I was instructed to wait for their call in the multiple reminders sent to me. At 1:30 however no one called. This was a phone consult. They only provided the banker's contact. I called her after 3 min no one picked up so I left her a message at 1:33 pm. I did not hear back. i only heard back over an hour later. She explained she thought it was "in person" and she was the only agent in addition, she had "a lot of walk ins". etc. She also blamed me by saying "you stated it was to discuss a saving plan..". So? Was that why they dismissed my appt? if I indicated "new acct" and the amount such as several zeros would that motivate them to see me? Even if they thought it was "in person" and client no show. They were at their desk, why would people not answer the phone nor check message? None of their excuses make any sense. I took this appt seriously i changed appt when I did not think I could make it. I set asides my busy schedule to book a meeting to begin with. You know something, No manager called to apologize. No service evaluation sent to me. I have multiple products with them. Thìs is how they treat me.

Ariel sat very patiently while I was fighting a meltdown from forgetting my code to open my phone. Forgot my password as well. She did not make me feel stupid. She was so supportive. You need to remember that there are baby boomers that are still struggling with technology. To charge a person $5 for a statement is ridiculous and not fair. Because of Ariel, I kept my account open and am forever thankful to her for hanging in there with me. If I was her boss I would definitely give her a raise!!! I originally stopped to the Buena Park branch to have my accounts looked over due to some fraud/scheme scenario. American First contacted me and urged me to hang up the call on the other line because I was in the middle of being "scammed". The bank rep. froze my account and urged me get to a branch ASAP. Tiffany Cleveland listened to my situation and began to help me out. As she was working away she informed me that I could apply for a Consolidated Loan and how much money I could save. I agreed. Lisa Davila then contacted me and she carefully explained the terms and she answered all my questions. American First Credit Union saved me from getting "Scammed" , thanks also to the representative who began all this with a courteous and quick phone call. The entire staff is Great and they taught me how to handle these types of situations in the future and how to better protect my financial growth. On 2/11/2025 I went into FMB to close my checking account I had with them, because my wife and I…read moredecided that we didn't need this account any longer. As soon as I walked I got immediately into line and I noticed a particular banker just staring at me. At first I thought maybe he was just scouting the line out and seeing how many people were in line, however he kept looking at me. There can be several reasons why some looks at you multiple times, however as an employee of a business it can be unsettling to a customer to do this. I was next in line and this employee finished with the customer they were helping and called me next. I noticed that someone else was with him and as I walked up I glanced at both name tags (Roberto Villanueva) and (Melissa Vice President) of which I confirmed at a later date were the names of the employees who helped me. I advised them that I was closing my checking account and they asked me what was the reason, which is a normal question, I explained to them I didn't need the account anymore. I'm not sure if they took offense with that, however it was weird that Mr. Villanueva has been staring at me more than once when I got into line. After completing my account being closed I asked them for a receipt or something that showed this transactions (closed the checking account and withdrew all the funds) and they told me no we can't do that and I would have to go online to get it. I asked how long will I have access and their answer was a while longer. At this time Melissa was just smiling at me (almost like she was laughing at me) and Mr. Villanueva had a serious look on me like I was someone he was disgusted with. I was taken aback because I never heard of closing an account and not being able to receive a withdrawal slip or having some sort of print out showing the account was closed or both. I just shook my head and started left, because what could I do. As I was walking out of the door I got on my cell phone and as I was on the phone I just happen to turn around just as I was pushing the door open and Mr. Villanueva was staring at me intently and then suddenly pretended to look away. It was odd because he made me feel like I had done something wrong for closing my account. On 3/25/2025 I decided to go back to the same Farmers and Merchant and ask a different banker why I couldn't get a receipt or printout. Nadine, who I believe was an account specialist/banker, helped me and I do not want this review to reflect on her for immediately helping me because she was very kind and professional. However, Nadine looked puzzled as to why I wasn't given some sort of receipt or printout showing my account was closed along with the withdrawal. I couldn't believe that it took no more than a minute or two to bring up my account and print out an Individual Activity Statement which shows my entire history here. I have no idea why Mr. Villanueva and VP Melissa seemingly went out of their way to make such an easy transaction like that difficult for me. Again, thank you very much to Nadine, but to the VP Melissa and Villanueva I don't know what I did to them for them to treat me that way and that's why I'm rating this not good because of this incident with them!

Our non-profit credit card was turned off due to an updated document that was needed. It was NOT a…read morepayment issue, as it is paid in full monthly. I sent the signed document and waited 6 weeks. I called and was told by Elan- the name of the credit card company- that I was sent the wrong form to sign and I was sent another form. I was told to wait a week. Two weeks later and after repeated calls and rejections of my card, Elan reps told me they would "File a Complaint" within their company, and that I could not receive a letter to verify that this was done, nor do they know who I should speak to. I also approached Comerica Bank on Ocean Blvd in Long Beach, and the bank in Marina Del Rey where I own a property. The bank managers pleaded "no knowledge" on what to do, since it is an Elan credit card. Grant it, that it is Elan at fault, the card says "Comerica" and none of the 3 managers mentioned were able to help. I am switching banks next week. I have been driven insane with this poor service. Otherwise, the banks are clean, safe, and people generally pleasant. However, my credit score for a card that has been "closed" or "in question" has gone down. I blame Comerica. It is an unacceptable way to treat clients - I guess they have plenty and I am not a high roller. However, my credit score has always been in the 800s and I worry for what it is today! Enough is enough.

We didn't make an appointment so we waited about an hour to see someone. Luckily my son didn't mind (he was to excited) Nadia helped us, she was fantastic. She was very welcoming and communicated with my son (brought him out of his shell) went above and beyond helping us.
