This place is so great - we usually come for the different events they hold. I know I can always find a beer I like since they have over 30 specially selected ones on tap. It also has a cute little back room separated from the main bar which would be great for hosting a birthday party or shower. This bar is co-owned by Kimberly who runs the Couve Brew Bevy, which is a monthly meet up for beer-loving femmes. They have a free birthday beer program (sign up for their texts) PLUS free Bingo the 1st Monday of the month. I'm always struck by how friendly and warm the service is. In my opinion, the best bar in Vancouver, WA!

Randomly stopped here for a drink with some old co-workers. Service was great! The 2 workers were so friendly and welcoming. We wanted to order food, but they didn't have any fried foods on the menu. No fries or chicken wings or anything like that. I ended up getting a chicken Caesar wrap and it was really good! The tap house was clean, and it extends to the very back of the building where there is another entrance and darts you can play. Parking lot is super small and tight.

Simple food. Great tap list. Amazing people. The taptenders will help you find beers that you like if you're not well versed on craft beer. Fricken rad.

Limited choices. Expensive! $5 for 4oz. Beers that's cost more than they were worth. People were nice enough

One beer? Alright, one beer ... It was Friday night and, like so many others before it, the war of wills between dieting and drinking was being waged in my mind. I know, I know ... it's a silly amusement that always ends the same way, but, on this Friday, the mental gymnastics came to an abrupt end when my wife, my sweet lovely wife, said she wanted a beer ... just one little pint at Final Draft Taphouse on Mill Plain. 2 hours later ... My liver was suddenly on a first name basis with the taptender (or is it beerista?) because at Final Draft Taphouse, there are 30 regional beers and ciders on tap. Picking one is hard. Sticking to just "one" is impossible. Of course, one beer became two. It inevitably does ... when faced with the Shakespearean dilemma of "two beer or not two beer, that is the question." ... We all know the answer ... and followup poll of "3 beer or 6" ... You can do the math. Along the way, we split some surprising pub grub and one regrettable panino. I'd easily get the simple, but satisfying Meat and Cheese plate with Salami, Duck, and Homemade Jerky plus Smoked Gouda, a Goat Spread, and young Manchego again. An addictive Romaine Wedge Salad was memorable; however, I hope I remember to pass on the Pastrami Panino next time. Anyways, we were here for just a beer, right? As the dinner crowd came and went, my appreciation for local IPAs grew while my sobriety shrank ... thanks to a steady flow including Mass Ascension IPA (6.5% abv / 80 ibu) from Ex Novo (Portland, OR), Wild Fire IPA (7.5% abv / 72 ibu) from Barrel Mountain (Battle Grouind, WA), Fields of Green IPA (7,5% abv / ?? ibu) from Fort George (Astoria, OR), and Trickster IPA (6.9% abv / 68 ibu) from Black Raven (Woodinville, WA). The IPAs were refreshingly hoppy and tasted like I wasn't waking up until after noon. One more beer? Alright, just one more beer ...

A great place to meet and have fun with friends. I love the ambience and friendliness of the staff. Good selection of beers. They have kombucha too! Food was good especially their paninis. I will definitely bring friends over again and recommend this place to people I know!

Would be nice if this place opened before 3pm especially on Friday. Every time I've been by there it's closed.

I went to yelp and was looking for somewhere to go and Brothers Cascadia stood out with all their options. The steak sando and the chicken sando both looked great so we ordered one of each and shared - boy they hit the spot! This is such a fun spot! A good balance of a neighborhood pub but also a place I could bring my kiddo and enjoy a basket of fries. Everyone on the staff was so friendly too. I look forward to coming back.

He enjoys playing dj with his curated music, which also had merit, but again was too loud for a weekday lunch. I'm not an old fart, (I think he and I were close to the same age) but old enough to have lost some hearing in my youth, and it was still a bit loud. The pork rinds were good, surprisingly generous and tasted very fresh. I liked the Tajin on them, but would have preferred it to be an option (shaker on the table) rather than just full coverage. I would have shared them, but the person I was dining with doesn't care do the spice. I ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger with the sauce on the side and it was a generous portion, that was well-cooked. Just the way I ordered it! That being said, the beef was relatively tasteless and the whole sandwich was extremely greasy. The bacon on the sandwich was plentiful and not as greasy as the burger and cheese. I don't know the fries would be seasoned. It may or may not have been on the menu, I honestly can't recall. The place seemed well kept and customer oriented, food service wise, but the ambiance could be dialed down for the lunch crowd. If there was an alternate burger available nearby, I might not give Brothers a second chance. But I can't hate on it. Just a few too many flaws for the price, which was not cheap. Paying over $5 for a Mexican Coke was pretty steep since I didn't see any fountain options. But lastly, too be fair, the bartender was VERY kind!

Having been to places like Leavenworth and Mt. Angel so frequently (not to mention my trip to…read moreGermany a few years back) apparently made me a bit elitist when it came to Bavarian cuisine, and almost completely forget about Gustav's as a consequence. It was only today, when my boss took our department out to lunch here, was I reminded of how many things Gustav's does right, despite being a chain restaurant. The first reminder came in the form of the interior décor; I forgot how charming it is here: from the entrance to the bar and to the dining halls, there are few restaurants in Vancouver as immediately evocative and immersive in their aesthetics. Our server was friendly, welcoming and helpful in her suggestions, particularly for those members of our party to whom German cuisine is very unfamiliar. The food, by and large, is excellent, although the prices are a bit steep for some of the offerings: for example, the goulash is tied for the most expensive item on the menu, along with the Bavarian Feast. One of these dishes makes sense for the price point; the other does not. It's hard to go wrong with the feast, the wurst platter (in any combination), or any of the schnitzels, but sadly, the Kohlrouladen that I ordered (one of my absolute favorites) didn't quite live up to the high bar set by the same dish at Baren Haus in Leavenworth. The two rounds of fondue with sausage that we ordered as an appetizer were well-received (and thoroughly ravaged) by our party of eight in record time! And although I didn't partake (as I have a negative sweet tooth), a trio of desserts finished off our group's meal, and left everyone satisfied. Overall, Gustav does far more right than I remembered, or gave them credit for. Other than my nitpicks about one particular entrée, and some questionable pricing, everything else about Gustav's punches far above its weight class, especially when considering the fact that it is a chain. By that metric, they have no business being as fantastic as they are! With a couple of tweaks, such as a firmer commitment to embracing German authenticity, and toning down the prices a bit, Gustav's will absolutely have a lock on that fifth star that lies just barely outside their reach.
