Kitty especially is amazing -- she absolutely kills it with Gel-X nails and nail designs. Everyone at the salon is so patient and attentive. I decided to give Chic Nails another try since I hadn't been there in a while and happened to be down the street. Before going, I called and asked how much a pedicure was. The lady told me $40, so I asked if I could come in and she said yes. I arrived about 10 minutes later, and honestly, I probably should've taken the lack of customers as a red flag. There was only one other customer there and three employees. Two employees were working on the other customer, and one was available for me. I waited about 7-8 minutes before being seated. The woman doing my pedicure asked me what color I wanted. I pointed to the color, and she told me, "Sorry, I can't see anything. My eyes." At that point, I immediately thought, Oh boy, I already know how this is going to go. But I tried to stay positive and hoped the service would still be okay. Everything seemed fine at first, but once she started working on my cuticles and filing my nails, things went downhill. She was extremely clumsy and wasn't careful with my feet at all. She kept positioning my feet awkwardly and filing very aggressively. She actually filed my skin until I started bleeding. I repeatedly said "ouch" and pulled my foot back because it hurt. She would ask, "It hurt?" and I would tell her yes, but it continued happening. By the time she moved on to my second foot, I was already nervous because of what happened with the first one. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again. She used the drill around my cuticles at a very high speed and it was extremely painful. I kept pulling my foot back and told her again that it hurt, but she didn't slow down. Then something happened that I have NEVER experienced during a pedicure. She started pulling at the hair on my toes and then proceeded to cut the skin on the top of my toe near the knuckle. I immediately said, "Ouch, what are you doing?" She told me she was "taking off the skin." I told her no and pulled my foot back. She had made me bleed, so she sprayed alcohol on it and put a cotton pad over the area to stop the bleeding. At this point, my toes were burning and I was extremely uncomfortable, but I just wanted the service to be over. She then started painting my toes. She was missing the sides of my nails, so I had to keep angling my feet so she could see where she was painting. She applied three coats of gel, but she was barely getting any product out of the bottle each time, so the polish still looked somewhat see-through. She eventually added another coat. After applying cuticle oil, she told me to wait and walked away. I thought, Finally, the painful part is over and now I'll at least get my massage and hot towels. Nope. Another employee came over and told me, "You can leave, you're done." I was honestly confused because I thought I was still supposed to receive the massage and hot towels that come with the pedicure. I went to pay, and they told me it was $40. That's when I asked, "Wait, I'm paying $40? I didn't receive the massage or the hot towels." The employee then said, "Oh yeah, she forgot." She forgot?! How do you forget part of a service that you perform every single day? If I'm paying $40 for a service, I expect to actually receive everything included in that service. Honestly, they should have charged me for the $32 basic pedicure because that is essentially what I received and even with that service, I still didn't receive the massage. The nail tech was standing there waiting for me to tip her, but after everything that happened, I was absolutely not going to leave a tip. I left feeling disappointed, with multiple areas around my toes irritated and bleeding from how aggressively she handled my feet. I used to really like coming here, but since the new people and new management, the experience has completely changed. I genuinely miss the old team and the old manager. She was always friendly, professional, and made sure customers were taken care of. I definitely will not be coming back. I hope management takes this review seriously because customers shouldn't have to leave a nail salon in pain after paying for a basic pedicure. They need employees who are properly trained, attentive, and capable of safely performing the services they charge customers for. read more

The lady doing my pedicure didn't remove the previous gel fully I had to tell her twice there was still some and after she applied the color I realized it was still so much more left causing it to look textured and matte in some areas. I told her that's the first time I've ever heard of that. She insisted that she has been doing this for 29 years and that she couldn't guarantee that my polish would stay on. PLEASE READ. I honestly don't even know where to begin. I've been coming here for over 3 years, and I never thought I would leave feeling this hurt, ignored, and completely disrespected. I came in for a simple, routine pedicure and gel manicure. During my pedicure, the technician started working on my cuticles and then suddenly began digging into my ingrown nail. I immediately told her to