We showed up on a Sunday evening around 6:00pm without a reservation. The sunset was gorgeous and Fins was packed! There was at least a 2 hour wait for a table. We lucked out and got a seat at the bar. We ordered sushi, some cocktails, and finished with dessert. Let me tell you, it was an amazing experience! Our server Lindsay was awesome!! Make sure you ask for her. She went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly, and her bartending skills surpass most! 4 of us for dinner, date night! We started with two orders of the stone crab and the oysters Rockefeller appetizers. Both were delightful! We had two 20 year-olds with us and they ordered from the Mocktail menu. My daughter found her cucumber lemonade to be quite refreshing. Her boyfriend noted a little aftertaste that he did not care for in his passionfruit limeade. My husband and I shared a bottle of the Saint Supery Dollarhide Cabernet. We noted that it was the 2015 on the menu but the 2016 that was presented to the table. Once poured into the decanter, the bottle was removed from the table. My daughter ordered two sushi rolls and I think that they were the superstars of the table! She got a surf and turf roll and a crab Rangoon roll. Phenomenal sushi. The rest of us ordered various steaks and found them to be just OK. Lesson learned. You're at FINS, order the seafood! We will go back again for sure. But we won't order the steaks. Absolutely amazing meal, service, view, and overall experience. It's our first time here and everything was perfect. There was a 20 minute wait, but that was fine since we were able to hang out on the front patio area with comfy chairs and that amazing gulf view. They will serve cocktails and apps in that area as well. I loved my Seafoam Margarita - it was so unique, light, and delicious. The Tuna was amazing and I could have just eaten that as my entire meal. There were 4 of us so we split that, the PorterHouse for 2 which was perfectly cooked at medium rare, and the calamari. I love the apple mango pizza. It's like a breakfast meal but suitable anytime. All the food is really good. They have a bar with a large variety of drinks. Seating inside or out. Overall, we booked our reservations for the sunset view. Unfortunately, are tables view was blocked by palm trees . To our surprise the food and service was excellent. Our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful. The food was a little over priced, but what do you expect with beach inflation. My wife and I went on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my birthday. We called ahead for reservations (always a good idea as they can get packed). We were seated next to the indoor windows which is our preference but, we were a little too close to the noisy kitchen so we asked to be moved to a booth and they were kind enough to, not only move us, but all of our food, drinks, etc. I ordered Steak Tartare, my favorite. Never disappoints. Wife got Oysters Rockefeller, her favorite. This is one our best go-to upscale restaurants and this one was every bit as good as always. Highly recommend eating there. read more

4.5 stars! My family loves coming to Fins at Sharky's! It's always a fun time coming here with family and friends and taking in the sunsets. I wish the menu had a few more vegetarian options (there's only one entree and it's the vegetable cavatappi). I haven't tried it yet but would like to next time I go. We always order the calamari for an appetizer. The sushi is pretty good. It always looks so beautiful when it comes out. It can take some time to make when they are busy, so I'd recommend ordering it first! I'd also recommend starting with two rolls because they're quite big. I've overdone it twice now and regretted it. Whoops! I like their cocktails. I went with the strawberry cosmo and was definitely feeling 'em after just 2! Their desserts are for sharing! Huge! The strawberry cream puff is the size of Texas y'all! Pricing is on the higher side in my opinion. Sharky's downstairs is more casual with a different menu (burgers, pastas, nachos, salads, rice bowls and other favorites). I think their pricing is still on the higher end though. You're probably paying a little extra for the beautiful views. Of course with the restaurant being on the beach, parking can be a hassle. They offer valet. Absolutely stunning view while eating each bite of food. We arrived when the restaurant just opened at 11am and the restaurant got filled up very quickly. Reservations would be a good idea especially if you'd like a seat overlooking the sand, water and the pier in the background. When you're yearning for a lite lunch with great scenery and you're not in a hurry, then this is the place for you. Valet Parking available if many beach goers are using the parking lots.
