two pounds of the Smokehouse bacon. Made the car on our trip home smell great!!!! Seating inside is nice and you can people watch. I like to eavesdrop on the questions they ask the people behind the counter. You learn something new every time - LOL. Tables outside too but it was a tad too hot the day we visited to sit outside, even in the shade. Small, family-run establishment owned by Oregon natives. The artisan meat cutter and smokehouse expert are both third generation in the industry. Such a cute little town too, all cowboy-like and worth an afternoon of moseying the main street to see the shops. My husband wanted a quick lunch and walked from our airbnb two blocks to Sisters's Meat and Smokehouse. It was a busy Saturday afternoon in August and he was able to place his order right away for a Reuben sandwich to go. He only waited for about 10-15 minutes and it was ready! He said it was amazing! We also found a cookie wrapped in an individual bag in the bottom of his to go bag which was a nice suprise. We were going to go back for dinner because after hearing his rave review I also wanted to give this place a try but unfortunately they closed at 6pm and were didn't get back into town from our kayaking adventure to Suttle Lake until 5:45pm. We traveled over the mountain to spend the day in Central Oregon, Smith Rock, the Badlands, and beyond. Headed home we wanted a steak. Stopped in Sisters for some cuts. Hopping place here! We were nearly immediately treated like royalty. Genuinely surprised by the kindness here. I walked out with seasonings, bone in Kansas City cuts, and house smoked peppercorn havarti. Dear Wade, A friend of mine came to Sisters to have lunch with me at the Smoke House today. We arrived at 10 am for a very early lunch. We were the only customers. Unfortunately, it was not as anticipated. My turkey sandwich was excellent not very large and at $18.00 not worth it. My friends try-tip was an embarrassment. So very small. So expensive at $19. Great lil shop with plenty of meats to choose from. There is a butcher section, a fridge with seasoned meats, cold cuts and cheese's olives. There is also a freezer with frozen meats. Small menu with sandwiches, a few beers on tap. They do growlers fills (as long as you bring in your own growler) plenty of wines , sauces, spices, mustards & marinades. I had to hold myself back from buying all the things because our car was already packed to the brim. Turkey sandwich was top tier. Definitely worth a stop when in town. Ever since I saw a picture of their bologna sandwich, I wanted to try it. Today was the day I ordered it and devoured it and give it a 10 out of 10 highly recommend. Theres places to eat outside and then like a little area inside, but not much we brought it back to five Pines Lodge and ate it in our room. My daughter had a make your own peanut butter sandwich. They gave her the bread and two packets of peanut butter and two packets of jelly and a plastic knife to spread as mush as she wants on it. At 13 she thought they were being lazy, but if my 9 year old got it she would have loved to make it herself like she does at home. Part meat market, part jellies, spices and souvenirs part sandwich shop. Not a ton of seating inside but we also didn't have trouble finding a place to sit.. there is also some seating outside, weather cooperating. I had the turkey sandwich sans tomatoes (maybe when they are in season) and the lady had a Reuben. Both sandwiches were great portions and fabulous flavors. The sandwiches both included chips and a cookie. The cookie was notably good. Chips are chips. Beers, wines, sodas all available to have with lunch. The service was friendly, quick and efficient. Overall the food was good but not spectacular. I liked the menu options as there was definitely variety in it. The star of the mixed platter was tenderloin but it felt like something was missing to make it a great dish to order.
