Today we came in and asked for a nail polish change for my daughter's gel-x. My daughter tried to paint them on her own. Nicky quoted me $55 to do a nail polish change for my daughter. I felt it was a little outrageous, but I went with it. But then Nicky and two other girls were laughing at my daughter and making fun of her. It made her and me feel really small. First -- $55 for a polish change (even on Gel-X) is already on the high side in many salons. But the pricing isn't even the real issue here. The laughing. That's what crosses the line. My daughter was brave enough to try doing her own nails. That's creative, independent, and honestly kind of adorable. To have adults mock her for it? That's unprofessional and unkind. I came here yesterday for the first time and was really impressed by their service. I was assisted by Lorie and really showed great care for her work and taking care of my nails. She noticed my nails had some breakage and she really took time to make sure that my nails will make it to my next appointment without lifting or breaking the way they had. She did a great job with the hard gel and the cat eye effect. Specifically, I appreciated that she filed down the hard gel to the appropriate thickness. Found this place on Yelp and called to make an appointment to come in 30 minutes later. I explained to her I only needed one hand to be worked on as my other hand was in a cast, and she was totally fine. The place was clean and spacious and despite having only one other customer when I came in, they didn't crank up the TV or the speaker, but instead played calming Christmas music. The lady that helped me was very knowledgeable and worked really fast. I think I was done in less than 40 minutes. I was offered water and even cough drops because of my cough. So attentive. These are the best nails I've ever gotten. They're sleek, elegant, not bulky, very fast process ~35 minutes for my design and length, and the durability is great because I'm a phlebotomist and I work with my hands a lot. First time coming here and i had no idea if theyre good. The lady that did my pedicure is so nice and did a relaxing massage on my leg. I got the one with salt scrub, steam and hot stone for $35. The place is still new and so clean. The massage chairs are new and a big add on to my relaxing experience. When I called ahead to inquire about pricing for a basic nail treatment with a small charm, I was quoted $35. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that I was charged $60 instead. In addition, during a previous visit, I opted for a more intricate design (frenchies with gold accents), which cost $60 as well. This time, however, I requested a simpler single color look and was still charged the same amount. Furthermore, I asked for the rock service during my appointment, but when the stones were too hot for comfort, the technician did not take any steps to cool them down or provide an alternative solution. As a result, I ended up not receiving the rock service at all, which was disappointing. The service I received was extremely disappointing. However, what truly shocked me was the response I received after expressing my dissatisfaction. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, I received a harassing phone call from the salon along with a text message. ( pics below) They left a message that was rude and unprofessional, which was completely uncalled for. I paid $60 for a gel pedicure only for the charm to fall of less then 2 days later.
