Unethical and Unempathetic Service My mother was recently involved in a car accident. Thankfully, no one was injured, but her vehicle sustained damage and she was understandably shaken. The officer at the scene assured us that her car would be towed to the address of her choice. I personally provided the tow driver with the correct destination and her phone number in case of any questions. I left the scene after confirming with the officer that he would relay the information to the tow company upon their arrival. Despite these clear instructions, Finish Line Towing took it upon themselves to tow her vehicle to their impound lot without any attempt to contact her or deliver the car to the agreed-upon location. When she called to locate her vehicle, she was told she would need to pay to have it released--even though it was the weekend and they wouldn't release it until the next business day, resulting in additional charges. This was not only a breach of trust but a blatant exploitation of someone already in a vulnerable state. Finish Line's actions were not just negligent--they were opportunistic. Their failure to follow basic instructions and communicate appropriately caused unnecessary stress and financial burden. I would strongly caution others against using this company. Too bad they don't have 0 stars because Johnny Van and his extortion ring, er, towing company, have earned a big 0. They show up 2 hours after they were called, the driver quotes me a rate of $125. I tell the driver not to pull into a soft spot to pull me out because I wouldn't pay for him to get towed if he got stuck, he goes ahead anyway and gets stuck. Second truck shows up 2 hours later, pulls him out, then while he is pulling me out, he stops the truck, shoves a cell phone in my face and says "pay $500 right now or I am leaving you here". So there I am, at 12am, 2 hours from home with a sick 10 year old in the car. I sign the screen telling the driver I am signing under duress and that this is basically extortion. I filed a dispute with my cc company and received a phone call from Johnny Van, the owner, who proceeded to scream and call me a "coc#sucker" and a few other words from the Business Professional's Handbook, after which I simply hung up. This weekend I had a flat tire on a rental van. It was kind of a nightmare scenario - as well as the middle of a REALLY stressful weekend - and I was in tears by the time the finish line van drove up. Which was only 10 minutes after I called AAA. Caleb - the Finish Line Guy - was amazing. He was calm - helped me find options that led to a solution. Was fast - but never rushed my decision....and when I pulled over to a safe place so he could try to fix the flat, he never complained that I had pulled into a spot that meant he had to lay in the middle of a puddle in the parking lot to attach the jack. He never mentioned it. I realized what I had done only when he was in the middle of fixing the tire and I realized his sweatshirt was wet on one side.... Sorry Caleb. He was professional, compassionate, kind and fixed the problem much faster than I had thought was possible. And on top of that his calm "can do" demeanor helped me to calm down. Finish Line Towing responded to my AAA Roadside request. I wasn't sure this driver could wheel lift and dolly my vehicle given the damage. As it turns out, Kiak, the driver could do crash towing for NASCAR. I'm telling you this guy had mad skills. I'm certainly no expert, but he may have used magic. My last tow driver left my vehicle taking up two parking stalls and crooked as a politician. When Finish Line Towing dropped my vehicle off, he left it exactly where I asked. He placed it preventing any further damage to the drive train, on my Jack stands, level, straight, wheels chocked, and secured. Five stars -- grade A service. My interactions with Finish Line Towing's dispatch operator were also prompt, pleasant, and courteous. Finish Line towed my vehicle in Madison to my dealership. The driver was exceptionally nice and helpful HOWEVER, the magnetic lights they used severely scratched my hood. Three repair estimates between $650 and $950! Finish Line REFUSED to accept responsibility! Beware of the businesses that do not take responsibility for their mistakes! Do not use this service unless you have a vehicle you do not care about. Owner called after I posted a Google review and offered to "buff out" the scratches that are through the paint. Also stated the driver claims the lights were placed on the roof (where there are zero scratches). And worst of all, tried to accuse me of trying to get his business to pay for damages he believes were pre-existing. read more

I got a Uhaul van stuck in the mud and Finish Line Towing took care of me. Megan was so empathetic on the phone and called back when she promised to. When Israel showed up, he was very professional and assessed the situation. He was able to pull me out in the rain and did so following all the safety regulations. I had called Prairie Land Towing and they were extremely rude to me and quoted me a price only an insane person would pay. I had to have my Ford F-150 towed to my local mechanic shop, and being a AAA member they set me up with Finish Line Towing which I have to say they are a class act for sure very professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate in my time of need. The care that the Dispatcher showed me, and then the professionalism of the Driver who ultimately towed my vehicle. I couldn't have asked for better service definitely A+++ service. I looked up tow operations in Dane county and Finish Line Towing came up. They seemed too have good reviews and nice clean trucks, so I decided to give them a call. From start too "finish" the entire experience was great! They answered right away, I spoke too a young man named John and he helped us along the entire process. We had our car towed from the east side of Madison over too his shop (they do repair work as well) and they fixed our alternator for a great price within the same day. Finish Line Towing really came through for me! Kyle and Nick were very professional and personable. I used AAA to get towing assistance and unfortunately, my service was mistakenly cancelled leaving me waiting for 2 1/2 hours in 87 degree temperature. After AAA figured out things on their end, they sent Finish Line my way. At that point, I was so discouraged but when Kyle shared they could be to me in 17 minutes, hope was restored. My car was attacked by a tie down hook! It embedded itself in my tire and wouldn't let go! I used my Toyota Care Roadside service and requested help. I waited over an hour and then called the first company for a eta; the phone rang 23 times with no answer or any voicemail opportunity. My car battery died and I contacted my roadside assistance for help. The first company that was supposed to come was unable to after I waited for 2 hours. The roadside assistance then reassigned my request to finish line towing. The technician then arrived within 30 minutes. It was late at night and I was tired, hungry and cold. Frankly, I was getting a little scared that no one was going to come help. The technician was kind and professional. He quickly jumped my vehicle so I could finally make it home. I have used them twice - once for a dead battery in the dead of winter and most recently for a car whose gas pedal wasn't working. in both cases the employees went above and beyond the call of duty. Jay (who came to my rescue tonight) was amazing, and not only maneuvered the car skillfully out of a complicated parking spot (without use of the gas pedal) but also diagnosed and solved my car's problem while loading it onto the truck. I got a flat tire today, in the midst a winter weather emergency. I anticipated a long wait, and was surprised at how quickly someone came out after calling Triple A. I know they were receiving lots of calls due to the driving conditions. My Car broke down Friday and they were able to assist with towing it. The tow guy was very polite and helpful and saved me a huge tow fee by calling the shop and the mechanic was able to get my car in Monday and fixed by Tuesday. They communicated with me and gave close estimates. It ended up being less than if I took it to my regular dealership.
