Awesome place with welcoming and knowledgeable service. Dog friendly! I just wanted an excellent old fashioned in a comfortable place with great vibes and my wish was granted. Thanks Joe and JT!

One of the best happiest hours in the area!!! Cool bartenders, yummy drinks, great beer and delicious food. This is my favorite go to bar in Vancouver hands down. They have more whiskeys in one place you will ever find. Especially in this area. I highly suggest you go there and check it out. Happy hour is 3pm to 7pm.

Cute fun, cozy bar! Excellent drinks & service- Would give 6 stars but they wouldn't let me ride the ladder

Such a nice bar but the service was not so great. There were 2 people in line in the bar ahead of us but the service was soooo slow. I'm not sure why it took so long for the bartender to take our order and make the drinks. We love the food here because they share the same kitchen as Shanahan's. We ordered steak bites and margaritas and a Mai tai. Our friend bought a few of the cigars so we sat outside. Cool outdoor vibes, especially for summer.

I sip and see Money or free , If drinking was studying, I would have owned a Phd Too sad we discovered them very late but glad we did discover them . My hubby loved this place and the drinks so much that we came four days straight in a row once we found them .Its kind of like one of our usual spots in rotation . The place doesn't look much from outside but it's a vibe in there . I would categorize its as your friendly neighborhood dive bar but honestly its so much more. A huge back patio filled with neighborhood folks and friendly banter greets you when you walk in . The large outdoor patio is good for watching a game and is also dog and smoke friendly. The bar area is smallish but still has plenty of seating . What is really amazing here are the drinks and the kick ass whiskey selection . From bottom shelf to top shelf the variety is insane. The bartenders know their stuff and make a mean cocktail no matter what you order . I have taken an obsessive liking to Old Fashioned since I had one here and now my benchmark for a good old Fashioned Is this place . Seriously, any drink you order from the menu wouldn't disappoint you . The bar staff is amazing and very knowledgeable on their collection of whiskeys . They also offer cigars which is not something I have tried but seems to be very popular with the customers. Food is average bar food but reasonably priced -plenty of options. The Garlic cheese bread is exceptionally good . Pricing is very reasonable but can get expensive depending on what alcohol you pick .Goes from $8-$100 a shot . Cant recommend them enough . If you are looking for a great time ,go hang out at the Infirmary !

This place is a fantastic hidden gem. Especially for Bourbon/Whiskey lovers. My fiancé and I LOVE this place. The owner and bartender Stan showcase exemplary service and are incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to spirits and cocktails. If you're in town and wanna try some great spirits & delicious food in a warm, lively joint then this place is for you.

The room alone almost made it worth my time. The English pea risotto was very good, and the house fries were good. The French-oaked flight I requested was a sad effort. The bartender never asked what distillers I had as options other than indicating that Makers 46 must be what I'm after when I said French oaked and creamy was my vibe, to which I raised an eyebrow and indicated I was ok if he started with that in my flight as a base for comparison. Otherwise he never asked whether I'd like to spend good money on something special (I would have said yes) and later claimed these were the only French-oaked bottles they even had in stock despite a claimed inventory of over 2,000 whiskeys. What arrived: Penelope Architect--nothing at all on the nose, something like wood paneling on the palate. Angel's Envy Triple Oak--tasted just like the Angel's Envy Rum Cask I can get at the supermarket. Maker's 46--the best of those three, yet still quintessentially basic as a wheated French-staved bargain buy, which, by the way, I never indicated I was there for. When I diplomatically indicated my that my flight was totally blasé and asked for one last pour in hopes of redeeming the experience, he brought me a redundant Maker's Heart Series in which the heart was made of mildly chocolate-inspired disappointment. Staff clearly put effort into educating and serving, and the environment is special enough that I hope to return with friends for that alone, even though I was rushed out due to a scheduled reservation needing my unscheduled seat. Ultimately the pours left me with an extremely unimpressive result and a future 0-for-2 that I'd be willing to risk in hopes of their redemption. Exceptionally impressive venue, if totally unimpressive flight curation.

I chose the Saville Painkiller Cobbler which was very similar to Piña Colada with Ube. The drink was such a pretty purple shade, dusted with purple sweet potato/taro powder, and served in a Pineapple shaped glass - so aesthetically pleasing and very easy on the palate! My husband got the Pandan Old Fashioned which was very delicious as well - silky, sweet, boozy with a strong Pandan forward profile. For snacks, we got the Shrimp Chips and the Whipped Ricotta with Soppressata that comes with a generous portion of 4 slices of Rustic bread. The shrimp chips were humongous and so light, airy and crispy with a delicate shrimp flavor. The presentation on the whipped ricotta was so beautiful, and it tasted so good with the Calabrian chili and Soppressata! Portland has no shortage of amazing cocktail bars, and this is another place I would come back to if I ever find myself in Portland again!

We were warmly greeted and sat at our table - definitely recommend reservations. The bottles behind the bar and along the wall were beautifully displayed and made for such a cool ambiance. We had a nice spot in the back corner and could check out the whole place. Aaron was our server and she was great, had good recommendations and made sure we were taken care of. Not sure which was better, the way the dishes tasted or the way they looked... either way they were incredible. We tried the beets, the heirloom tomatoes, the whipped ricotta, the tartare and of course the panna cotta. Everything was so elegant and had such unique flavors and textures. I could have that meal multiple times and never get sick of it. Not surprised at all that they are a James Beard Award winner - highly recommend!!
