I met some friends here after church and we had a blast! Kirk, the owner, came out to talk to us as well. What a great family business in Norco! We were greeted immediately and helped right away. They have iced water available right by the register. I had been eyeing the salmon from their Yelp menu photos, but sadly they didn't have that. So I decided to go with the pulled pork tacos on the recommendation of the cashier. The tacos are served on 3 corn tortillas with pulled pit smoked pork, mango-pomegranate salsa and chopped cilantro. Served with a side of homemade chips, which were amazing! The tortillas are extremely hot when the plate first comes out because they are actually quesadillas--nice added feature! I'm a saucy girl and needed some extra sauce on my tacos, so I went with their house BBQ sauce which you can help yourself to--it was perfect! The tacos were VERY filling, so I had to take some home as leftovers. My friend got the Yellowstone burger and THAT looked incredible. May have to try that next time. During that time, I watched two other people who came in after me receive their food before I did. When I finally went up to ask about it, I was told it had "been ready" and that the beeper went off. I told her that wasn't accurate I had been sitting directly in front of the register the entire time and never heard or saw anything. I also made it clear I wish I had been told it was ready instead of just waiting there for nearly an hour. She kept insisting it should have beeped, but I told her it didn't, considering I was holding the beeper the whole time. My order was NEVER called. That part was honestly frustrating, because if I hadn't gone to check, I would've just kept waiting. I don't recall the owner apologizing, and her tone came across as rude. I won't be returning or recommending this place. The food was fine, but the poor communication, long wait, and disorganized order timing are real issues. A friend introduced me to this BBQ restaurant. I had a great time dining here. It's a nice little spot for home style backyard BBQ. Plenty of parking in the front. Interior was cool and laid back. It's meaty & thick. I arrived at Fire 150 Grill (Norco) on Sunday (around 12:53PM). I quickly found parking. The lot is very wide. I came to reunite with some wonderful friends. Customers order at the counter. Staff (receipt says Wendy) is charismatic, welcoming, and diligent. Wendy happily took my order, and Wendy politely answered my questions. After ordering, I received an electronic pager that notifies the customer when their meal is ready. My meal took about 14 minutes. As mentioned, I ordered "The Smokehouse" ($19.99). It includes the big burger and a half pound of golden, crisp fries. The meal had fresh ingredients; it didn't drip with grease. And the patty carried a charred flavor. It's a meat explosion! However, the meat was very dry for a premium burger, and the bread bun arrived partially squished and firm. Fortunately, the tangy BBQ sauce was the highlight! The sauce desperately added some much needed moisture. It's one very messy burger. It's not a bad burger, but it's a very underwhelming meal for a $19.99 price point. On ambiance, Fire 150 Grill (Norco) is clean and welcoming. I appreciated the self-service water station; I loved the small games corner (i.e. Wooden Tic Tac Toe, Connect Four, etc); and I appreciated the homey decor. I actually passed right by it because it was tucked in between other businesses. The entire staff from front to back were very attentive. There were 20 of us in the side room. I threw the cashier for a loop when I asked if I could remove the bread. They made it work. They made somewhat of a lettuce wrap. I don't think they get this request often! Never in my life have I been to Norco but this place I would go back for. Located in a small strip mall (which is what I would call if from Hawaii) with plenty parking and visible from the main street. Alice, the mother graceful met you as your entered. The vegetarian recommendation is a bit misleading. When we got there, I realized it's more of a bbq place, and even the cashier said he wasn't sure why someone had put them down as a vegetarian/vegan place. Still, there were a few salads to choose from and even without my having to ask, the cashier was very accommodating and said he'd remove the bacon bits for me and could add on avocado (more like a guacamole) if I wanted. My sister offered me some of her fries and THAT was really good! It's crispier on the outside than other fries I've had, but still fluffy on the inside. I ended up asking my sister for some more and was even tempted to go back to the counter to buy some just for myself. They did a really good job of decorating the place. Behind the counter there are a bunch of patches from different police departments, the dining area has hanging lights, and it wasn't until after the fact that my sister pointed out you're supposed to squeeze the rubber chicken to get the employees to come to the counter if you need something. My husband and I ordered the F 150 Burger, Van Helsing and Black and Blue Pork Fries. He enjoyed his F 150 Burger. I loved the Van Helsing. The meat was tender and the spice was just right. I like spicy food, so it was hot enough to sting the tongue, but not too hot to damage the stomach. The Pork Fries had a burbon sauce that actually tasted like burbon. It was delicious. The place has a nice "kick back" environment and is equipped with a few games like connect four that you can enjoy. I will definitely be coming back.
