My husband and I spent last night in this great family-owned motel in a nice little community. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. Nathan and his family made sure we had everything we needed. The continental breakfast was better than most chain motels. No AC because it isn't needed. Although the community and the motel area itself were very quiet, the occasional truck traffic on the highway may bother some (but that would be true of any other establishment in this area). We were traveling down Hwy101 to CA and after reading some reviews, decided to book it over the phone. Arrived in the late evening just before dark. Got out of the car, headed to check in and two young guys sitting out front were sharing hits off a water pipe. Go inside, guy at desk was nice and friendly. We head to the room, open the door and whoa, way old outdated furniture, smelled bad and just run down. Opened the curtain, which faced the backside of room and beautiful view of the concrete building next door. We used the restroom, left the key on nightstand and left. Occasional road noise? You are literally less than a 300 feet from Hwy 101. Find another place! read more

Older property but SUPER CLEAN!!! We are traveling up the Pacific Coast Highway and by leaps and bounds this has been our favorite find so far. Thank you Yelp reviewers for the recommendation. We followed your comments and were highly satisfied with the same experience. Yes the facility is older but our room and experience was super clean, accommodating, and was provided with exceptional service. I travel often and quite honestly, get tired of the sterile feeling motel rooms at THREE times the price for a 9-10 hour stay just to get some sleep and a quick shower. The walls were without The typical and older property condition. There were no cracks or blemishes and freshly painted. Stacie greeted us with a friendly hello and as walk-in customers, treated us like she'd known us for years. We have a single bed no-frills room for a single bed no-frills price. We couldn't be more pleased. One queen bed with a clean bathroom and shower, a small refrigerator and Wi-Fi. We don't need more than that. We were invited to have breakfast in the breakfast room in the morning starting at 7 AM. We look forward to it. It is included in our room cost. What a lovely perk. The Wi-Fi worked great. We did not want a full dinner but looked forward to some dessert. Stacie recommended Don's right across the street for pie and ice cream. Again, we were not disappointed. The pie was fresh, made on site, and filled with generous portions of fruit. We enjoyed strawberry rhubarb and the Very Berry which was a combination of marionberry, blueberry, and raspberries. Served warm with vanilla ice cream, it was heavenly to our taste buds. We enjoyed it so much we purchased two more slices to take with us to enjoy tomorrow while we are on the road. Back to the room, - the bed was clean, comfortable, and enough. The towels were white, fresh, fluffy, with no stains and absorbed nicely after our showers. The floor was manufactured wood and spotlessly clean. The bathroom floor was tiled and although had some age on it, was spotlessly clean as well as was the shower. The only one detriment that we could think of was during the shower the water went cold, most likely due to a bathroom use somewhere else in the motel. Cutting the owner some slack for probably aged plumbing that they can't do anything about easily, we can forgive that. Excellence all the way around. read more

Great management and staff. Clean, comfy and warm rooms (during a cold, wet winter). Great place for my pets. The worst WIFI of any hotel/motel I've ever been to. And I've been to quite a few hotels. I don't know why they don't get Charter to fix their Internet service, but I gave up complaining about it. I regularly performed: www.pingtest.net and www.speedtest.net. They both showed the worst Internet scores (D+) that I've seen in all the times I've tested Internet speeds. If you have any type of work to get done, on-line, then don't stay here. It will be super frustrating. Otherwise, it's a great place, despite the roaring of trucks driving by day and night. read more

We booked this hotel based upon Yelp review we read while on the road. It was affordable and had a good review. Hah! What a joke! We had been on the road for 10 hrs when we checked in at 10:30pm. Front desk person was friendly enough. We went to our room which was acceptably clean but windows were wide open (no A/C) and there were people milling around parking lot.and Several rooms had their doors wide open and obviously all knew each other. So I guess residents??? Went to get ice from ice machine which didn't work. I went to office and asked where we could get ice for our much needed drink. The front desk woman went into her room behind office and came back with ice for me. She said ice machine just broke HAH it looked as. Though it had residents living in it (rats). I thanked her and went back to room. Was going to take shower but there was absolutely NO water pressure just a dribble of water. And NO hot water! Toilet wouldn't even flush properly as it took forever to refill. On checkout I told the guy who checked us in that I felt it was a bit deceitful to check us in last night without telling us that there was no hot water or flow. We needed showers! All he said is "My bad"! I asked for owners card which he couldn't find so I told him I would post on social media! Here you go! Don't stay here! read more

OK, so the people that write good reviews are either down on their luck and tacky or simply do not travel. This place is a dive, the room stunk so bad we had to have them spray it, decor is beyond gross, the sheets had not been changed, the TV simply did not work, the front desk was rude..... Continental breakfast was nice, but after a night in an icky unclean room with a TV that would not work and loud road noise, I simply couldn't get excited about it. If you have to stay in Reedsport, choose the Best Western. At least they change their sheets....and the TV works.....and they answer their phone/door when the TV doesn't work and your teenagers would like to watch their favorite show!!! read more

