I went here with a group of 4 during oyster fest. The specialty items were very tasty specifically the fried oysters and the oysters in a half shell. If I were to review based on just the food I would probably stay around the 3 star only because the ossobuco was a lot sweeter than I expected and the spicey prawn puttanesca was not spicy at all but that could totally be my palette. Cocktails were great but the service is what knocked it out of the park. Our server was Conner, he was attentive and respectful of our allergies and helped us navigate the menu. We will be back! We had the best server we've experienced in ages. She was knowledgeable, patient, very pleasant and upbeat. We had children with us and she took extra time with them and made sure their orders came out first. One of our granddaughters was super chatty and she really took that extra step to listen to her and engage her. The food was very good, creative and perfectly seasoned/balanced. It's a bit pricey, but isn't everything these days? Even though our table was was in the path of other guests, we still felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. We'll be back. read more

One of my favorite spots in Edmonds. I've done takeout and also dined in during restaurant week. Everything is so good! You can't go wrong with their pizzas, or the meatballs with polenta are decadent, I loved their bolognese tagliatelle. We had the pasta bolognese and a (something with honey on it) pizza, which I can't recall the official name of, which had a wonderful crust and flavor, stone fruit salad (seriously good!) and the calamari. Wow. Ok so it's our second time here. I didn't really want to come back, but my husband loved the Carbonara so he wanted to come back for his 40th birthday and boy am I glad we did!! The hostesses have been really friendly both times we have been here. Hilary our server was lovely! And we had the honor of meeting Chef Micah at the end of our meal! What a great guy! He really has an amazing talent of combing flavors and textures to make tantalizing masterpieces. So much so that the Carbonara makes my husband "almost emotional." (Hahaha.) We started our meal with the Polenta Friti and the Stone Fruit Salad. The Friti was crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. My husband really enjoyed it. I thoroughly enjoyed the salad. The creamy fromage blanc with the roasted peach and cherries with the arugula was soooo tasty. So if you've read this far you could easily guess that my husband ordered the Carbonara and has nothing but good things to say about it. I even enjoyed a few bites and it is pretty amazing. I, however would persuade you to get the Scallops. This dish was harmonious. It was so rich with a variety of unique flavors and textures that went together beautifully. The scallops were seared perfectly, they just melted in my mouth. Combined with the candied scallions, lemon aioli, mushrooms and cilantro, it was really a dish like I've never had before. And I can't forget to mention the "rice balls" I don't know their actual name. They reminded us of falafel slightly. They too had an a amazing flavor and paired so well with the scallops. Chef Micah did tell us that he has recently re-innovated the scallop dish so if you had it before and didn't care for it try it again! First off, the food is great. So if all you want is wonderful food and reasonable prices, I highly recommend Fire & The Feast. My three-star rating is based on the welcome we received and the information provided by the hostesses (or maybe one was a manager, I have no idea). Showed up for Mother's Day brunch with my wife (I had a reservation) and simply asked about the opportunity to sit outside -- it was a beautiful day. The restaurant has a number of picnic tables outside (six or seven -- maybe more) and only one was being used. I had read online that they don't accept reservations for the outside tables, but figured I would ask upon check-in since only one was currently in use. One hostess just flat out said, "no." No explanation. Just "no." The other hostess said they are "booked." My wife and I thought, OK, no worries, if they're booked, they're booked -- but that did contradict what was said online when I made the reservation. Anyway, we had our brunch (our server was terrific) and were leaving -- probably just under an hour after we arrived -- and noticed NONE of the outside tables were being used. So, come on F&TF team ... if they were booked, where were the people using the outside seating? If the real issue is that you don't have the staff to serve people outside, then just own up to it. Most patrons will be fine with honesty. But between the rude "no," and the clearly misleading "they're booked," I feel like we got played. read more

super excited to have an Italian restaurant in Edmonds! Staff was awesome. Ideally would be able to give a 3.5 star. They have the ability to be a 4+ but there were some flaws that can't be overlooked. We got the potato pesto pizza - flavor was there, nice compilation of ingredients that was delicious. However, the pizza was undercooked and soggy in the middle. Also ordered the burrata; the burrata itself was great with the apples and quince! But the focaccia....Very odd. It was like a dense banana bread texture. Not airy or fluffy and sat heavy. I will come back for pizza and pasta because of the flavors, and I hope they can improve a few small things to be even better and stick around! read more

