Senior community center within the Findley community center. Lots of opportunities for recreational activities including a comfortable lobby with a fireplace, comfy chairs and a self serve coffee bar.

SF Giants World Championship Trophy Tour - 1/10/2015!
    Christine R.

I have attended retirement parties here with live bands in "The Person Auditorium", which is the largest and most immaculate room. It accommodates any large size party, from wedding receptions to presentations. It's well equipped with a huge dance floor, lighting, awesome sound system, and a full service kitchen. The rates are reasonable with super-friendly staff. On this particular day, we came for the SF Giants World Championship Trophy Tour. All the community center staff were energetic and ready to take on a full day of unexpected visitors. They directed traffic into the parking lot smoothly and made announcements appropriately. Luckily, we arrived early enough with our seats and blankets to secure a spot near the front of the line - yay! Each announcement was made clearly advising visitors of the rules once inside the auditorium. Fans were reminded of the strict two-hour limit, as the trophies will be moving onto its next destination. This collaboration with the SF Giants organization and the community center was top-notch. Once the doors opened promptly, we were moving along quickly. Everyone was in good spirits. A small donation of $2 was requested inside the auditorium for the Junior Giants leagues of Northern California, it's all about the kids. Thank you to the City of Santa Rosa and SF Giants for bringing communities together near and far. This beats any Fanfest at AT&T Park, avoiding any possible stampede - ya feel me? Kudos to all the Bay Area fans for waking up at the crack of dawn to see the "Dynasty Tour" ~ Together We Are Giant!

Over the past 9 years, I've visited Finley for Levi's GranFondo and I'm always impressed at the ever-evolving, improving facility.

There's just something special about coming back to the same place year after year and making new memories. The campground is nestled among the oak woodlands above Spring Lake, and I love that you get that feeling of being away camping while still being right in Santa Rosa. Most of the campsites are spacious and they each have a picnic table, fire pit and lockable storage. There are restrooms, showers, potable water and an RV dump station available. One of the biggest reasons we keep coming back is how much there is to do. You can walk, hike or bike the beautiful trails around the park, fish in the lake, launch a kayak or paddleboard, or enjoy the swimming lagoon and its floating water playground, which is my stepson's favorite thing to do while camping. There's even the Environmental Discovery Center, which is such a fun educational experience for kids. I also love the convenience of being close to everything. If you forget something while camping, need groceries, or want to grab a meal, you're just a short drive from Santa Rosa. At the same time, once you're at the campground, it feels like you've escaped the everyday hustle. The campground also offers sleeping cabins, including an ADA-accessible cabin, which is a great option for people who want to enjoy the camping experience without sleeping in a tent. After five years of making this an annual tradition, Spring Lake has become more than just a campground for us--it's a place filled with memories. From sitting around the campfire and enjoying time together to exploring the lake and trails during the day, it's an easy place to fall in love with. If you're looking for a convenient, family-friendly campground with nature, recreation and plenty to do, I highly recommend Spring Lake Regional Park!

The Good: * Several parking lots, with the big one at the end of Channel Dr. * Over 45 miles of trails! * Visitor Center (check hours) * Tons of picnic benches along the trails (check map) * Trails are mostly shaded from what we saw, so this would be a great place to hike in the summer. * Mountain biking on certain trails (check map and trail signage) * Horseback riding on certain trails (check map and trail signage) * Dog-friendly trails (check signage) * No e-bikes * Fishing at the lakes (need permit) The Meh: * $8/vehicle fee that can either be collected via cash, or they actually have a QR Code to pay via your phone. * No camping The Ugly: * Unfortunately, we didn't have much time here as we barely squeezed in a short 2.5-mile hike. I wish this place was closer so we could explore it more, but there is always next time, Gadget! Next tiiiime!!! Conclusion: Fantastic state park with lots of great trails and something for everyone.

There are houses too along that path. Lots of space for one to walk comfortably at one's own pace. We usually do 3.0 miles back and forth at a quick pace and feel well worked out. Enough tree cover, so good to walk on a sunny day too.