Stayed here recently because my family had decided we wanted to stay in a small motel instead of a larger more well known one, as people do every once in a while. We get to our room and it's ONE BED, we are three people. The nice lady that helped us had said she couldn't take card since her manager wasn't there and she had promised that when the manager got back she would have her bring us our receipt and an air mattress. After like 10 pm you'd think maybe we would have the mattress by then having arrived at 3 pm but nope, no sign. I had to call the number on the office door since the office was locked up just to get toilet paper since the room only had a small partial roll of it. On top of all of this already the wifi was absolutely terrible and you couldn't even watch tv at all, there was no breakfast which all the good reviews talk about. I had to go to the park nearby just to get wifi which was available for me through my phone service. Overall I severely don't recommend you stay here, stay at best western instead or literally anywhere else. read more

Management here is remarkably hands on, and clearly have pride in their business. It is otherwise pretty much what you would expect of a motel on the Oregon coast. Rooms are showing their age a bit, but reasonably comfortable. Amenities are limited to breakfast. It is right on HY 1, so traffic noise can be a problem, especially at 4 AM when the logging trucks start trundling by. read more

First of all, the management here is phenomenal. James was kind, accommodating, friendly and went the extra mile. Secondly, the room we had was comfortable, clean, and modern. The only downside was the street traffic was a noise we were definitely not used to, but that didn't keep us from sleeping with the windows open and enjoying the cool air. Lastly, the price was hard to beat. Great location, great motel. I am super lucky we were able to get in here during Dunefest, and appreciate James so much! We stayed one night in the apartment unit with two queen beds, full kitchen, twin bed and a pull out couch. The chairs in the living room area were really worn out-bottoms almost falling through. Great spot to rest on a trip. I've been on the road for over 4 weeks and I have seen the gambit of motels. This place is a keeper. Rooms are clean and updated. Free breakfast is better than some I have had. Location for local eateries is great. No A/C, but all you need to do is open the windows and let the cool breeze from the ocean keep it cool. Great place to stay for only $69/night!!!!! The room was nicely set up and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you have any concerns or complaints they will fix it immediately. January of 2016 - Stayed here for a while and encountered a suicide next door, and the very next day was asked by the manager to move INTO that room. Filthy dog smell towels with many stains, no hot water, disgusting carpets caked in sand and dog hair (I'm allergic and they wouldn't even come vacuum it for me), poor room service, and free breakfast was old fruit with fruit flies buzzing about, stale cereal in left open plastic containers, and coffee. WiFi signal is weak and isn't working on and off nonstop. Was ripped off when I left early and didn't receive a proper refund. I accepted it all for what it was, but wanted to warn people. Just pay extra and stay somewhere else, it'll be worth it. This town is full of creepy hillbillies and the only thing seemingly open past 6-7pm is the 7-11. read more

I don't write reviews, but this place was so Horrible I just had to warn everyone I could. My husband and I paid for a one night stay for our family to just have a quick place to clean up from a camping trip. I asked for 3 extra towels just 10 minutes after check-in. The owner brought me 2 towels and told me that was all she could give me since she was doing laundry. She asked why I needed the extra towels, I said because we did, and she told me she did not like being lied to. I have to say, at this time I felt something was not right about this place if the owner is telling me this over towels, especially when it is non of her business why we need extra towels. A motel should provide you with the towels you need no questions asked. My family started to try and clean up, but there was No Hot water, and we let that shower run for almost 5 minutes. At this time we decided we were checking out. I went to the office, and told the owner we wanted our money back and were leaving, because there was no hot water, and asked her if she turned it off. She repeatedly accused me of being a Liar, and said it was due to laundry being done. This lady was the most rude and mean motel owner I have ever meet, and my family are well traveled visiting hundreds of places. This owner knows nothing about customer service. BEWARE!!!! read more

Staff is nice but everything smells like dog, and there was dog hair on our pillows and sheets. Slow, unusable Wi-Fi. You will be barked at by 4 dogs nonstop in the manager's office when you arrive, and you will leave smelling like dirty dog. This is a last resort motel. read more

terrible woman runs this place! very very unpleasant! would love to say worse about her but i will keep this professional. this happened about six months ago or so but i forgot i was going to post this. our car broke down right in the middle of the road and some people walking by helped us push it into their parking lot. we tried starting it a couple times with no luck so we decided to call to have it towed. it hadn't been more than a min or so when the woman came storming out of her office yelling whats going on here! we explained we were broken down and she said oh no you cant leave it here! we said oh no we weren't going to that we were calling to get it towed right now and she said well i just cant have you here you cant be here not another min! you will just have to push it back on the road and over to that gas station! i just cant believe she was so rude to us in a time that was already stressful and upsetting. i would never ever ever stay at her motel or recommend it to anyone!!! oh and also its not like the parking lot was full and so we were taking up space that might be needed. the parking lot was pretty much empty! who knows maybe this woman treats her paying customers better than this, at least i would hope so, but i would rather not take the risk to find out. read more