Inconsistent! I've had amazing dinners here and ones that have been quite disappointing. The sign of a good restaurant is consistently whether busy or not. My pizza tonight was about 2 inches of crust with a very thin, cold center and hardly any real part of the pizza to eat. The crust was bland and flavorless. Caesar salad also lacked flavor and freshness. I don't mind paying for good food and am tired of the difference in quality of this restaurant from time to time. read more

Food was delicious. Service was just OK. Timing was awful! We waited well over 35 minutes for our entrees, and they forgot the additional meatballs we ordered. Waitress was kind to offer to buy us dessert, but then she never returned. We ended up boxing up our own food, since we'd been forgotten, walked to the host station to pay our bill, and not even the host offered an apology or inquiry into how it went. I understand a kitchen being in the weeds, but a good restaurant can manage it and accommodate the guests to create a better experience. Very disappointing for a birthday dinner. All the dishes we ordered were so delicious both times we have been here. We loved the bolognese and the carbonara. The Caesar salad and calamari were delicious too. We didn't love the cauliflower appetizer. We had a party of 7 and sat by the door. Our second time back was just a little disappointing. We came on a day just after it had snowed to celebrate a birthday. We had a group of 6 and sat by the door. It was so cold inside where we sat and they had a limited "snow" menu. I wish we had known this beforehand; still great food, but our options were very limited. We wished their entrance had an enclosed portico like many restaurants do to add an extra waiting area and to decrease the cold draft that enters the restaurant. Every time the door opened (which was a lot) we got an arctic blast. We just couldn't really relax. FYI, The restaurant charges a per person dessert plating fee (even for cupcakes). Came for a date night last week during the big freeze and warmed up nicely with our meal here. The service was very attentive, and when my wife was brought the wrong entree (she ordered risotto and was brought ravioli, both were butternut squash, an understandable mistake) she was quick to correct it and eat it right. went out of their way to Very quick to deliver. I had the margherita pizza, and both of our meals were delicious. My one small complaint is that leftover pizza tends to taste a bit lemony when reheated. Not bad, just not what I wanted. I would recommend ordering enough to eat and not planning on leftovers. I would also like to say that their non-alcoholic drinks menu is extensive. I had Il Faux Sho, and it was delicious. A lot of places only have soda on the menu, and while I love soda, it's nice to feel like I'm having a fun drink with my wife but worrying about running the house. the need to do. I noticed that they had some food items in their online menu and not the paper one in the restaurant. We didn't dare ask about it this time, but maybe next time. Service: quick and polite Price: Tuesdays 2 personal pizzas for $25 is a good deal. Quality: good quality ingredients, fresh, no greasy pizza here! Taste: I understand this is gourmet pizza, not your regular pizza... but I like to have at least some hot melting cheese, period. The blob of goat cheese in the middle doesn't spread around the pizza, so I feel it loses its affect. This pizza must be eaten right away when hot, or else it loses texture. I love wood fire pizza so I'll try some other dishes and adjust my review on 2nd visit. We had brunch today at Fire & the Feast, based on other ratings. The food was EXCELLENT!!! I had the Early Riser. Yes I've had scrambled eggs, fruit, bacon, potatoes, and focaccia in many places before. However, this was the best of EACH of these items I have had, perhaps in my whole life! The eggs were creamy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The bacon was perfectly crispy, just the way I like it. The little cheesy potato loaves were crispy on the outside and perfectly textured on the inside. The fruit was exceptionally well presented and fresh. And the focaccia was delicious too! The restaurant was lively (somewhat noisy) and attractive. Our server was attentive. read more

