I was dreading this process (and, come to find out, pretty clueless.) I made the appointment weeks ago and showed up early. I was the only person in the lobby and was immediately greeted. I'll be really honest though, if I didn't have Carissa, I'm sure I would have done everything wrong and cried later. She caught the mistake for what service I needed, performed the live scan SO FAST, and saved me from sending more money to the state then I needed. This is my second visit to this facility and this second time, Carissa has made a lasting impression. From her knowledge, and customer service, this facility is lucky to have her. I was a walk in today, and I must say that from start to finish my experience was wonderful - including a VERY short wait! I needed live scan fingerprints and a photo for a government website that I never could have navigated without the help of 3 wonderful ladies there. Drew greeted me when I entered, walked me through the process - which included using a "QR" code. Now, I'm not very comfortable using that kind of a code - in fact, I find them daunting and hard to use. But she helped me with my cell phone camera and, with her help, I successfully navigated an intimidating government web site. Then Shaylee called me to get my digital prints - another first for me. But she was very kind and patient and explained everything that needed to be done. When we were done, she helped my download everything to a thumb drive I could take with me! Huzzah! Sadly, I did not get the third young lady's name working there as well, but she was great too. She helped me navigate a particularly difficult section I had to fill out on the government web site. All 3 of them were kind, courteous, helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in good old fashioned "customer care" - which too often seems a disappearing talent with businesses. All 3 of them were excellent ambassadors for their company! The cost of the service was very reasonable, and, when taken in perspective of how easy they made the experience, a real bargain! I booked an appointment here and waited 45 minutes. They really need to hire more people. The people are friendly and professional. But one of the ladies was really ditsy. She said she would maybe remember to scan my paperwork into the system. I didn't find it cute that she said she would try to remember??? Do you job. Quick and easy! Came here to request for a federal background check for a visa application. Although appointments can be made for up to 4pm, we had to go as walk-in because we went after 5pm. There was only one other person there. They have covid-related notices everywhere. Their waiting area seating were appropriately distanced, and they had hand sanitizers available, if needed. The staff were efficient and friendly. They knew exactly what we were asking for and provided details and differences among the types of background checks to be done. I came here for fingerprints for my job and they listed me under nursing and messed up the paperwork and charged me $80. I then had to return to this location to get my prints done again and the staff was very unprofessional and rude, which then ticked me off she then asked if I had certain papers that she didn't ask for the first time around making me have to go back to work get a paper and return here for a third time. The third time around the same lady helped me and had a rude demeanor and tone towards me. She then decided to play games and silently asked for my ID and then decided to speak up and ask for it again. This location all three times was just over all disrespectful. read more

Need a box of documents shredded? This is your spot! 5$ for the first pound 2$ per remaining pounds--Don't be shocked but paper is heavy! Still less costly than the outfit that comes to your home, really not cost effective unless you have lots to shred. Best deal is to "hit" the free shred-it events around town but since I missed that, this is next best. They will allow you to witness the shredding if you like for an even greater sense of security. I needed an FBI Background check, which can be done online and through the post office, but the staff here could answer all my questions, and take care of me quickly. The Sparks police office does not offer fingerprinting services on Monday, and even the police assistant who helped me had a difficult time figuring out if the Reno police office or the sheriff's office provided that service on Mondays. She recommended I go to Fingerprinting Express, which is exactly what I did to get my two cards to onboard at my new job. I was able to walk in without an appointment, and 15 minutes and $20 later, I had what I needed. Two cards for $20 is a great deal. I received very friendly customer service at intake, at payment, and during the actual fingerprinting. The folks here know what they are doing because they specialize in it. The waiting room was very pleasant. The location, two doors down from the Verizon store at the corner of the Smithridge plaza, was easy to find. Less than a wonderful experience. I have never been here before. I called ahead, made an appointment, then had to wait for almost an hour while "Walk in photos" etc. just came and went. When they finally assisted me, it was like dealing with a DMV associate that couldn't be more "put off" by being forced to assist me. Cold, unfriendly, and not very welcoming. I told her what I wanted, and she convinced me I needed something different. Assuming she knows best as this is her industry, I said "OK, if, you're sure?" She replied "Absolutely." The girls doing my prints were very nice, not much dialogue, but I'm ok with that too. Better nothing than the disgust I got at the counter. Also, you should beware. If this is NOT something you want made public, this is NOT your place. They announce your name, phone number, and other details to which anyone in "ear shot" can have. I have told my female friends to use caution as to who is around when they announce your personal information, up to and including why you are getting prints done which I feel is no one's business at all. For example, they will call out in front of everyone "Kelly for gaming." Or "Pat for cannabis." "Tracy for federal background." This detail is no one's business and they should certainly work better to protect people's personal information. Now, the worst part. She was wrong. The print process that she assured me would work for my needs, was not what I needed. When I called to inform her that I was out that money she stated "interesting, usually that works for that need, but sometimes that happens." Not let me make it right, let me refund you, let me meet you in the middle. Just "interesting, usually that works for that need, but sometimes that happens." Needless to say, I did not go back there, I found another way to make it happen, and I won't be back, nor will I let my family, with their lack of confidentiality with my details who knows what could have happened. read more

Check in process was easy, however I had a 930 appointment and I wasn't taken back for prints till nearly 1030. What's the point of making an appointment if you don't abide by it. Several walk-in were able to go before me and they didn't prioritize appointments. Unfortunately this is the only place in town other than the law enforcement offices. read more

I just walked in and they had me back and were fingerprinting me within ten minutes. I also had to get a TB test for employment, and they offer that service as well.
