My son on Feb. 6th 2026 at about 4:30am needed a tow as he ended up on the side of an on ramp (I do not say a ditch because it was not one). But he was about 10-15 feet from the side of the road. Called AAA and was set up with a tow truck company coming to his rescue (or so I thought). FLT took the response and well from there it was awful. First, took over an hour to get to him. Then once the driver got there he saw my sons ford fiesta (not much bigger than a matchbox car) and told him that he needed to use a "special equipment?" to get him out and that he needed to pay $642.01 before he could assist. I immediately called AAA and had someone on the phone along with my son and AAA received the update directly from my son. They advised at that time they couldn't do anything but that he could submit the bill back to AAA and they would "consider" if they would reimburse him. I needed my son out and safe, so I told him to pay it because we didn't know any better. My son took pictures of where he was and how the driver did not need to do anything special. FLT took advantage of my son and his need for assistance. And had I known better, I would have told him to tell the driver "no thank you" and just called another company to assist. But since we belong to AAA I figured we needed to do what was being instructed. Thank god AAA was on the phone when all this was happening. My son sent all the documentation to them and they refunded him fully! We have learned a big lesson!! I hope to never need this tow company again. Beware, they like to overcharge (probably because they saw a young kid and figured they could get away with it). So happy that AAA agreed!! read more

Customer service was nice and quick, I know they don't write the rules. i was charged 150 dollars for "special equipment towing", told it was standard for all cars to ensure no car was damaged. Okay, but then they had double parked my car, and I needed to get it out. Well, they towed the car out in front of me real quick, no special equipment needed. I have a video. How do I know that my car wasn't handled the same way? Does that car owner know that their car was handled that way? Will they be informed? I would like to inform them. If they are handling are cars like this, they shouldn't be charging us special equipment towing, should they? Will be following up in the proper routes. Make sure when you need a tow from a public road that you have the name of a good towing company in Dane County! If not the dispatcher is required to call "next on the list" and you DO NOT want it to be Finish Line Towing!! They charge $800 for a 16 mile tow. Double the norm and 3 times what the state of Wisconsin allows for towing of private property per trans code 319. Do your research and don't get ripped off by this company! read more

Called first thing at 8am and was told I was being charged for 2 days of storage even though I tried to get my car last night at 9pm and they weren't open or pickup until 8am. My car was impounded. Fine. My issues are that when I picked the car up, Johnny Van, the owner of Finish Line Towing WI, (flt-wi.com) said it hadn't been dragged at all. Clearly that is not the case. Immediately upon bringing my car home, I could tell the alignment was off (it was aligned in May, two months ago). While at Honda, the technician confirmed front caster was way off, which is the forward/backward positioning of the front wheels. Pretty consistent with dragging and mishandling a car. I called three times (once a day last week) to simply ask some questions and get some feedback on whether there was a process in place for situations like this. I hadn't asked for anything at this point beyond that. I got no response until emailing, then sending a follow up email two days later. The only responses I received were baselessly claiming my car was "fine," and advising he would not be responding further. Having my car taken and paying the fee are consequence enough, that doesn't give justification for property damage and you don't get to decide that it didn't happen, lol. read more

