Trivia on wednesday nights is the best thing they could have done! The energy is so fun, and there's a cohesive theme to each round with really interesting and thought-provoking questions that are challenging but not impossible or unreasonable. I'll give them another try but my first visit was unimpressive. The beer list wasn't up to par with other local pubs and nothing on the food menu called to me. The service was relatively inattentive. I stood at the bar trying to order a beer for a few minutes before the bartender, who was staring at their phone, even noticed me. The ambience gives budget fancy vibes and the decor is a bit kitsch. I recommend sitting at a table instead of the cheap couches. read more

I had been wanting to try The Sipp Public House ever since I saw an Elite Event held there, and I didn't make the list. I had friends that got to go, and it looked amazing! I signed up with a Sip & Paint class being held here. It looked like a beautiful painting and my sister and daughter were both interested in attending with me. There was a big turn out for the class. I felt we were packed in like sardines, so no room for food, but my sister and I ordered the Blueberry Lemon drop..it was delicious! My daughter got some beer on tap, and I believe she enjoyed it. We decided to order food after the class. Towards the end of the class, the lady across from us ordered some type of meat plate. My sister and daughter eat meat, they thought it looked and smelled good. So after class, we headed over to the lower tables to order food.y sister and daughter ordered the meat plate, not sure what it was. They said theirs didn't look as good as the lady's..it was on the burnt side. We got spinach artichoke dip with crostini, and asked for chips, also the baked Brie with pita and a jam of some sort. The only vegan part of that was the chips and pita and jam. There weren't a lot of vegan/ vegetarian options. My sister got bread pudding to go, and she was surprised there was bacon on top. She didn't like that. She also sent me a photo of the canned beverage that she took home, it had an expiration date from 8/18/25. I'm sure it was fine. Our church has been welcomed to hold a Brewed Theology event here twice now and it's been very a great experience each time. There are plenty of beer/cider options that seem enjoyable for those that partake but I am not one as it's not my type of drink. However this place has several excellent options that can be picked for drink options - especially the Marion Berry Lemon Drop! It's my absolute favorite. Great taste, presentation and price point. The food options are plentiful as well - very tasty & price point is also on par. The location is easy to find, parking isn't an issue. The use of space & atmosphere is welcoming & has enough space and more for small or large gatherings. The service is the same - always welcoming. I look forward to coming here more & exploring more of the menu & you should give it a shot as I know you will be hooked like me! read more

We loved our experience at The Sipp! I don't drink so I tried their French non alcoholic wine. Wow! It was so flavorful! The taste of the grapes really came through without being very sweet. My husband enjoyed the orange peach mimosa cider. It was fruity and refreshing. The mezza plate showcased some of their appetizers. I loved them all! The chicken skewer, the potatoes (they were wedges with Parmesan cheese on them), roasted broccolini nestled atop a pillow of whipped feta, stuffed mushrooms, etc. sang with beautiful flavor. My husband deemed the Broccolini Caesar Salad the best salad he's had all year! I hope The Sipp succeeds. They deserve to. read more

If you haven't been to Sipp in Hazel Dell yet, you're seriously missing out. This place absolutely delivers. Brian and Emily are incredible and you can feel their presence right away. They're always involved and have created a space that's welcoming, spacious, and effortlessly cool for all ages. There's always something going on with trivia, live music, paint nights, book clubs, and pop-ups that give it a real community feel. The beer selection is top tier with 20 rotating taps from across Oregon and Washington. Brian runs Packmule Beer Club so there's always something unique coming through, plus great options to take home. The food and cocktails are creative, always changing, and consistently excellent. Bottom line: Sipp is one of those places you go once... and then suddenly it becomes your spot. Whether you're there for a drink, an event, or just the atmosphere, it hits every time. We came in for a drink and a bite during the week because we expected it wouldn't be too busy. Lots of seating including comfy couches. Service was great and super friendly. I thought my partner had ordered French Onion soup and was happy to realize it was a dip so I could have some too. Skewers really hit the spot as well. First time visiting Sipp's was so great, we returned the next day for more. The people are warm, friendly and very oersonaThey have a wide variety of beers and make a fantastic margarita with dehydrated apples which were delicious. Our friends that live near The Sipp have been raving about it, so we finally met them here for brunch on a Saturday. It looks quite lovely inside, more like you'd expect for an upscale cafe, with some swanky decor design elements. Their entire food menu is rather unique & elevated, not just your standard pub fare, and everything looks delicious! They open early on the weekends and have a brunch menu that's so tempting you'll want to order one of everything. The food portion sizes are small (but truly a healthy individual portion size, which I appreciate), BUT the food prices are low, too, which I loved because you can mix & match different items if you want to try a few things, or just order one if you aren't super hungry. We each ordered a different brunch item along with some others to share and everyone loved the food. I had the smoked pork belly egg benedict (single portion, with 1 poached egg with pork belly, half an English muffin & the sauce), and I think it was the BEST pork belly I've ever had, with the perfect char on it to crisp up those edges. They had 17 local/regional beers & ciders on tap when we visited, and they also serve wine and cocktails, along with N/A options. They also have 3 upright coolers with an eclectic mix of local beverages in cans & bottles for to-go (one of the coolers is around the corner, so don't forget to take a peek there). Their beer selection is excellent, with special beers and insider picks you don't always see elsewhere. The bar itself feels welcoming and lively without being overwhelming. What really sets Sipp apart is the people. The owners, waitstaff, and bartenders are genuinely kind and attentive, which makes the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. They also do a great job with events--karaoke, trivia nights, and other specials add to the fun and give the place real community energy. It's the kind of spot that works equally well for a casual drink, a group night out, or just relaxing on a couch with a great beer. Highly recommend if you're in Hazel Dell. Food was priced fairly, we had the pork belly, artichoke dip, which had a nice kick to it and fresh vegetables, mushrooms, stuffed with sausage and pesto, which were delicious and chicken skewers, which were OK. It's a typical public house in that the ambience was with bright overhead lights while trying to at the same time to be cozy like a wine bar. You have to go up to the bar to order, there's no table service. They sell all Oregon wines. They let you taste them to see if you want one or another. We went on trivia night. I don't like going to restaurants during trivia night because it feels like the whole ambience takes over other patrons who are not participating. Can't get away from the loudspeaker loud music and everything just changes the vibe. read more

Stopped by after looking at their menu online on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Great ambience, customer service, food and drink. I got their beet salad and a maple bourbon cider, both very tasty and I enjoyed them at an outdoor picnic table. Will definitely be back to try more menu items! read more

An excellent pub to visit if you like a wide range of beers including some you won't have tasted before as the owner fetches kegs from breweries all over Washington (go PackMule) Menu is mostly appetizer type food right now but the cheesy pin wheels were great. Trivia was awful. Our trivia team is comprised of folks with different areas of expertise (history, literature, geography, movies, pop culture , sports, etc.) When 100% of the 40 questions revolved around beer, they all checked out. SIPP offers a more varied menu in a very comfortable, friendly environment. The food is exceptional, as are the drink selections. We opted for the sausage pesto mushrooms and the sausage pinwheels, both of which were wonderful. The chicken skewers are also fabulous. Some of the brews are nice and hoppy (our preference). The servers and are friendly and bend over backwards to make sure you get the very best eating experience. I went there opening night and ordered everything on the menu to try. The service was awesome with someone passing by the table at least every ten minutes. The food came out in a timely manner. My favorite was the shrimp and the stuffed mushrooms but legitimately everything was delicious. Their prices were affordable. For a brand new place, I think they are already off to a good start!
