Their pricing and their services need improvement.. I've been coming here since they were across the street at the other location, since I was 19... And they were questionable back then but we didn't have many options as teens in Lincoln heights... Well things have been a roller coaster for them... While they were keeping the ladies of Lincoln heights fairly happy bc they were considered better then the only two other nails spots around they have never been spectacular.. & ATM I can't remember pricing but fast forward now and it's a rip off... I keep coming here bc it's close and was still the only spot I could get a Pedi for 40 dollars but I just went in this weekend for the simplest French tip gel x and a Pedi & I paid 170... No tip bc I honestly couldn't afford it... I didn't ask for pricing before because I come here all the time and I was getting a simple French tip... Long story short she charged me 20 dollars for a cat eye French tip... This girl that wears the hat has already been a problem in the past.. the first time I got her I had to have my nails finished off by someone else bc of the execution... & Honestly they didn't even really fix them... I made sure not to get here again .. this last time I went which was a month ago I got cat eye gel x with regular french tip & some charms & a Pedi and I paid about 140... This time I went in no charms and she charged me a total of 95 dollars for my gel x french tip .. cat eye polish... I was so upset bc I let them sit me with her even tho I didn't want to.. I felt bad.. I thought I should give her a chance but she didn't understand anything I said.. & I dont feel that it was bc of a language barrier bc other things she understood.. she always seems to be in a bad mood and I just can't believe that they did this.... I swear I will never go back here again... Am going to look for a new better place .. they only have the same 12 cat eys shades too which is so annoying bc I end up getting the same color every time ... Some nail techs will even tell me they can only do one coat for cat eye?! And the lady that does my toes never uses the magnet read more

This review is specifically for Jenny, not the salon overall. I've always had great experiences here for nails--Steven, in particular, consistently does an amazing job. I've also heard great things about the other technicians, which is why I was surprised and disappointed by the pedicure I received from Jenny. The pedicure felt extremely rushed. Jenny finished in about 20 minutes, which was noticeably quicker than any pedicure I've ever had. Unfortunately, the quality reflected that. She did not properly clean the sides or underneath my toenails, and there was visible dirt left behind. She had already begun applying the clear coat when I stopped her to point this out. I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for a place I genuinely enjoy, but the pedicure service I received was below standard. I'm sharing this so others can be mindful when choosing a pedicure technician. read more

Been coming here for years, and it quickly depleted in customer service. Took my 10 year old niece and her friend for a cute little girl date. Both very excited, but for some reason the personal all had a hissy fit when it came down to a minor request. The girls wanted each other's initials on one nail, and this became a huge problem since I refused to get them gel polish. Therefore the personal threw a hissy fit talking amongst themselves instead in me in attempts to find a solution. So I had a great experience here at the time but I am now dealing with an infected nail and it's so bad.

good nail salon, front desk ladies are always pleasant and it's a nice place. not telling anyone to turn away. they deserve good business. they work hard. however, this is the first time EVER that i genuinely feel the need to write an iffy review. i am just genuinely so disappointed, bothered, and uncomfortable. i am not a bad customer ever and never rude. i don't complain, i respect all types of service workers and always make sure to make them feel appreciated if anything and tip well! this visit i got cut with the drill multiple times and filed too strong by the hand file during shaping, it burned so bad and was aggressive during those moments. now i just have cuts by my nails and they burn. i understand a slip up happens but, i was genuinely tense in my seat and it no longer felt like my relaxing day off work. first time getting my nails done in a while and i dont plan on coming back. it sucks that i had to pay for this and will have to be looking down at this set just remembering this experience. i used to love it here :( attached pictures: all pics are pointing out where my entire nail was filed off. you can tell where the skin of my nail begins and where the nail should begin too. atleast that's where it did before shaping. i am totally aware of my small nail beds but i asked for square and some of these nails started to look pinched in and coffin like. he said he just followed my natural nail shape and i respect that argument if it were true! but no, you can clearly see where the whole missing part of my nail is. its legit like that for almost every goddamn nail. for the square i wanted, there was no need to file those side parts that damn much! it's just outrageous. now they are just stubby, coffin like, and my nails hurt to touch just slightly. i hate having to fix them at home because what did i pay for?!???? im just so mad!! added in what i asked for. read more

After striking out at my usual nail spot and finding my second choice fully booked, I called around Lincoln Heights while running errands. That's how I ended up at Titop Nails. They had immediate availability and a parking lot (accessible from Johnston Street) -- a rare perk in this area. Check-in was smooth, and for a moment, I thought I'd found a hidden gem. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill fast. I was clear from the start: I only wanted a simple manicure. No gel, no polish -- just a basic clean-up and file. I hadn't even sat down before a nail tech was already trying to upsell me. I politely declined. Still, I thought, "What could go wrong with a basic manicure?" A lot. While the salon itself is spacious, the vibe feels outdated. Before I could take it all in, I was whisked away to a station. I kindly asked my technician not to cut my already short nails -- just file them. Easy enough, right? Here's where it went sideways: the cuticle work -- or lack thereof. A few squirts of remover, a light skim with the cuticle pusher (zero effort), and I was shocked to see her skip over the most basic step: pushing back my cuticles. I don't know if it's because I'm a man, but it felt like she figured she could get away with rushing through it. The only part she couldn't fake was the cuticle nipping -- and to her credit, that part was done decently. Next thing I know, she's already applying oil and hand cream. I hadn't even asked her to round out my nails yet! I work with my hands and need the sides smooth -- a quick request she fulfilled right before declaring we were done. The entire manicure felt like it was over before it started. No detail, no care, just rushed and robotic. I walked in hoping to try out their waxing services, too, but after that blink-of-an-eye service, I didn't feel confident enough to stay. Checkout was just as frustrating. For a salon that uses a digital check-in system, you'd think they'd accept modern payment methods, right? Wrong. Cash or Zelle only -- and conveniently, there's an ATM in the reception area (how nice for them). In 2025, this setup just doesn't cut it. Sadly, this might be the worst manicure I've ever had. And now here I am -- at home, doing what my tech didn't: properly pushing back my cuticles. read more
