Challah bread pudding. Table "liked" it
    Nicole R.

I just ordered the beet and arugula salad and added goat cheese. I asked for warm chicken / it was luke warm and dry, it was obviously sitting around for awhile. When I mentioned it they replaced it. It was moist warm and fresh. I just about finished my salad as it took so long but it was fine Our friend ordered a prime rib said it was delish. He didn't leave a bit on the plate Everyone liked their food The atmosphere is beautiful I personally had a hard time ordering as I do not eat beef or pork which is why salad was my go to

Took my partner for Mother's day dinner. My review is on a shorten menu on a very busy day. We had the roasted duck and filet mignon. Server was attentive and kind. The atmosphere was very welcoming. The food was good, safe , presented well. We will go back to try the main menu. Like I mentioned it would be unfair to judge the food by this day. If I would , there isn't much to remember. I do wish they were opened later.

Beautiful sunny day for our later lunch reservation at Villani & Co Wellen Park Steak Seafood Raw Bar. Located a block from the waterway and is centrally located in the Wellen Park plaza. They show pride with the finest and freshest seafood and best quality steaks available. They offer delicious and artistically stunning culinary experience along with the best customer service! One of the most exceptional restaurants in the area. Our waiter Stu welcomed us right in on a cloud of sofistication and his service was classy. And can we mention some of the food? Yes....I would suggest for starters, the grouper bites, fried calamari, and the Mussels in a Thai coconut curry...so so tasty! Then, the grilled top sirloin with fingerling potatoes and wilted spinach, blackend grouper tomato lettuce sandwich on a gluten free bun, and grilled Faroe Island Salmon over spinach and cannellini. We were given a birthday dessert when we finished. Oh, and you've gotta try one of the best Key lime pie in a jar.....so so good! I would go back!

First time at VILLANI & Co. looking for a place for a celebration dinner where we could get a nice steak and some fresh New England raw oyster (hard to find in Florida!) great service and great dinner! Pricey but worth it!

The bottle aesthetic at the bar is great.

Villani & Co. has easily become one of our go-to spots when we're downtown Welland Park. We love the atmosphere, it's trendy, open and perfectly sized for a cozy experience (plus there's outside seating as well). The food is good. The portions are nice and priced to what you expect to pay when you're at a steak and seafood restaurant. The service is always over the top and everyone is professional and friendly. My only gripe is when I've ordered drinks from the bar. The pours aren't as heavy as I wish they'd be. At times I feel like I'm paying $16 for a cocktail of juice. Each bartender makes the same drink, but with a different measure of ingredients and that makes them inconsistent. If I order a certain cocktail, I'm expecting it to taste the same way as the time before. That wont stop us from coming back.

    Caesar Salad w/ grouper bites

First time visiting Villani's. We didn't have reservations and were actually planning on visiting one of the other restaurants here in Wellen Park. But we hadn't been here before so decided to walk in. As I said they require reservations even though there were plenty of empty tables that obviously must have been reserved. We were going to move on when the hostess got us a table. Place is nicely decorated inside and very roomy. Bar was fully stocked and had quite the selection of whisky and bourbon. After ordering a Mich Ultra for me and a Negroni for my wife we decided on an appetizer of Oysters Rockefeller that were quite tasty. Entrees consisted of a Caesar salad with grouper bites that my wife loved and the baked haddock with a buttery drizzle that really hit the spot. Waitress was very courteous and checked on us often to see if everything was good and if we needed anything. Overall we enjoyed our meals and would definitely come back.

    Brunch Time.... Very good

First time having Brunch here and it was awesome, it was very quiet and the service was good. The two items we had tasted amazing and fresh.

    Snapper, fingerling potatoes and broccoli

We had made a reservation for outside dining, so we were so glad that with all the rain that day they easily moved us inside. Would have been great to sit outside, but the inside had a nice cozy but modern feel and it was nice the tables weren't too crammed together and crowded. I really liked their menu. What was unique about it was a listing of seafoods, a listing of other cuts of meats, and a listing of sauces. You could create your on entrée from those options in addition to choosing two sides. I loved the customization of it. I ended up choosing the snapper with lemon dill tartar sauce with fingerling potatoes and broccoli. It was all really good, but surprisingly the snapper was a bit overcooked in my opinion. It had some drier spots especially on the ends where it was thinner. The sides were the standouts for me - both cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. You could tell they were prepared with intention and not just a quick job thrown on the plate. I personally really appreciated that! I'm thankful our server was very accommodating and helpful when I had questions re: gluten free options. They don't have a special gluten free menu, but she was very thorough in explaining what I could have and even checked on some things with the chefs for me. It meant a lot she went out of her way on some things too that I hadn't even asked about. I will certainly be returning!

    Fried greens Caprese style. Perfect!

