Hours of operation are misleading, I went in at 6:40pm and they said they don't take any clients past 6:40pm, yet their hours online and at the store say they close at 7pm. I will NEVER come back here. I came for my first time today after having grown my eyebrows out for months. I specifically asked for a clean up and to keep them thick. She reduced my eyebrows by nearly half the size they were before and made one of them much shorter than the other. She also made them a weird shape. If I could give this place minus 100 stars I would. I've been coming here since they opened to do my eyebrows but I decided to wax my face here yesterday since I have a wedding TODAY and vacation in a couple of days. Mind you I've waxed my face before. As soon as she peeled the strip off I told her it really burned and asked if I was bleeding she said no and showed me. She did state that she messed up on waxing that piece since you're technically not supposed to but she didn't think much of it. They charged me for everything but that part. As soon as I got home I washed my face because it felt irritated and applied ice and aloe vera on it in hopes it would get better but the more I looked at it in the mirror as I was driving to work the worse it got in the ten minutes it took me to get there my face was swollen and the burn on my cheek had blood. I called them immediately to tell let them know and the girl said it was ok just to put aloe, I told her I obviously had and she replied with "maybe you're just not doing it right". I take care of my face I know how to apply aloe, especially if I have something burning through. I went in a few minutes ago to show them what they had done to my face and all they kept saying was "it's ok you'll be fine" completely unbothered while I'm over here crying my eyeballs out since last night. Now I can't go to the wedding today, work tomorrow and there will be no pictures of me on vacation. Whilst everyone looks at me and asks what in the hell happened to my face!? They also said they can't be responsible all they say is sorry sorry sorry!! Sorry doesn't bring the skin on my face back. They said its not their fault my skin is sensitive, so if you have sensitive skin... don't come here they will NOT take any responsibility for any damage caused. read more

This is my first and unfortunately my last time here. I was in DIRE need of eyebrow threading and was on my way home from work, found the nearest places with high reviews and landed here. After about a 20 minute wait on a Tuesday around 3:30pm, I landed in the second chair from the front door. After she was done, she handed me the mirror waiting for me to critique the hell outta her work. Instead I asked, does this look ok? As a professional, she should be able to see my left was slightly higher than my right without me pointing it out. Instead of fixing it, she just nodded her head. So did I. I got the hell outta there. I might've said something if I wasn't almost timed out at the meter but maybe not. It's not a big deal, I'll pluck my left side down to match my right. Awesome service, I came here for the first time today because my civil ceremony is on Monday. My fiancé came nearby to fix his car and while we were waiting I told him to come with me, I Yelped some places but ai decided to come here, we walked for almost 20 mins but it was completely worth it...!!! The girls are very nice, friendly and professional, the place is very neat and organized...!! I did my eyebrows, my upper lip and my sideburn and paid $20 with the tip included...!! which is super affordable!! Even though it was my first time doing my upper lip and sideburns it was not too painful and the girl was always asking if I was okay.. so sweet...!!! This used to be my favorite spot but since Niru left today's visit will most likely be my last. I've tried one of the newer girls on my recent visit but this one girl (not sure her name but she's been there over a year) can't seem to get it right. My eyebrows look crazy and uneven. I don't expect each eyebrow to be identical but if one is arched the other shouldn't be straight. In an effort to correct the straight eyebrow she took off too much hair leaving me with super thin eyebrows. Now back to the drawing board of growing out my eyebrows to start completely over. The lady used a thin thread so I feel like it hurt less than my previous experience at another place. The place is simple and clean. Only street parking. They did make my brows a little thinner than I would like. And none of the staff knew how to work the discounts listed on the yelp site. I have gone to many different threading salons as well as waxing, and Fiona's is definitely the best. Niru has also worked wonders on my eyebrows, I had very thin eyebrows when i started going to her, mainly because most places will thin them out to "clean them up" but she will clean them up but only enough to re-shape them. Niru at Fiona's in Boyle Heights is THE best! I'd been trying to grow my brows out for quite a bit, but every time they got to a decent width, my eyebrow lady would "clean" too much! But Niru is amazing at seeing the bigger picture and potential in your brows so she allows time and space for growth while also shaping them to complement your face structure. I've been so happy with her work, mine are growing so nicely! Also, I believe they use a thinner thread then other places because the process isn't as painful as I've experienced with other salons. This is my hidden gem for eyebrow threading. Minimal wait time, skilled threaders and the price is cheap. Most of the time I can find street parking and the meters are cheap too. I don't know any of the threader's names but they all do a great job. You have to pay 50 cents to use your credit card, but the system lets you add in a tip to the charge. Great spot! read more
