I've been to this location multiple times and so far I've never walked in this store without one or more of their employees greeting me and asking if I need help. The only other sneaker store in Tanforan that acknowledged customers when they walk in and offer customer service has left the mall. So I want to start off by saying I am a regular customer, I come to this specific store at least a few times a week. One of the managers that has been there quite some time (Matt) is awesome, he was the original reason I have stayed faithful. But recently I have to say the staff at this store are all pretty great. The store has changed managers and has gotten rid of important team members who make the experience enjoyable. New manager is completely careless, pompous, and ultimately lazy. I still applaud the employees for sticking there, however, I can no longer shop here ever again. Update: I came in earlier today and wanted to adjust my prices for the shoes I had ordered online because I had coupons to use. The moment I walk in NO ONE greets me and I have to walk all the way up to the counter to get help. The manager, a Filipino woman, completely ignored me and the assistant manager, Fabiana, happily helped me. I was able to get my prices adjusted and was happy. On the way out, an associate and the store manager both completely ignored me AGAIN. I wish I could give those certain people no stars whatsoever. When I get to the store, raffle ready for purchase during store hours, the store has additional timelines for people to purchase within a 2 hour window by last name that they made up. It's posted on their counter in paper copy, that no one can possibly see due to malls barely reopening. This other guideline for purchase totally conflicts with the raffle terms and emails sent out from Finishline. I'm done with Finishline and I'm deleting my app, unsubscribing to their emails and never walking in their store ever again (including @ Macy's). Bye bye Finishline! read more

I called Monday and was told the raffle for the infrared 4's was done on the app last week which sounded kind of weird to me since the downtown location was doing it in store I came by Thursday the day of the release to see if they had any mens pairs leftover/unclaimed and was told by a lady that they did not have any leftover. I stuck around because I had a bad feeling about this whole situation and I saw the same lady selling the 4's to certain people. Crazy thing is she was holding multiple pairs for them not even just 1 pair. I'm not sure what kind of deal she has going on with those people but it's shady. This location is one of the least helpful places. There were three employees just standing there talking and watching as we measured our own daughters foot and even after that still didn't ask if we needed anything. We then had to interrupt them to ask for a size. And you have to practically yell because they have the music turned up so loud. This place has terrible customer service. There's 3 employees working 11/8/2014. Seconds after walking in we were greeted by a busy female employee. The store seemed fairly empty, which is to be expected at about 8:15pm. My husband and I looked at shoes waiting to be helped but instead were ignored for about 20-25 minutes. I started to look around to see if I could see an available employee. 2 of 3 Employees were helping the last of the customers and the last employee was hanging out behind the empty register, named Ahmed. I stared at Ahmed for about 3 minutes which would usually bring an employee over to help but not this time. He just looked directly at me and continued to ignore the opportunity to come over and help. We've been here many times prior to get my husband new sneakers and usually each employee is juggling 2+ customers but not tonight. After another 6+minutes Ahmed finally decided it was time to help. Of course I took a peep at his name tag because of the blatant disregard to want to do his job, which he noticed and after looking in the back for 2 pairs of shoes he came back out with his name tag flipped so that his name wasn't showing. Besides this wonderful experience we've ran into one issue in particular more often than not with this store. They never seem to have a good inventory of sizes. My husband is a size 13. If you want us to shop here there needs to be a better inventory. read more

My oldest girl came to me at 8:30 pm complaining of shin splint like symptoms, and reported that she had to run in gym the next day for a grade. I checked out her shoes only to find they no longer fit right and probably had lost their shock absorbing value. So off to the Tan Foran Mall we raced and barely made it into the "Finish Line" store before closing. Trying to make a 15 year old girl pick out shoes in 5 minutes is nearly impossible. Fortunately Julian and Fabiana (I hope I got their names right) were so gracious and patient and told us we had all the time we needed. They had great product knowledge and brought out several different models and got her the right shoes and the best fit. I came here in March to buy new running shoes as I kept getting blisters with an older pair. I heard good things about the Nike Free Runs and it had been a while since I bought new Nikes so I knew I needed a store with excellent customer service to help me with my purchase. Finish Line did exactly that. I wished I remember the name of the girl that helped me. She was patient with me when I asked to try on different sizes of the Nikes since it has been a while since I bought shoes. I'm usually an 8 1/2 but Nike Frees run a little small, she ended up getting me a 9 1/2 and because they didn't have the color I wanted in store, she ordered the color that I wanted online for me. Free shipping and right to my door within a week. Excellent service even though she kind of sweet talked me into buying foot insoles that I didn't really need. :D Now that's salesmanship! read more

