You ever watch documentaries or highlights of athletes and you think, wow they made them look iconic, how did they do that? Well after watching our wedding video that this amazing team has done for us, I cannot believe how great they made us look! Let's start from the very beginning ... As our wedding date was set, my girl and I were looking for a great videography team that had style, had passion and also had experience with the venue we were having our wedding at. After looking through our venue's IG page, a specific video caught my eye and it happened to be done by the wonderful FilmLife team. I had already reached out to 2 other videography teams and as we spoke with each of these videography teams, it was easy to choose FilmLife. First off, the first interaction with FilmLife was genuine; upon meeting a very friendly Trenton, he asked very specific questions that were outside of the wedding plans as well as related to the wedding plans to gauge what kind of couple we are. As soon as both Trenton and us realized we had good chemistry and that this would be a fun day to be around each other, it was an easy decision. I really appreciated this vetting process because you want to be comfortable from both behind and in front of the camera. The other videography teams were very "cookie-cutter", they didn't ask much about us other than our dates and we never got to speak with the videographer who'd work with us, it was just yes we'll take you and here's what it'll cost. Trenton sat down and took time out of his day to also see if we'd be a couple he'd shoot with and after an hour call that felt like 10 minutes, it was an easy decision. We went through the packages that FilmLife had and FilmLife was very flexible and understanding of what we were looking for. As weeks went by and the wedding date approaching, Trenton sat down with us through zooms and was able to help craft our story, customized to us with questions about us as a couple, our history, what our future looks like and what we are excited for at the wedding. These types of questions help with your own vows and we appreciated having these sessions to help truly understand why we were getting married. May I also say that Trenton always had enthusiasm with these sessions; we understand that Trenton and his wife and team were very busy because of their schedule but our sessions always felt as if the wedding was tomorrow and FilmLife was eager to shoot. The wedding day comes in and Trenton arrives with another videographer, the man Jacob. These two provide the game plan that had been reviewed multiple times before the day but it felt like everything flowed smoothly. Trenton would be with us for one part and then Jacob as well and the duo just had great chemistry working with each other as well as our wedding party. It was just fun all around. Never did we felt like we were in front of a camera, but also when Trenton and Jacob were able to chat, they felt like just one of our friends hanging out. When it's your wedding day, you're bound to feel the jitters of the day but with the all stars of Trenton and Jacob, you felt calm and loose and just overall excited. Plus both these guys hit all the highlights we wanted them to record and after a long and fun and momentous day, both Trenton and Jacob showed enthusiasm, a sense of style and eye for the moment and were extremely professional. Finally wrapping up, we received our sneak peeks sooner than we thought and we were astonished as to how amazing FilmLife made our day look. Trenton found the perfect music for our trailer and we shared with all our friends and they all were equally impressed. The hard work and long hours FilmLife put into our day showed immediately and we are just so grateful that Trenton and Jacob were able to spend the day with us to capture our memories. He had great ideas and did an amazing job capturing our special day. He is very professional and fun with lots of creativity. Trenton and Bethany did an amazing job with our video and they are super easy to get along with! We met Trenton over emails and hired them to do our video before ever meeting them in person. We met Trenton the day before our wedding. He came for a walk through the day after his vacation and was super easy to explain what we wanted and how the day was planned out. We had them at our wedding from 2pm-ish to 11pm-ish. We got our first preview of our video about a month-ish after our wedding, but before that, they posted on their social media little snippets of the day and they got some super adorable stills of me with my dog (who is basically the center of my world) and it was unexpected and really sweet! So make sure to follow them on Insta. They did a 15 second, instagram video, which I also shared on my socials and then we got our 5 minute short to share with family on FB, again LOVED IT! The day we actually got our entire video, was about 3-ish months after the wedding. They are super quick! Cute and funny thing about our video is our first dance. We did not practice our dance all the way through and we basically winged it the day of. Well, it was a bit of an uncoordinated disaster and me and my husband had our first "fight" trying to direct one another, all the while he still had the mic on (LOL). They did a fantastic job editing that part and making it seem like to was a very romantic moment, when in fact, it was the most stressful 3.5 minutes of our entire day! I didn't really notice them there during the ceremony, but again, you don't really notice anyone when you are walking down the isle or saying your I do's. They were with me and my inappropriate sense of humor for the entire time I was getting dressed and they captured some really sweet getting ready moments. They also take direction very well! I have a weird facial paralysis thing and I told them to keep focus on my left side of the face as much as possible and that is exactly what they did. I didn't cringe as much as I usual do when I see my face on camera, define plus! They are super affordable and super easy to work with! If you are thinking of getting a professional video made of your day, definitely do! Don't skip out on it, the day and night fly by so fast, you will want something to remind you of your wedding and see some of the things you might have missed. read more

