If you are looking for a great smash burger, look no further. Box Burger has some great ones. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries. The staff working the food truck were very friendly and helpful. I asked for no bun and the staff jumped in suggesting extra toppings for the burger. Their recommendations were excellent!! The French fries were seasonally coated in a batter and were hot and fresh!! The meal was excellent! If the Box Burger Food Truck is ever in you neighborhood, I recommend you grab yourself a burger and fries!

One of the best burgers you'll ever eat! Service is always great. Usually the same three people working the truck and they're all amazing. Very accommodating to all my special requests and requests for side sauces. Check their website and/or Facebook for locations!!

I guess I can start off with I liked the fries. They had some sort of salt pepper sugar sprinkles on them. They tasted pretty good dipped in ketchup. But I was less than impressed with the hamburger and to be honest, I just couldn't get past the bun. It was like generic white Kroger brand, on clearance. The hamburger itself was pretty thin, which wouldn't be that big of a deal except for just a cheeseburger and fries with nothing else, was $12.50. The quality didn't match the price. I didn't personally try the potato salad, but several other people commented that it tasted great. The people working were super friendly :)

Food truck Fri-YAY! I ordered the Jr. Cheeseburger and fries. The Good: Incredibly friendly staff, quick service, made to order with every topping you could ever want/dream of. Everything came out hot and I even got a cookie on the side! That's a nice surprise for a Friday lunch. The Okay: Fries are sold separately and cost almost as much as a burger. They're well seasoned with salt and pepper, but there's some other ingredient on them that I can't pinpoint? Maybe sugar? They're kind of sweet which threw me off a bit and to me seems unusual when they're not sweet potato fries. I love that the burger is made fresh, from real 100% angus beef, but it definitely needed some more flavor/seasoning. It was good, but not as good as I was expecting it to be. The Bad: The bun!!! Oh my goodness. I couldn't even finish the entire burger (very unusual for me) because of the bun. It fell apart with the first bite and every bite after until I just gave up. It was crumbly. It's almost like it was a generic, store brand bun. So strange and I wish this wasn't the case - I so badly wanted to enjoy it! Overall Verdict: decent food, okay price, but probably won't rush to go back.

They came to my apartment complex. I figured I'd give them a try since Indiana lacks great restaurants. Everything was delicious and fresh. I loved the versatile of being able to add pineapple on my 1/3 lb hamburger. The fries were fresh and well seasoned. They tasted semi sweet. The negative was that they informed me they were out of ketchup because their supplier was out. As a business owner, when you're out of a main staple that goes with a main side, go get some ketchup! Don't cut corners or redirect blame. Otherwise, I would've given a five star review.

I heard this food truck was good so I tried it and man it was amazing! The value for the price is what did it for me. It's definitely affordable I only paid 14$ for my combo meal & it was so worth it. The fries was delicious & crispy & my burger was great. You have so many options for toppings and they're free! So you should definitely experiment and get something interesting. Service & ambiance was great everyone was friendly and professional. 10/10

It's food truck Monday at the office again! Always a good day! Since it allows me to try different trucks that I usually don't come across. Today's truck was box-burger, and I was impressed! They have a good size trailer that they pull and it looks very clean and well maintained. Staff was really friendly! And even cracked some jokes! I love that. The menu has all the classic choices. Burgers, chix sandwich, tenderloin and an egg sandwich. Something cool I noticed is that the burgers are made according to size, so you can get a big one! Or the junior size which is more my speed. All your toppings are free which is awesome, can the list is huge to pick from. Thought my burger was cooked to perfection and not too greasy! Sides are extra. You can pick from fries, sweet potato fries, chips, slaw or potato salad. I would definitely get another burger from this truck! Half tempted to go out and get another before they leave.