I was searching for new shoes for my daughter and walked into Finish Line because they always have a good selection and sometimes at a good price. I stood there for a good ten minutes before someone asked if I needed help with a size. The guy who walked up to me had this smirky attitude as if he didn't care about his job, then when he spoke to me he was walking away so I couldn't hear him. My sister in law told me he said he was going to check on the size. I didn't notice when he came back out but he never told me whether they had the size or not. He was just walking around talking to another girl who worked there. I stood there for another few minutes waiting on him to tell me if they had the shoes but he never did. I was happy to place an order online for storepick-up. However I didn't receive a call-back as stated on their website. I guess they are supposed to confirm and let me know when my order would be available for pick-up. I wasn't happy with the female who answered the phone because she left me on hold for 5 minutes and supposedly knew what my online order was. There was a guy who picked up my call and made the confirmation. Going there to pick up was easy and convenient. This store isn't a big store, BUT it has a well enough variety of what most people need when they buy a shoe. I didn't buy anything here but I have visited a couple times. When it comes to customer service, Eddie is the guy to go to. He'll make sure that customer comes first. Most of the employees have great customer service. i am really sensitive when people don't greet me or recognize me when I enter the store. Some of them don't even greet, but most of them do. I have ordered from Finish Line before with no problem, this time I returned an order on 04/04/2020 to UPS it arrived to the Finish Line warehouse on 04/08/2020. Finish Line website says that upon receipt of the order an email would be sent and a refund processed. I never got the email and I had to call them about the return on 04/14/2020 and I was told that a request for the refund would be initiate ????? Why would I need to request money back from an order that i have properly returned according to their return policy and again the website's information is contradicting to what I was told. I was told from that time it would take 3-5 days for the refund so a total of 3 weeks for an order received on the 30th, returned 04/04/2020 received back at the warehouse on 04/08/2020 and I had to request that the refund be sent to me ???for an order I no longer have and have already paid in full for I will not be ordering again. read more

Wow...great customer service! I received a pair of Kyrie 5's for Christmas, but one shoe was a size 8 and the other was size 9. Of course, I had to return them. I went to the Finish Line in Tanforan to see if I could return them and one of the employees told me I had to go to the Finish Line in Westfield because it was originally purchased there. I obviously didn't want to go all the way to Westfield, but the manager, Chris helped me out and ordered a pair in size 9 where we will have the shoe in 5 to 6 business days. Big shout out to Chris for making an exception by providing great customer service and making the shopping experience so much easier, thanks a lot as this experience will make me choose Finish Line over their competition. What is with these Finish Line stores?! The customer service is subpar, petty harassment about selling, no name tags of employees, and gives me a hard time on returns. I get why the Daly City one shut down because they were leaders of crappy customer service but this store is not too far behind either. Great customer service! Although we didn't purchase anything, I was real satisfied with the help my cousin and I have gotten. I came by yesterday afternoon with my cousin, her hoping to buy some Free Runs. This guy named Eddie was our sales associate for the time being. She was iffy on getting her regular shoe size or half a size bigger, because Free's do run pretty small. Eddie offered her the regular Free's and the Reflective Free's. I went in this past Saturday (9/15) and as usually it was kind of busy. I browsed around and found what I needed for my daughter. It has come to my realization that there were only two people working that day, but when I tell you they kicked butt, they f----ing did. They both somehow were able to accomodate EVERY customer in the store, bringing out more shoes boxes than they can physically handle, and making sure each and every person left with what they wanted. A friendly new employee greeted me and when I said I wanted a price adjustment he had to refer me to his manager who was helping somebody. The customer services here sucks, they don't want to do business. Every pair of shoes you ask, they tell you the display one is the last one. If you insist to try, they will only let you try with one shoe (the one on display). Then if you ask for the other one, you have to keep trying until they can't pretend they don't see you. This is a well-run store that you will enjoy purchasing athletic shoes from. In particular there is a nice guy named Jon that works here who is very friendly and has great customer service skills. I purchased my first pair of running shoes since 2008 from him tonight and was very happy with the process. One thing that I liked in particular was that Jon brought out a shoe that I wanted in a half a size too big and a half a size too small when they didn't have my particular size in stock. Unfortunately not many other stores do that. Another great thing about this Finish Line is that they have a lot of Nike shoes in all black and these shoes in an 11.5, as I have had a tough time finding this size consistently at other stores. My shoe shopping experience here could have turned out all bad. I like the Finish Line shoe selection. I had been helped by employee Jeff on a Sunday. He did a great job about helping me and the Mr. get our shoe sizes. I couldn't find my $20 coupon, and I could tell he wanted the sale. "Do you have the code in your email?" I knew I had it at home, and would be back the next day. I asked him what time he gets off the following day to ENSURE the shoes would be there. He said, "I get off at 3pm but your shoes will be HELD UNDER MY NAME." I asked his name specifically to test the accountability of his word. So I jam from work the very next day, ask the employee if my shoes are on hold. No where, nada, nothing on hold in the back for me. The gentlemen said"Yeah that's classic Jeff-he's like that." So I was about to be upset but luckily we found both shoes. HE NEVER PUT THEM ON HOLD. For reals, you have no idea I'm secretly testing Customer Service here? The super pinoy employee helping me not only found my 2 shoes-I bought 2 more! And was completely knowledgeable about shoes. I bought 4 total!! He saved the day! So Finish Line Manager and District Manager...kindly make sure your employees are about their word when stating they'll put shoes on hold because that would impact sales. read more
