We have used Mario and his crew three times now. The first was to fix and patch up a leaking ceiling, while the second and third times were to repaint the entire condo units. Mario is by far the most professional business owner in this business - he listens to what you want, lists out the invoice very clearly by dimensions and is honest about what are the cost drivers. His crew does a great job at a very reasonable price as you can see in my photos. They're also good at sanding down and restraining outdoor furniture and pergolas. So sharing a quick story about our home purchase in April.. It was a week long job and we hadn't moved in yet. Mario called us one morning because his workers found one of the glass staircases shattered when they entered. Neither of us knew what had happened but he showed us where the impact came from (didn't hide it) and took ownership of the glass replacement and paid for it, although it wasn't sure if his guys had caused it. It was something my husband and I really appreciated and thought was extremely nice of him to do. Lastly our real estate agent is also now using Mario for his clients upon our recommendations. We needed drywall repaired in our home for a leak in the roof and we wanted to paint our living room and kitchen a new color. I reached out for a painting job that needed to be done ASAP after another painter was a no-show. I called Fine Painting and left a voicemail, and Mario called back within the hour. Mario was able to have me scheduled for the very next day! Mario was honest and fair with his pricing. He anticipated my job to possibly take more than 8 hours, and if it did, there would be a per-hour rate after the initial 8 hours. With past experiences, when I'm quoted a per hour rate after a set time, I KNOW it will take the "extra" time. So when Luis, our painter, was done within the 8-hour time frame, I was shocked. Mario did say Luis was a hard worker, and he was right. The paint job was perfect. I massacred one wall after trying to remove wallpaper, and a few holes needed to be patched. You can't even tell there was ever a hole or any damage. There is no texture differences from the regular wall and where the wall was patched. Luis was on time, clean and meticulous in his work. Mario and his team are experts at cabinet painting. Our 20+ year old kitchen cabinets were looking tired and the paint was chipped off in several places due to wear and tear. A full remodel is still years off for us, so we decided to paint the cabinets and see if that could give us a refresh in the meantime. I like white cabinets but never loved ours with the granite, so we decided to have some fun and switch out the color for something more tonal and cohesive with the existing granite and backsplash. I'm a Chicago entertainer who has been traveling extensively, and living on the West Coast for decades. I decided to move back to my condo on the Gold Coast, but before I could do that, I needed to repaint and rehab my apartment. The best decision we could have made! Mario was great and easy to work with when scheduling and answering our many questions. They took such great care when working on our home. The team completely covered our newly refinished floors with paper and used plastic to cover all of our cabinets. Everything was taped off, and outlet covers removed. He listened intently as to the projects' issues and needs, worked with us to understand the options and devise a plan, gave a quote that he kept-to, and as importantly was clear on availability and the timeline which he also met. Once that was complete, Mario came by quickly upon my first call to assess an provide a quote. Then started very soon after. He put up new dry-wall with insulation, and painted the room. We also opted to install oak wood flooring which he coordinated. And finally, we refinished all the hardwood floors in the upstairs level (dark). My wife also wanted to use a specific type of oil on the floor that he was willing to utilize. We were happy with all the results and the project was done on time. 2019 We had water damage caused by the unit above us. Mario's team fixed our ceiling and we opted to refinish/paint our cabinets. Mario again was great through the process, coming out right when I called and very available and communicative throughout. They took extra care to cover the surrounding area as he knew we had 'just' refinished the floors and other things in that room. I don't want to elaborate on this final point much, but part of the ceiling had not come together perfectly, I only bring it up because Mario ensured his team worked the area until we were satisfied. The cabinets turned out great! He does over free touch-ups within X amount of years, which I'm sure will come in handy after some time has past. But, after a year, they still look good.
