Jessica Finch and team do fantastic work! Finch is the only place I go! The entire staff provides outstanding customer service and knows their customers by name. This time I had a ring that needed resized. The ring was handed down to me and taken to another jeweler first. I wish I had a before picture. When I received the ring it was not in the shape of a circle. I was told that the jeweler said there was no other way to size the ring down to fit me. In October I email Finch Jewelers to inquire about a possible custom made piece of jewelry and to get more information. Jessica replies to a few of my emails but then stopped and told me just to come in the store if I want to discuss it further and she never gave me any details on price or what it may require. I went in on a Saturday and she was not there. At that time I also left a ring to get appraised and let them know I would be having a major surgery that week and the best way to contact me would be by email or by phone as I wouldn't be able to come in for a while. Fast forward to today January 7th and up until now I have not heard a thing from this establishment about either my ring I dropped off nor the custom jewelry pieces I had wanted to have made. I went to the store to pick up my ring today. I was treated with ugly looks and rude whispering comments as I was asking for my ring back which I had the claim ticket for all because I am assuming that I don't look like their typical clientele. About an hour or two later after I collected my ring and told them they will not be getting any business from me especially when it comes to custom pieces I received a voicemail from Jessica saying they are human and make mistakes. 3 months is not a mistake with no contact is NOT A MISTAKE! To make a long story short: The team at Finch Jewelers is outstanding and showed us perfect customer service and jewelry repair skills. My wife and I have an engagement ring and wedding band that had lots of damage due to a fraudulent jewelry repair facility that did the sizing and soldering improperly a few years ago. The rings' solder joint broke, and then literally broke at the sizing point on the shanks. The shanks themselves were thinned out excessively as well. My wife and I took our damaged rings all over the place in the attempts of finding a jewelry repair facility that gave us a comforting feeling that they would fix the damage properly, the first time. This was literally a process that took about a year and countless hours of research. We had been burned so badly by the first repair facility that we were overly cautious about who we'd take our rings to. We took our rings to Finch Jewelers and had Ron Finch take a look and tell us what his expert opinion was on how it needed repaired. He immediately took us to the work room and went through the entire process and pointed out what happened and how it needed repaired. The staff at the store made us comfortable and listened to all of our needs (and our overabundance of paranoid questions...). The treatment we received at Finch Jewelers was above and beyond what we experienced at all of the other repair facilities we had been to previously. We had Ron do the work and they had it finished on time, at the price quoted, and the final product was breathtaking. I'm an engineering program manager and let me tell you that nothing is better than hitting the big-three of Cost, Performance, and Schedule. This is the sign of quality, and you can't always find that. The rings came back as beautiful as the day we bought them and the ugly scars of the shoddy work done by the other jeweler disappeared. I couldn't say enough good things about Ron and Jessica Finch (and the rest of the staff who was also courteous). Finch Jewelers is an excellent and one of the premiere Jewelers in the area. My husband and I purchased our wedding bands from Finch and have never looked back. The service was beyond extraordinary. Jessica, her Dad and the rest of the Finch family did such a wonderful job in making us feel special. They were eager to help us with all our jewelry needs. They consistently went above and beyond in service and were always there to speak to when we had questions or concerns. My husband and I recently celebrated our four year anniversary. I look down at my hand and my unique ring evokes all the wonderful memories and decisions my husband and I have had over the past four years and hope to have as we move forward. When we were looking for my wedding band, I was looking for something a little more unique than what I could typically find in other jewelry locations. But once I walked into Finch, Jessica and her staff were determined to help me. They fortunately had a the wedding band I was looking for. It wasn't one they designed, but it was beautiful and I was thrilled. Six months after the purchase the white gold ring started to loose the while gold colour. We knew that this would happen with a while gold ring, but didn't think it would happen that quickly. We called Finch and they immediately suggested bringing it in so they could re-coat it, free of charge. Unfortunately, a year later the ring started to turn again and then one of the smaller diamonds fell out. Obviously frustrated, we called Finch again and spoke directly with Jessica. She apologized for this experience and explained that they strive to select pieces for their store that equate to the quality of their own beautiful pieces, but occasionally a ring they purchase doesn't turn out as they expected, at no fault of their own. Jessica was extremely sympathetic and helpful during this process. This is when their service went above and beyond anything I have yet to experience. Jessica spoke with her Father, and they agreed to remake the ring, using their materials, free of cost. My husband and I were shocked. We expected some assistant, but not this. They then made this beautiful ring I found, into an even more beautiful piece. It was exactly the same as the other one that we purchased, but the white gold was a better quality. They quickly remade the ring and returned into within the month. WOW is all I can still think! I just want to thank Jessica, her Dad and the rest of the Finch staff for a stellar example of what excellent service can be. They went well beyond what we ever expected and are eternally grateful. I recognize that a wedding band and rings are a materialistic possession and am grateful that I am lucky enough to have one. As I mentioned before, the wedding band for me reminds me all the reasons why I am chose the partner I did and all the wonderful and challenging times we have together. Marriage is challenging and exceptional all at the same time and my wedding band reminds me to be grateful every single day.