My mom called them for battery help for her car today, Wednesday of 4/5/23. A service person in a Nissan AAA mini van showed up and while my elderly mom was reasonably haggling about price, he blew up and started yelling at her very loudly. No service person or professional or really anyone has ever yelled at a member of my family like that. I was afraid for her safety. I started recording at the end whereupon he quickly left but not before insulting me and my mom. I have irreversible, untreatable, incurable obesity from the psychiatric drug abilify, which I was not warned about. I have religiously exercised and dieted all my life because I enjoy it and was a skinny athlete before the weight gain. This guy told us or me (I didn't even say a word to him) to stop eating out at Taco Bell, which is funny because neither I nor my mom eat out at Taco Bell and it's not expensive anyway. No apology from the company at all and no consequences I know of for this menace operating as a "professional," who brought this disturbance to the tranquility of my house and neighborhood and vulnerable mother. Therefore, I would recommend nobody go near this company. An update... I just had a call from the owner of the company who during the call blamed the issues on anyone other than his company. Then with a stern voice apologized and asked me to remove the reviews as they would affect his company. When I mentioned the style of which he opened the conversation was very arrogant he got mad at me and told me to buy a better car so I won't need towing. Car got towed and it was unfortunately this company. We found out around 3:30pm that the car was towed and called them immediately. The lady over the phone seemed to only care that they were closing soon and how much we owed them and therefore failed to inform us on which documents we needed. We went in the next day and asked to take care of the entire situation and the lady had an immediate attitude. She told us when we walked in that we are missing documents and then asked if we were the reason we weren't told. The lady at the front desk raised her voice consistently and truly has no idea how to be genuine to customers, especially when we are paying them over $300! My boyfriend and I are disappointed with this experience and don't recommend this business to anyone! **Edited: Seeing the owners response is very upsetting. Nearly all of their replies are blaming the customer for faults caused by their company! This a prime example of how they will treat you when you enter their office. Making only snarky comments and not treating customers fairly or nicely for simply showing up to take care of business. Absolutely awful service. Over 3 hours to wait for an emergency tow when my girlfriend's car died on an off ramp. Original wait time was 1 hour but they had to cancel the original dispatch and wait to send a new truck out just because we pushed the car to a side street less than 100 yards from the ramp! The woman who took our calls was unprofessional and became snippy with our frequent calls as we tried to figure out what was going on. She finally "explained" that the reason they had to cancel the original truck was because the "change in address of the pickup has to be approved by the roadside assistance program." My car was towed eventhough it was not illegally parked. Called to get info and let them know, my parking did not violate restrictions. The woman proceeded to be very rude and disrespectful. Instead of helping me understand the violations that were allegedly made, she continued to be unprofessional. I've dealt with many towing companies before and I've never experienced customer service this bad. Upon my arrival the lady continued to argue with me and told me the fee was 320$ plus $$ each day it was not retrieved. Reply to John F. Had my car keys stolen and could not move my car to a safe location. Called AAA and a guy named Keyon Johnson came a towed the car. Amazing guy that was helpful from start to finish, arrived on time, and towed the car quickly. Extremely friendly as well chatted with him the entire ride. At 9:40 AM they told me they would be at my car in 60-90 minutes. They then called me and hour later to say they would be at my car in 15 minutes and they never showed. When I called them they said they got busy but would have my car towed to the dealership by 4PM. At 5:30 I called and they never towed my car. This place is sketchy. I was parked overnight in a lot I wasn't supposed to (my bad but the signs are not super clear and friends had parked overnight in the same lot before). I got towed by Finish Line. After multiple conversations with the (pretty rude) woman running dispatch, I had to pay $295 in cash (how are cards not an option with that exorbitant pricing). The manager refused to speak to me on the phone. I also had to wait several hours to come pick it up but they charged me for a day of storage. Seems predatory to me. I was stranded today at House on the Rock in Spring Green Wisconsin and Xavier came to the rescue! NOTE: DO NOT USE ZIPCAR RENTAL SERVICES. driving our zipcar rental from Chicago to spring Green was a mistake as the lack of cell reception inhibited us from unlocking the vehicle. Thankfully, Xavier was able to come out from Madison to help us get into the car. Unfortunately, we still weren't able to get the car to start due to the electronic security system. Xavier attempted to jump start the car and even offered to give us a ride to town to get help. Such a kind and generous human during these trying times. Person taking the calls blamed my insurance for dropping or removing my request for help. I spoke with my insurance and that was not the case. No update, no courtesy call, nothing but excuses. Incident occurred On 7/19/2023 l( day of tow ) Initial attempt to pick up vehicle 7/20/2023 Day of pickup 7/21/2023 My car got towed due to a bad choice of my own however the staff has been utterly disrespectful towards me with both slandering me and posting details of the situation that led me to have my car towed publicly that I haven't been convicted of due to them being upset about a review that was not made by me( they very clearly ASSUMED it was)The friend that was assisting me was the one who spoke to the staff. I cannot control what comes out of someone else mouth nor should I be punished for it. The only point in time I interacted with staff was at pickup which at no point did I say or do anything disrespectful to the woman who released vehicle or the man who opened the gate. In addition to the slandering and posting of my situations personal legal details that I haven't even been convicted of which is highly unprofessional and disrespectful as hell, I was never offered a receipt. In the comment that the company directly posted in the review my friend made on google, the company specifically stated that " a receipt was offered but I didn't hear because I was too busy screaming over them " That's a bold face lie being as the other individual stayed in the car at time of pick up and never interacted with your staff at all that day, which cameras will prove . Not at any point , during the day of pickup or previous day did I yell or mistreat any of the staff I interacted with. Might want to get your facts straight before you slander people. Outside of the above mentioned complaints, Night of tow the gentleman who released my keys to my home for me stated he was able to look up what the total amount of vehicle release for me would be if picked up next day which was around 350. Due to us showing up late Thursday we had to wait till Friday, there is no way that it's 300 for 1 additional night which is probably because it was a scam which would make perfect sense as to why I was denied a receipt. read more

Got a flat on the way to work but was able to limp to the parking ramp. Called AAA at 7:30 AM and Finishline showed up at 7:40 and the spare was swapped on by 8 AM!! I had stupidly lost my car keys at a hotel in Madison. I called my husband to confess that I lost the keys but of course there was no way he could help. We live in Atlanta, Georgia. My truck stalled on interstate 90 I called finish line right after it stalled I was quoted $90.00 hookup $7.00 a mile tow was less than 10 miles I told them I was gonna check around for other options I decided to rent a u haul trailer and truck (I'm from MN) I went to get my truck off the interstate it was gone I tracked it down at finish line I called and the first thing the woman said to me was you have full coverage ins. Don't you. they told me $572.00 cash (trying to gouge the insurance company) I went to atm to get the money I was only able to withdraw $400.00 they said $572.00 cash I decided to drive the uhaul rental home to Minnesota the next day he messaged me saying the bill was $366.00 I was there the day before with $400.00 the guy is a chump !!!!! Why did the bill go from $572.00 on Sunday when I was there to 366.00 on Monday when I was back in Minnesota chump if yr rates have never changed the truck would have been picked up Sunday if you weren't playing games when yr ready to release my truck for 366.00 not a penny more I will pick it up .
