First off, Burger Revolution is located in the Castleton Food Court. The emphasis is obviously on burgers with a handful of specialty burgers noted. I did not see a "build your own" option and I opted to not ask about deviations from the posted menu. They also offer a couple chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders. As one other reviewer noted, you do want to read the menu carefully as there are definitely some add-on prices. The burgers are of the "smash burger" variety. You can also double up your burgers, though there's an upcharge. Truthfully, I wasn't quite sure how the pricing worked. I think the fries were extra, though maybe the drink was included. Regardless, I paid about $14 for a burger (with cheese), fries, and a 24-ounce drink (my usual unsweetened iced tea). The good? First off, the employee working the front was super friendly and helpful. Secondly, the burger was quite good (better than expected and certainly better than the usual mall burger). The fries were also quite tasty. Overall, I was pleased here. I'd prefer a bit more transparency with pricing and clarity on burger options (Is it possible to build your own?). I expect to pay a bit more at a mall - so that didn't much bother me. The service was friendly, the food was tasty and fresh, and I would absolutely order this again in the future. While I'm not willing to call this a 5-star experience, it was a solid 4-star for me.

To my surprise, I found a spot called Mad Dog's Gourmet Burgers right off 96th Street, looking like it was tucked right next to one of my favorite gyro spots, Ream Grill. I pulled into the parking lot looking for a big sign, a marquee, a burger bat-signal...nothing. So I figured, "You know what? I haven't had a gyro in a minute. Let me just go to Ream." Then, as I'm walking up, I see a Mad Dog's sign on the window. Now I'm intrigued. I walk in looking for a menu, looking for some sign of this burger spot, and finally ask the guy working, "Where's Mad Dog?" He tells me, "It's a ghost kitchen." Excuse me, Casper? Turns out Mad Dog's Gourmet Burgers is a burger concept running out of Ream Grill, available on DoorDash, and they're testing it out. So of course, at that point, I had to try it. I ordered the Dragon Breath Burger, and I'm glad I did. It was fantastic. And because it's coming out of Ream, it came with those perfectly crispy seasoned fries and Ream sauce, so the floor was already high. But the burger held its own. The Dragon Breath had enough heat to make spicy food lovers happy, but not so much that it bullied the flavor out of the burger. You still got the beef, the toppings, the sauce, the whole situation. Overall, I'm glad I stumbled into this little burger mystery.
