I've been coming to Finnegan's Way ever since I was little boy because it's my dads favorite bar to watch his Buffalo Bills. Yes a bills fan in Miami, so that's where I got my team from! When I came back from College I decided to put in an application and worked a Maintenace job here for a few months. Still come here all the time with my pops to watch our bills, the staff is great, management is on top of their game. The owner and his family are some of the nicest most caring people you'll ever meet and overall just an amazing vibe if you like friendly people, good food, good service, and drinks. My favorite things on the menu are the Heat burger, The spinach dip, and blackened mahi sandwich. Their fries are surprisingly good as well. Every Sunday during football season they have a football pool where you can play for 20$ and have a chance to win a grand. This bar always has cool stuff going on and just are great people overall. This place hasn't changed a bit since I first reviewed it nearly 9 years ago. During the recent Pride Parade that took place on Ocean Drive, we came to Finnegan's Way to get beers in plastic cups for our group when there were longer breaks between parade floats. Staff were friendly as were the patrons, restrooms were clean, Coronas were $6 each. A "voluntary tip" of 18% is automatically included with the bill, but at the bottom it gives you a line to list an increased or decreased tip vs the voluntary one. read more

This review is for the spinach dip alone! My husband and I literally talk about this spinach dip all the time and it's our first stop every year when we visit Miami. We order spinach dip at every restaurant we visit here in San Francisco in hopes we can find a close second to the spinach dip at Finnegan's and the closest we've found is a Friday's which is not as amazing but doable. The staff is friendly and the other items we've ordered are legit American food but nothing stands out like the spinach dip. The strawberry daiquiri was really good too! The perfect sweet and buzz! Was on my way to the Cigar event for SOBE and got to the beach a little early and the hunger was real lollol.. I decided to have a quick meal before going in with my boyfriend. I ordered the coconut shrimp and he ordered the tomato basil pizza. Both dishes were delicious. They have inside and outside dinning with TV's everywhere so it was nice that we got to watch the Heat game. The wait was about 20 minutes and the server was very nice and attentive. Both meals were about $14.00 and $9.99 not pricey at all. They have a nearby garage that they charge a $1.00 an hour. Overall a nice experince right in the heart of South Beach on Ocean Drive. B) I've been TOLD more than once, without warning, to leave my seat for a bigger party....despite how long I've been at my table and how much money I've spent. For example, if you have 2 people sitting at a 4 top, you will be TOLD to leave for 3 or 4 new guests. It's an Irish bar with food. Nothing fancy. Not a restaurant. Just a lack of respect and greedy ass owners. C) It's an Irish bar, so order Irish food. Anything different, like a steak or pasta, you're sh*t out of luck. The manager is a thief and should be fired. My group ordered three Bloody Mary's at a cost of nearly $50.00. The drinks weren't just bad, it was clear from the taste that the Bloody Mary mix had gone rotten. As a person who used to run a restaurant I know what soured bar mix tastes like. So of course we sent them back and just asked for some bottled beer. The manager then comes out, refuses to serve us anything and won't return our money. He just kept yelling "Have a nice day" and telling everyone at the restaurant that he was refusing to serve us. He stole our money and refused to serve us. Avoid this place, I'm certain the restaurant is run by a felon that serves rotten drinks and is going to get people seriously ill. We plan to call the health department. Glad Finnegan's was still here for our annual trip to South Beach! There are so many trendy & pretentious bars & restaurants along Ocean Drive, it's nice to find a good old sports bar with a fun & casual atmosphere to hang out for a few hours. (We actually made 2 visits here in 1 day. We went at lunch time to cheer on the Gators in the Peach Bowl game, and when we saw they would be showing UFC fights later that night; we came back around 10:30 pm for a few more drinks.). They have a full bar, a full menu, and indoor and outdoor seating. (Outdoor along Ocean Drive is a great place to people watch.). On our first visit we sat at the bar and ordered a bucket of domestic beer for $25, and a spinach dip to share while we were drinking. The dip was really good, but the tri-color chips were a little stale. All of the bartenders were friendly & we enjoyed the conversations with the other patrons we met at the bar. (The Orange Bowl game is local and was about to begin so there were many fans there representing different college teams.). At night it was packed again, but we managed to get a table with good views of the UFC fights on many, many screens. (I was surprised that not only was there no cover....in South Beach I might add, but also there was pretty good service and no big push to order food & drinks.).