stop because it was painful. She did not listen nor understand me. I ended up bleeding a lot. They couldn't even stop the bleeding, and I was sitting there in pain, uncomfortable, and honestly shocked. Not a single person asked if I was okay. Not one apology. Nothing. Instead of taking care of what THEY caused, they continued doing my gel manicure while my toe was in cotton, still bleeding. When they finally checked again, it was STILL bleeding, and there was visible blood on my toe and they STILL painted over it. At that point, I felt completely ignored and honestly disgusted. I still paid through Zelle because their card machine "wasn't working" But once I left, the pain got worse. I reach out and called the salon explaining everything and how much pain I was in. I normally would NEVER ask for a refund, but this situation was beyond unacceptable. I was told yes, that it would be refund through zelle. I waited. Nothing. Then I messaged Kitty directly, and I was honestly in disbelief at how I was treated. Instead of taking accountability, she tried to say that I asked for the ingrown nail service which is NOT true and then said they don't even provide that service. So how exactly did I end up bleeding like that? Make it make sense The lack of care, accountability, and basic human concern is what hurts the most. Especially since I work hard for my money and have being a loyal customer for over 3 years, this is how I was treated. I am beyond disappointed, upset, and honestly angry. Please read the messages. Edit: In response to kitty comment: As you can see no accountability is taken from her response to my review I didn't ask for a refund I was TOLD over the phone I was going to receive a refund for my Bleeding toe. For her to offer 10 dollars off after ripping my nail and making me bleed and having me in pain is ridiculous. Update: Hello kitty , since you keep updating your response please Do not apologize or claim you did everything you could. As a business owner, refusing to refund a loyal customer after causing them harm and making them bleed says a lot about your integrity. I have not left out any communication out everything is documented in the messages and proof I have. You also seem to misunderstand that I never received a receipt, as I paid through Zelle. At this point, the right thing to do is be honest, take responsibility, and issue the refund. That is the least you can do. And I will take legal action. read more

Wow how things have changed , more than 7 years ago I started coming here due to my original nail salon being renovated, they took a little too long w their renovations that is why I went to this place being the closest to my old one . When I started going to Chic Nails & Lashes they were still on the corner before they got the nicer salon .I use to get full services even lashes w Trinh my total would be upwards of $200. Or $300.00 in total , they were so accommodating at that time . I eventually stopped getting lashes done due to constant irritation . I didn't feel like I had to explain myself. I just stopped getting them. Quin use to do my nails , we had no issues I actually thought she was really cool and very talented , I wished her good luck as she left from the Salon to go to school , her mom still works there so once in a while she would tell me about her daughter and I would say that's awesome tell her I said hi I even told her mom to Congratulate her for me on graduating school. Long story short they assigned me a new Nail tech (Annie) and from the very beginning, I could tell that her skills were OK at best. She use to make a lot of little mistakes. She didn't really know what was trending with Nails, she cut me numerous times , sooo bad one specific time, it was a deep cut , I never complained she could've at least been like hey can she get $5 dollars off since I cut her soo bad lol .... Instead I didn't complain and I still tipped her .I am not a confrontational person , I let most things go , Unless the disrespect is too much , I'm 35 yrs old w two kids like enough is enough , it was on Sat the 29th of March , two days before my birthday I was super excited to get special birthday Nails , i walked in and immediately was greeted by Trinh's mom (nice lady) she asked what I needed and I said a new set of gel X Nails , I then followed up with how long is the wait ? since I was short on time, and she replied , "come I'll soak your nails now "! So I'm thinking maybe 15, 20 minutes until someone is done , I was not waiting for any specific tech. She knew the next available one was fine w me , as I sat there going on almost 2 hours , I noticed that both Quin and Annie took two ppl that had just walked in not too long before that . I was so confused I thought they made a mistake so I asked Trinh's mom and she couldn't even look at me and just pointed at Trinh , and I go hey what's up I was next and you guys just took somebody else and she replies "YEAH BECAUSE YOU DUMP HER ! remember you asked for someone else other times "! , and I with a look of disbelief replied what?? Are you serious ? it's personal? Huh???? I was so confused I said so you made me wait for two hours when you could've