    Underwhelming (overly fried) veggie burger

This truck was set up outside of an event in Military Park for Indy Pride week. I had never heard of them and they were the only one with a vegetarian option, so I decided to give it a shot. For the amount you pay, you really don't get your money's worth, in my opinion. The veggie burger was a normal veggie burger. It was cooked okay, but the toppings were something you'd get from a roadside stand (i.e. cheap shredded lettuce, discolored tomatoes, no cheese). It was very underwhelming to say the least. I wanted to try some of the fries, but they were so expensive! A friend ordered the sweet potato fries for $5 (what!) and what came out was nothing more than the size of a small fries from McDonald's. Again, way too expensive. The fries were good, but nothing that I'm drooling about now. The part that really rubbed me the wrong way was when I was getting my food handed to me, the guy/employer/chef said that he's never tried it before so he has no idea what it tastes like and hopefully it tastes good. A friend asked why he's never tried it and he said that he doesn't like beans. Fair, but never admit to someone that just purchased your food that you've never tried it and "hope that it's good." Such poor customer service in my opinion. Overall, a food truck that needs to readjust its prices and learn from some other competitors that are doing burgers and fries much better (for cheaper or if the same price, better quality products). Hopefully they make some necessary food, pricing, and customer services changes to stand out from the ever-so-popular food truck industry!

It's a hybrid between a breakfast spot and a cigar lounge vibe. We digged it! After sitting down our very friendly waitress came over and took our order. We ordered the orange sunrise mocktail, a quinoa bowl, gluten free pancakes and the California club omelette. Everything was AMAZING. Not one thing was bad. The omelette was one of the best if not the best I've ever had. Stuffed FULL of all the mix ins and cheese with yummy breakfast potatoes. The star of the show was the gluten free pancakes. They were stellar!! Would highly recommend. This place is one of the easiest 5/5 I've ever given. 100% would recommend!!

The cocktail actually had some heat, and the glass was rimmed with Everything Bagel Seasoning. I'd never had that before. It was a tasty touch. The candied bacon garnish was divine. We ended up ordering a second round. The Jalapeño Deviled Eggs are outstanding. Smooth and creamy, topped with jalapeño and candied bacon. Every bite was a pleasure. For entrees, I got the Bourbon Jalapeño Shrimp. It had a light kick and tasted incredible. My husband ordered the Rise & Shine Chicken Biscuit. It was all tasty, but that biscuit was fluffy and salty, exactly how a good biscuit should be. Our server made the whole meal. She was friendly and patient with me even though I was having more trouble than usual deciding what to order. She also mixed our Bloody Marys, so she was working double duty and doing it well. The space strikes a balance between sophisticated and casual, so you can dress up or keep it relaxed and feel comfortable either way. We'll definitely be back!

A lot has changed since the first review. Now, the restaurant is only open on Fridays for lunch during the school semesters (no summer dates, time off for winter break, etc.) The lunch service is from noon to 1:45 (Yelp's software won't let 15 minute intervals be indicated.) On every other Friday, the restaurant is set up as a buffet and is quite popular (so I'm told). Apparently lines form on those days. On the alternate Fridays, the restaurant is a cafe where you get table service and can select from a limited menu that also has daily specials selected by the chefs. You can refer to their website for schedule dates to help you decide between cafe or buffet. Their Facebook page also lets you know what the daily specials are on the cafe days. Once you pull onto the campus, there are plenty of signs directing you to a private parking lot reserved for dining guests. It's just a short stroll into the restaurant. There is one large room with black linen table cloths. Most tables are large enough for 4-6 diners, but a number of 2-top tables are placed along the windows and far wall. I was greeted and seated by one of the chefs and given a brief overview about how the students did 95% of the work in the kitchen and would also be waiting on me (I chose a cafe day.) I won't say that the service or meal are the best, because frankly, they are still learning and some skills in service come with experience. If you are going to be impatient or picky, then maybe this isn't the place for you. I ordered a cup of French Onion Soup, an Andouille Po'boy (topped with coleslaw) and a side of broccoli salad. Generally, all tasted very good. There were small misses though. The waitress didn't know that the broccoli salad was the kind that is pre-mixed with dressing so I was surprised when she asked what kind of dressing I wanted on it. To her credit, when I though it odd, she excused herself to go ask the chef. (Yea!) I also asked if the French Onion Soup could be brought out first and then have the sandwich and salad brought together. Either she forgot or maybe they don't allow it, but the soup arrived at the same time as everything else. It would have been nice to have it early to help pass the wait time. I also had to ask for a soup spoon. Little things really, but I hope they read this and can help add to the learning process. The waitress also disappeared behind the black curtain for long periods of time which left it to the chef/front end manager to have to check on me/refill my water glass; things that an experienced waitress would know to do. Overall, the food was good, reasonably priced, and if you have a little patience, the service is fine when taken on the whole. I applaud that there is a place where people who want to enter the food industry can get live training from experienced chefs/managers who generally care about developing the student skills.
