I'm going to start off by saying this wasn't my first visit to BG as we call it in my house but I've never done a proper review so here we go..... Let's start off that this place a MUST STOP spot no matter where you live or visiting on Long Island (It's that good!). The parking lot is small and usually jammed packed but moves quickly. Inside there is a nice sitting area, large beverage area, reach in fridge with a large variety of beverages and pretty stacked chips rack. Once you get to the counter you first pass a very stocked salad bar, then a hot food area, and then a full display of cream cheeses, salads, and deli meats & cheeses (impressive). Once at the order counter you're greeted with a warm "how can I help you" while the hustle by the staff behind the counter is in full effect. While you wait for your order there is a lot of To-Go goodies to go through and add to your order and it's hard not to. I've always said you get what you pay for and here at BG you definitely get every cents worth. The food is delicious and worth the travel and $$. Side not one of the BEST chicken salads I've ever had, my son loves the BEC, and my wife says the specialty cream cheese (cucumber dill) is to die for! When you order here, it really depends on who you get. Sometimes you'll catch someone having a rough day and they take it out on you, and other times you get someone who's genuinely nice and pleasant. My go-to bagels are the cinnamon, blueberry, and plain, and I always grab either the strawberry or blueberry cream cheese. They've got a solid variety of teas, lemonades, and juices too. They were even open on Thanksgiving, which was a really nice surprise. Plus, it's close to the house, so I can just walk over always a bonus. read more

Awesome spot, driven thru here for many years and finally stopped for lunch, nice cafe with a good vibe, always busy, this is good because it kinda insures the freshness of the food, the staff was friendly and helpful and although I only had the BLT, it tasted good and fresh. There's plenty of seating available, on the down side, I, and other customers had to clean the tables to be able to eat. Will definitely return soon. read more

I've been coming here for so many years, and I have never been disappointed. Yes, it is always busy, but, that should tell you something! I recommend the tuna melt on the bacon egg and cheese bagel. Yes, an egg bagel with bacon and cheese baked right in it! Btw, this is a large building with a decent amount of seating, and parking. If the lot is full, we usually park down the block, worth it! There is an employee, Howie K. that I have to praise. I dmed BG, but the world needs to know!!! I bring special needs adults into the community, and we had him helping us. The young man I brought has trouble ordering and making decisions, Howie was extremely patient and helpful (talked slower and didn't give him too many questions at once, and made the choices clear and easy to make, plus he talked directly to him, instead of asking me everything). I'm visiting the area and heard this place had good gluten free bagels. This was the most bagel gf bagel I've ever had. It tasted like a real gluten-full bagel and had the perfect consistency that you don't often find in a gf bagel. They had several options like sesame, plain, and everything. Hours later and I don't feel sick and haven't experienced any cross contamination symptoms. My friend got a regular bagel and we had to remind them not to mix them in the bag, but that's no big deal, it was busy. Also, I'm a HUGE whitefish fan. It was AMAZING from here. I absolutely love this breakfast here! The bagels are always so soft and delicious, they never mess my order up which because I like my eggs a particular way. The staff are friendly, and if I still lived close enough, I'd be there often.