just told me ? I couldn't believe it was for something that she's taking as a personal issue if she didn't want to do my nails that's fine , but you should've at least had the decency to let me know hey she doesn't want to do your nails because you went with a different nail tech . If I went with someone else, it must've been because I was short on time and she was busy or I wanted something different and as the customer, I thought I could choose a nail tech according to what I want.. Trinh really couldn't give me any other good reason but that and she was basically like what do you want me to do about it?!! She's the one that does your nails yeah but you're the owner/manager you could've just let me know instead of knowing and staying quiet for that long .. It was so odd because I asked Trinh 's mom as I was waiting is that Quin ? And she replied, shaking her head no.. which it was but for some reason, she just decided she didn't want to do my nails either , I'm sure it was to go along with her family or friends. Trinh's mom did say you go w Cruz , which is the Hispanic girl they hired like maybe a year ago, I have nothing against her. I would've gone with her if she was the next available tech, but she wasn't. So many people talk bad about the salon as I would always defend it and say no they have good naitechs , not anymore though she fired all of them or they quit or whatever it was, but all the good nail techs are no longer there like Michael or Danny , or Michael's sister sorry I forget her name , even the new guy Andy that doesn't work there anymore was getting the hang of it with the trendier designs, but you can tell these two techs are related to Trinh or they just like to suck up to her. Trinh also threw in there , remember when you were pregnant she stayed late for you , yeah and I said thank you at the time paid in full and tipped her , I also never asked her to stay late . She was simply finishing up services that she had already started. Ultimately, I never yelled. I never cursed. I didn't even say wow you guys are the fucking worst , like I'm sure most people would've . I also included photos with my review specifically to show that I truly gave your salon multiple chances and to document the quality of work I received which, unfortunately, was less than mediocre. Regarding payment, I was not informed of any ID requirement prior to service. Being told only after my nails were completed that I could not use my card without ID put me in an uncomfortable position. Policies affecting payment should be communicated in advance so clients can plan accordingly. Lastly, I find it inappropriate and unprofessional to publicly suggest that I have "given issues" on prior visits. I returned because I initially liked your work and always paid for my services. Questioning a paying client's character instead of addressing the feedback only reinforces the concerns I raised. My review was intended to share honest feedback about my experience so others can make informed decisions. I wish your business well and hope future clients receive consistent service, quality work, and clear communication throughout their visit.... I wanted to share my nail experience so others are aware before booking here. The customer service starts off friendly and welcoming, but once the owner becomes busy, the entire experience changes. She begins rushing through the service so she can move on to the next client, and what should feel relaxing instead feels like you're being processed as quickly as possible. I paid $200 for services including a full set of nails for myself, a gel manicure for my daughter, and a jelly pedicure for me. I also tipped $15, assuming the quality matched the price. Unfortunately, after looking more closely once we got home, I noticed several issues. One nail is extremely thick with polish, the designs on matching fingers don't even match each other, and what should be clean lines look more like streaks and blobs. For this level of pricing, attention to detail--especially getting the design requested correctly--is really important. The experience was just... weird overall. No regard for people's time. I called for a walk in pedicure and THEY told me to come at 5:30. I arrived before my appointment, they told me someone was finishing up and I would be next if I'd like to soak my feet. I agreed, sat in the chair and put my feet in. 30 minutes later and i'm still waiting. Someone else comes in and they are shortly seen for their nails. Another half an hour goes by and I was not checked on once. It wasn't until I made eye contact with who appears to be the manager that she approached me and said I would be next. I let her know after an HOUR behind THEIR appointment and I would be leaving. I walked out with wet feet that were pruned after waiting in the water for so long. Terrible customer service experience. Update to Manager Response: Thank you for reiterating everything I already said. Again, having me wait an hour over my appointment time you scheduled is not customer service friendly. The lack of attention to detail really showed and I felt like I had to ask them to redo several times in which I still wasn't happy.