My husband and I just recieved our teaser video from Trenton and I just immediately started tearing from the joy it brought me. We were married not 3 days and Trenton surprised us with the most beautifully edited teaser. Let me go back to before we met Trenton. Planning a wedding is a lot more overwhelming than you think it will be when your in the middle of it. It wasnt until late in the planning process that i realized having a videographer document the evening isnt something i wanted to go without. Just like all wedding services, it can be overwhelming trying to find the right one. We just happened to get lucky that we crossed paths with Trenton. When we finally were able to meet him, he took the time to meet with us in person. He sat with us for over an hour going over our schedule and giving us advice and tips on how to insure things go smoothly and make the most of the time we had with him. He made sure we felt comfortable with him, asked about our story and told us a little bit about his. I walked away that day with piece of mind. I highly recommend meeting any potential videographer/ photographer before the day. On the day of, Trenton arrived ready to work with the photographer i already hired who is also amazing (aurelia d'amore). Together they just were out of this world amazing to us. Of course the schedule kept getting pushed and squeezed the day of, neither broke a sweat and worked with what they had the whole night without a hitch. Trenton is fun loving and you can tell he gets a kick out of making sure YOUR having a good time. Tip: if you get a chance ask him to show you other weddings he's worked on. I didn't plan on getting a videographer, and actually booked one at the last minute a few months before. I am SO grateful I made the decision to have a videographer. Would I hire Trenton & Bethany again if given the chance? No. Would I recommend them? No. Obviously statements like this require explanation, so please read on if you're considering hiring Trenton and Bethany for your special day. First and foremost, we did not receive our 5 minute highlight video until 9.5 months after our wedding. In that amount of time I literally could have had a baby. When we initially signed a contract with them, unfortunately there was no timeframe listed as a guarantee. This should have been a red flag, but as first time wedding planners we clearly did not know better! In conversation, they stated 4-6 months was their typical turnaround time, which already felt long, but it actually ended up taking MUCH longer for us to receive our final product! All the while, by the way, they showed off on their social media several 2019 same day wedding videos! That was honestly a slap in the face to see that they were already working on weddings from 2019 when they still had not even started our 2018 wedding film. It's horrible customer service and quite frankly a terrible business model. When we finally saw our wedding video, did we like it? Yes. Were we absolutely blown away by it? No. Honestly, it's nice. I will give credit where credit is due. But after 9.5 months it should have been an absolute cinematic masterpiece. Friends and family liked it but commented "that's it?" and "why'd that take 9.5 months to finish?" when we showed it to them. It completely took away from any potential wow factor. There are also several other things we experienced while working with Trenton & Bethany that you should take into consideration before hiring them. After my fiancé and I had solidified our timeline with our coordinator and run through what we wanted captured on film with Trenton, it seemed as though we might run into an issue capturing our special dessert moments on film. Obviously not wanting to bust our budget, we inquired about adding on 30 more minutes to build in a buffer in case things ran late (which they did...more on that later). Trenton was not willing to accommodate us and said that they could only bill in full hour increments. From a customer service standpoint, that made absolutely no sense. We were willing to pay for half of an hour's worth of filming. We weren't asking for a discount - just to cut the time in half and therefore pay half. This was very disappointing and forced us to alter our timeline yet again - only adding to additional stress in the final week leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, our timeline was busted from the very beginning. Trenton & Bethany stopped by the bridal suite to capture some getting ready shots and a card reading. Unfortunately the shots they wanted to capture ended up taking much longer than we had allotted for (even after going over the timeline with Trenton ahead of time), so the bridal party left the hotel over 45 minutes later than we had planned for. This set back the first look, made everyone feel very rushed and scattered, and cut out much of our pre-wedding photo time with family. Vendors should not be the source of stress for a bride on her wedding day. Period. Additionally, it was clear to us (and others) that Trenton & Bethany did not work well with our photographer, with whom we had spent ample time with discussing our shot lists and timeline. It seemed as though they were constantly "competing" for shots, which led to unnecessary tension. They also clipped microphones on us in visible locations which slowed down the photo taking process because our photographer kept having to move them. Because they clearly did not take the time to communicate with our photographer ahead of time, they actually left the area during our after ceremony photos and then came back after only to require more time of us away from our friends and family on our special day. This ultimately led my groom and I to miss all of cocktail hour, which was a huge disappointment given the extensive planning that had gone into avoiding that. Lastly, after having reviewed our raw footage, there are some additional points that I feel are worth mentioning. When they stopped by the bridal suite to capture getting ready footage, they clipped a microphone on me that recorded all the way through our ceremony (over three hours in length). This was highly unnecessary and captured private conversations and even moments in the restroom! This felt like a total violation of privacy as I played it back. They should have been more intentional about turning my microphone on and off like they did with the groom. In conclusion, our experience working with Trenton & Bethany left much more to be desired. While their videography skills are clearly there, until they are able to step up their client interactions and be more transparent about video production time I would definitely go elsewhere for your videography needs. The video was heartfelt and definitely got myself and others watching it a little teary eyed. Clearly one of the best videographer/photographer I met for weddings and functions. He is young and innovative with a mom and pop old fashioned feel of integrity you can trust. I now use them for all important moments in my life after they did my wedding. I have seen other people's wedding videos and then walked out giving a lame excuse as into why I couldn't stay cause they were boring.Very reasonable in their pricing. They treated me like royalty even. They traveled all the way to New York for my wedding. The wedding video preview trailer is a must have option. I had them do my reception as well, loved it. He showed me some of his work before we started options for me(I appreciate that). He is extremely patient because he has worked with kids teaching them stop motion with Lego's. Which when getting married you need someone who is going to listen to the thoughts and suggestions you have and turn them into something better than you imagined.