Tried this place on a whim. Not a fan of manufactured Town Centers but Wellen Park is actually attractive. Expected the San Destin style, pricey yet frozen 'fresh' experience. I was totally wrong! Service from seating, to bussing to my waiter, Dylan were on it. Dylan took his time with me & explained the dishes accurately. Everyone seems to be on the same team and obviously well-trained. Sent a pic of the seasonal Oyster menu to wifey to make her jealous. I opted for the outrageously low priced premium Dinner for Two special. I am down for two weeks & I wanted left overs for my work trip. I started with the Fried Green Tomatoes with balsamic, italian style. Ate all 6! For dinner(s), I got 6 large scallops and fingerling taters, and, the Grilled Grouper. Both were large portions, came with two premium sides, and tasted and smelled fresh. I finished the scallops, broccoli and grilled asparagus as left overs. Still good. Tonight, it will be the Grouper. Oh, the Dinner special comes with either a red or white wine (which is Lagniappe at this point) and your choice of dessert! Took the delightful Italian organic Pinot Grigio home unopened, & gave my dessert to the busboy. I hope my experience is typical, as I cannot wait to bring wife here for her Oyster fix, and me for Grouper again. Oh, and the Grigio, Alverdi!

Kind of annoying that they do not take reservations, but we were able to get a seat relatively quickly. I cannot express enough, how great the food was. I don't wanna bash the other steak place, but it ended up being in a strip mall and wasn't great. This entire meal was amazing. We got the escargot appetizer. Exceptional. Tableside Caesar salad, 10 out of 10. They had plenty of steak options. They had a New York strip special. I ended up getting the bone in ribeye, which was dynamite. I recommend the truffle butter. The ambience was somewhat old-school vibe with new school vibe in-house dining. if you were someone who struggles with loud environments if you're hearing aids, this place will be an issue. It was very loud in the restaurant. Tables were close also.

June 2, 2026 - Two for Dinner, our 36th wedding anniversary. (we had last been here a year ago for…read morethe same occasion.) First up - PARKING was awesome!!! we parked in their lot and had plenty of choices. yay. Second - When I had made a reservation for our special occasion I was asked "Inside or Outside" which I picked Inside. I was then ASKED "window table?" to which I happily confirmed yes that would be great. I then confirmed to my wife. 6PM, Inside, & Window seating. When I arrived I was quizzed if I had a reservation. Yes. Then I was asked did i want to dine Inside or Outside and I replied I had confirmed an Inside, window reservation. And he brought us to our inside aisle non-window table. When I asked why not a window as I confirmed - I was informed they only give them out when they are available and he can't guarantee it? I then asked "Why do you ask then when the reservation is made?" He just walked away. Probably not a good candidate for a public or customer facing role. As others have stated (and I in my first review) the staff and server experience here is highly variable. 1/10 Third - Our server was excellent and gregarious. we were seated well over 5 minutes until we able to tender a drink order, but then everything went very smoothly. The bus staff seems "nervous" and inexperienced, I had to ask twice for more water. The bread and butter was a little disappointing. one of the rolls was ok, the other either old, stale or did not sustain the heating process very well - inedible. There were two flatbread crackers in the basket as well. 3/10 Fourth - We both got a cup of seafood bisque soup. This was a smooth and flavorful soup. Chunks of seafood of various types and a little shot of sherry on the side to pour on. (my 10 year AA medal pushed it away - smile) 9/10 My wife ordered a Pompano special with scallops and the chef special vegetables and green beans. This was very substantive entree and she did bring half of it home. The fish was nicely prepared and properly cooked, the vegetables were cooked al dente and not just something on the plate - good job. The green beans so nice as a vegetarian / vegan plant based eater I am going to order them as my entree! 9/10 I ordered a shrimp cocktail as part of my main. I haven't had shrimp in a few years, and these were fairly decent. the cocktail sauce was disappointing as I am a Kelchner's horseradish and Heinz Chili Sauce kind of guy.... pink from the 50/50 mixture. The sauce here was a restaurant pack can of catsup and a splash of tabasco. yech. 5/10 Also as my main an Arugula Salad with Roasted Beets, NO goat cheese, Almonds, Honey-Citrus Vinaigrette, Raspberry Coulis. A VERY nice salad with an extremely fresh and beautiful collection of arugula lettuce, and the roasted yellow and purple beets were nicely cooked and prepared. The dressing was light and tasty and not some gloppy oil slick of goo. 10/10 Finally, our server brought us out a little keylime pie to commemorate our occasion, we were actually pretty full from the dinner and declined dessert but she brought this out and we took a few pictures!!! VERY nice touch!!! Thank you. I think the kitchen has improved over the last three reviews and last three or so years. The reservation and front desk and the service is variable and inconsistent, still. The communications and reservation situation is flawed - a reservation is between two parties - if we agree on something the expectation is we BOTH deliver (I arrive on time and pay, and the establishment seats and accommodates as per the expectation) Both should expect what was agreed to? Obviously this is all personnel and seasonally dependent here in Venice, FL, now that we enter the slow and less tourist oriented I think the employees and the patrons will be less wired and unpredictable. My wife and I have discussed a mid summer visit to the Crow's Nest - maybe for my birthday in August?
