On Sunday around 4:40 p.m., I purchased a case of Simply Spiked Lemonade 12 pk. The employee placed the case in my backseat, and I moved it to the floor because I didn't want it sitting on my seat. When I arrived at my destination and went to pick up the case, I noticed liquid leaking from it. After checking it I found that at least two cans had tiny holes and were leaking. The cans weren't opened, but they were leaking enough to make a mess and leave my car smelling like alcohol. At 4:58 p.m., I immediately called the store to let them know what had happened, but they were already closed at 4:50 pm per Google so I left a voicemail. I wasn't calling to ask for a refund or replacement I simply wanted to let them know there may have been an issue with the product. Since the cans were leaking all over my car, I discarded them. After not receiving a return call, I called again today. The employee returned my call, but before I could fully explain what happened, I was immediately told it couldn't have happened because they check every case before it leaves the store. I repeatedly explained that I wasn't asking for money back I only wanted to make them aware of what had occurred. Instead of listening, I was talked over, and they hung up on me. I called back and asked the gentleman who had been rude to me if he was the owner. He said he was. I then asked for his name, and he told me I didn't need to know his name and proceeded to hang up on me. I understand that businesses may disagree with a customer's account, but there's a respectful way to handle those conversations. I wasn't looking for compensation I simply wanted to make them aware of a product issue. What disappointed me wasn't the leaking cans it was how my concerns were handled. Based on this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
