So great! We came for a late dinner after a long day of travel. Dan served us dinner at the bar and gave us tons of recommendations of what to do in the area. Great vibe and seems like a local community watering hole. The food was good too. Live music was a nice touch. Would definitely come back again!

Excellent experience all around! The food was cooked perfectly, the drinks are great too! Right now during the Christmas season, they are decorated with wreaths and right outside is Wall Street (the closed off road with the large decorated tree, Christmas music, Santa) What we ate: Guinness Pot Roast (Outstanding comfort dish, so tender, flavorful) Finnegan Burger (Juicy, thick, cooked perfectly) Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich (Crispy, seasoned nicely, chicken cooked just right) This is a small Irish pub, there's tables(small and large), and a bar to sit at as well. They have a large assortment of beers (we had Stella and Corona), and cocktails(I had the Hot Chocolate Martini, tasted like an adult Yoohoo). Service was excellent as well, everything came out quickly, and was cooked perfectly (even with a full house).

This was a stop as part of Huntington's Food Done it? Mystery tour. Included in the tour was a choice of crispy chicken sandwich, cheeseburger or hamburger. Each choice came with fries and onion rings. I went with the crispy chicken sandwich. It was very yummy. The batter was delish. There was also bacon on it. The bacon had great flavor. Fries seemed to lack seasoning. Very bland. Onion rings were just okay. My friends who were on the tour with me got burgers. They enjoyed them. Service was good. However, a lot of the beers that was listed as available....weren't available. They were out of a lot of beers that they were advertising.

This place is a hidden gem! Such a throw back in time, but still modern in exceptional service, food and cocktails! Dan the bartender and manager is fabulous at recommending and mixing satisfying cocktails and I'm so grateful how rigorously he upholds Covid safety! Everything is immaculate, distancing and masks are enforced and the outdoor patio is a quaint little refuge from the hustle and bustle of this crazy new world. The tater tots and burgers are amazing. Also, any of Dan's specialty drinks - fantastic! Love this place. Always good, always fun!

Had the best time sitting at the bar and playing trivia with Tom. A great irish pub and I'll be back next visit to LI.

Yes I like Finnegan's. We've eaten in the outdoor section twice and had great burgers and fries and ale on tap. A really nice place.

First off-the owners are so FRIENDLY and kind--you can talk to them about anything and they are happy to answer questions about any of the food and/or drinks. You can tell they love owning this place and meeting customers. I have heard so much about the Pub and went for the first time yesterday with two friends. We had one of their rotating cask beers and one of their bitter regular casks which is a staple of the establishment-each beer was delicious and tasty! I had the vegan curry dish which was very tasty with veggies, rice and great spice. My friends had a dish similar to Shepherd's Pie but slightly different and cooked with more like steak stewed meat rather than lamb and we all licked our plates clean LOL. We also shared two of the desserts which were vanilla ice cream with some type of coconut cookie in it and the other was vanilla ice cream with a yummy type of strawberry sauce I think. The atmosphere is so laid back as well-like traditional British Pubs you order your drinks and food at the bar and they deliver your food to your table with a number. You are able to sit wherever you would like and I hear it gets very packed for European football games. I can't wait until I get a chance to go again-there aren't a ton of food options being that I don't eat red meat-but I was able to find the curry and could also try the Fish and Chips which looked amazing and I have heard it is great. If you are in the area-stop by for a drink or two and you will not be disappointed-you feel like you are transported to England with these type of pub.

It was bright and sunny outside, but traditionally dark and well worn inside. You order at the bar and they bring everything to your table. Owners were very nice as you'd expect. I got their house bitter cask ale. Very good however please note this is close to room temperature than a typical cold beer; I personally love the style and this was a good example. My son doesn't understand that British people call fries chips, so we ended up having to get him French fries and potato chips. They luckily had the latter, even if they didn't have plain ones, so we got him ketchup-flavored chips that of course he proceeded to barely eat (they were actually good). He did like the French fries/British chips, and my wife liked her breakfast sandwich even if it was a bit heavy for her. My fish and chips were really freaking good. Sizable piece of fish (haddock), nice and crisp, with a ton of chips and lots of sauces (spicy mustard, vinegar, etc). Maybe not my favorite fish and chips ever, but it hit the spot. Would come back here in a heartbeat, especially where I could relax and drink a bit more. Completely understand why they are recognized as a top bar in the US.

Selling food and drink to take home in the front (along with a few seats for pints) and mostly drink in the back, I love a good grocer-pub and Moran's is one of those such places. Don't disappear, please don't! The pub pulls a fantastic pint of Guinness, likely because the keg is directly under the bar and the beer travels very little distance into your glass. It's really amazing how wonderful and different the Guinness is when it's fresh and poured correctly. The bartender when we visited was very generous with information about the area and entertained us with stories and chit-chat about local events and the economy. These are the moments you remember from a trip somewhere: a quality drink, a quiet bar wrought with history, a friendly local shooting the breeze. Simple connections and simple pleasures in life that sometimes get lost in the shuffle of busy days. The pub has done quite a bit to make itself marketable to football fans, with a large collection of team scarves and paraphernalia draped over the walls. Unfortunately I was not able to stay long enough to catch the vibe in there during a match. In short, a lovely stop, and probably the most worthwhile of them, during our stay in Westport.

Just functional. I was there on an NFL Sunday. There were lots of regulars. There was good interaction with the staff. I didn't catch her name, but the woman who was the only person working the bar and waiting on the tables was amazing. She was super friendly to everyone. She hustled to meet everyone's needs. It wouldn't surprise me if she is an owner too. It's hard to find people, who aren't owners, who are that committed. I asked for a wing flavor recommendation and she said "Montreal Honey" first. I ordered 6. The wings are part-baked and then finished in a fryer. Good inner and outer texture. The Montreal Seasoning was right on. The Honey didn't have much of a presence either visually or flavor-wise. More was needed to balance the salt from the Montreal Seasoning and to justify the Honey in the name. I tried both the Blue Cheese and the Ranch. I'd recommend the Blue Cheese. I'll definitely return to try more wing flavors. I also ordered a crock of chili, which was full of ground beef and topped with melted cheddar and chopped red onions. The chili was solid. I'd probably try something else before I ordered it again though. I'm a fan of Hideaway and I'll be back. 4.25 Stars
