Ron came as a referral from a friend. We loved him at first! After reviewing the fabulous quality of his work, we interviewed, and contracted him as a videographer for our wedding and paid the deposit. He turned very unresponsive to any communication afterward. In the end, he backed out as our videographer a week before our date, when our wedding DoC reached out to confirm final details, which left us scrambling to find a replacement. When he cancelled, he did promise to refund us our deposit, but after our wedding, we tried contacting him multiple times and he did not respond to any follow up messages over email nor phone. We even tried to simplify the process by saying that we were going to send him a Zelle request with a clear note that this is a refund per terms of contract. Five days later, he emailed us a Zelle payment error screen and mentioned he would try again later (for the record, it's difficult to believe him, as I've never seen a Zelle payment fail). I sent him a Vemno request and a my wife sent him a message over social media asking for the refund via Zelle or Vemno. In the morning, we saw he had blocked my wife. I was still able to find and see his full social profile on my phone. We initially did not want to post this review, because he is part of our outer social circle, but felt it is in the public interest to warn others about Ron's absolutely unprofessional and dishonest behavior. We ask other couples to approach with caution, and warn if you are going to pay a deposit, do it through a method that can easily be refunded or just avoid him and go with a trustworthy videographer that responds to emails. Stay safe! EDIT: After he saw our reviews, he did resolve the matter. He mentioned he missed my Venmo notification and Zelle was still not functional. HE'S EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND LIED TO US. Sorry for the long post, but I hope this helps someone avoid the same mistake we made. My husband and I hired Ron as our wedding videographer for our September 2024 wedding. Per our signed contract, we were supposed to receive our videos within 3 months (by December 2024), but we didn't receive them until June 2025 - 9 MONTHS LATER. We were patient and gave him the benefit of the doubt for months. Unfortunately, Ron was incredibly unprofessional and difficult to work with. He didn't provide updates unless we followed up first, and when he did respond, his answers were inconsistent and misleading. At times, he completely ignored our messages. Most concerning of all - he lied to us. This experience was both disappointing and extremely frustrating. He failed to meet deadlines, ignored us for months, and was not honest about what was happening. A good videographer should be professional, communicative, and reliable - Ron was none of those things. For the "feature film" video, it was shorter than what he had written per our contract: 32 mins vs 40-50 mins advertised. We also noticed many important moments were missing despite a full day of shooting by him and his assistant. Overall, the final product felt rushed, especially considering it took him nearly 9 months to deliver. Here's the timeline: * Jan 2025: I emailed Ron for an update. He replied saying he had been sick but was back to work and expected to deliver the videos in February. * Mar 2025: I followed up via email--no response. * Apr 2025: I texted him. He said he had a family emergency and had been in Hong Kong. He claimed the videos were ready and being uploaded to Dropbox, but blamed slow internet speeds in Hong Kong for the delay--saying it could take a week. We never received anything. * Jun 2025: I followed up again via text--no reply. My husband called; it went to voicemail. I messaged his business Instagram (he saw it but didn't respond). Out of frustration, we looked at his personal Instagram and discovered he was actually vacationing in Japan during this time. A few days later, he finally emailed us the video, along with a message that said: "Apologize for the delay response as I went into some family emergency and currently in Hong Kong for the past 2 months." He clearly lied about being in Hong Kong. I knew he would be a phenomenal wedding videographer as he has over 14 years of experience, and filmed over 150 weddings - that number is probably way higher now as we approach towards the end of wedding season. One month after our wedding, I was in awe with our wedding teaser, and was super happy to have this ready. It sure did take a little longer, roughly 5 months from our special day, to finally get our highlight and feature film. We were informed beforehand that the turnaround time is typically 4-6 months. The wait may seem for eternity, but the production is all worth it in the end. The teaser was about 1 mins, 30 secs, capturing some epic moments of our ceremony and reception. I love the highlight, which captures the important moments in about 5 mins, 30 secs. Of course, the feature film was a little over 35 mins, encompassing the entire event beautifully; which is perfect to watch back on anniversary day. I love Ron's use of drones! It just gorgeously showcase the venue. We had two videographers the day of our wedding. Overall, they were able to catch all the important moments regardless if they were big or small. I really appreciate the cinematic technique they bring to the table. There was great lighting, focus, and angles that makes everything glamorous. Okay folks, these videographers also keep the shots steady the entire time. I feel like an actress watching everything back. The wedding day is over in the blink of an eye. I decided to go with ron because I wanted graduation pictures that were more unique compared to the standard studio shots. He captured a lot of great candid moments that went really well with the music (we got to choose the song - we used our first dance song). He also got key parts of our vows in there. We set up some time to meet face to face to get acquainted and to hear more about his videography experience and services. I can't say enough excellent things about Ron and his level of professionalism on our wedding day in downtown Oakland on 7/1/17. Videography was something we were not sure we needed for our big day, but this ended up being a vital addition to encapsulate all the memories of our wedding. People kept telling me that this day is one massive blur, and as the cliche goes, they were right! I would even find myself being very aware of this during specific moments ("It's all going by so fast! Remember this moment!"), followed up w a very specific thought of relief/gratitude: "Thank God Ron's here to film this!" The final product turned out absolutely beautiful!. our videos it's was priceless & its our keepsake for my kids. I could not have asked for a better wedding video. Only did he shoot great video & capture all the important moments from our wedding, but he really cared about making our video sound great. The finished product is amazing.