Had a lovely meal this evening and a wonderful, thoughtful server named Ali. However, the experienced turned sour when we were asked to give up our table for another reservation. While trying to hastily finish up our dessert and drinks, the manager (?) asked us to do him a "solid" and leave our table because another reservation wouldn't accept any other table than the one we are at. We hurriedly packed up our things and left, but the whole experience felt so demeaning. Four moms, enjoying a kid-free night out only to be ushered out before even finishing our dessert. Even worse, we felt "pitted" against the other customers who wanted our table. It all just felt uncomfortable and, truthfully, ruined what was an otherwise lovely evening. Totally felt PISSED! Very dissapointed because of the horrible attitude from the staff! 20min after order and yet no food, the waitress asked me if I could repeat again what I ordered. I told her and she said the food would arrive in any minutes. So I thought it was a nice gesture to follow up but it turns out not! Another 10min passed by with false hope, we have been sitting, waiting for over 30-40min with no food and a hungry stomach. I decided to ask help from the waitress wondering if she could help checking with the kitchen for us?! The waitress literally rejected us immediately by replying me "OH 30min TIME is NOT that long actually, given that we are busy tonight!" WTH!! Im so SHOCKED .. So she's telling me I'm not supposed to ask a word??! There's not even a 2nd round of customers at 7:30ish!? It was not THAT busy as I saw. And I have never seen such a RUDE response. Making me think that the waitress was either covering herself with excuse that she forget to put my initial order so she had to ask us 2 times for what I ordered!!!Or the kitchen is slow and the waitress is HORRIBLE!!!! Went here to celebrate my birthday and I gotta say, Fire & the Feast is such a cute place! First of all, the ambiance of the entire restaurant is really nice. It didn't feel overly fancy but like a classy restaurant that I would feel comfortable bringing a large family to. We started our meal with the Steamed Penn Cove Mussels, which was a large starter featuring mussels cooked in this savory white wine sauce, and paired with pieces of their house focaccia. If you are a big mussel lover, this appetizer will touch your heart! It was so delicious, and I'm still thinking of the delicious garlicky-ness that was the sauce. For our entrees, we shared the Lamb Osso Bucco and the Blue Albacore Tuna. As many others have said, the Lamb Osso Bucco was to die for, I mean, tender meat was falling off the bone. I'm not the biggest olive fan, but I found that the flavors of the lamb, apricots, shallots, and tomatoes to compliment entire dish excellently. This is definitely a great dish to eat alone or share with another. The Blue Albacore was also very good but I'm not sure I would order it again. The flavor profile of the albacore was an interesting mix of tartness, savory flavors from the albacore crust, and a bit of bitterness from the olives. It was a great portion as well, but as a dish it felt a bit underwhelming compared to everything else. We finished our meal with 2 desserts: the lemon olive oil cake and the affogato. Kindly enough, our server omitted the former from our check because of my birthday celebration. Personally, I loved the olive oil cake, but my friend found it on the drier side. It was a crumbly cake with a delicious lemon-mascarpone cream that wasn't too sweet. The affogato was absolutely to die for. Their gelato was a vanilla-like flavor with flecks of chocolate shavings throughout, so pouring the espresso on top made the entire dessert taste sweet and velvety. Our server was so kind and attentive, I don't think there was ever a time when we had to wait for our waters to be filled or wait to get our orders in. The only reason this gets two stars is because of the food and interior design. The service was horrible. Our server had a section of maybe 6 tables when we had arrived and we got sat immediately without reservations. She checked my ID way harder than I've ever had anyone check it because I ordered a glass of Prosecco. Every time my partner and I would ask for anything she would look up at the ceiling and roll her eyes. She disappeared for a solid 20 minutes and 3 of her coworkers seemed to be taking her section. Out of these 3 coworkers, only 1 checked on us after trying multiple times to flag someone down. If you want discriminatory service, come to this place. Coming from the service industry and being so excited to go out on my day off 45 minutes away from home and spend money for great service definitely set me up for being let down at this establishment. read more

Maybe it was on the menu in fine print somewhere, but I'm not searching the menu for hidden taxes. Im reading it for what to eat. It's not as if the food is cheap therefore justifying a surge charge. I went here for my birthday dinner with my husband and it was lovely. I made reservations online but being a dolt, I made it for the following day. The hostess was extremely understanding and did her best to alleviate my embarrassment by telling me it happens quite frequently. Fortunately, the wait was only 15 minutes and they allowed us to sit outside on a bench and have our cocktails while we waited. I had the My Cousin Vinny (my first time trying a clarified milk punch, an unusual find but delightfully silky) and my husband had F + F Spritz, which was also quite good. Our waitress was Lauren, she was friendly, efficient and made some very good recommendations. We got the heirloom caprese salad and the chef's bread selection to start - SO. GOOD. The arugula and pickled shallots in the caprese took it to the next level. We then elected to share the Alla Gricia, per Lauren's recommendation, which was perfect. I will dream about this meal for awhile. We got the tiramisu to finish, which Lauren brought out with a candle and (quietly) sang me Happy Birthday! They also comped our drinks for "waiting patiently" when I was the one who messed up! They went above and beyond and I only hope our tip was sufficient ($30 on a $60 and some change bill, not including the drinks). I've already recommended this place to several folks and we will definitely return the next time we have an occasion to celebrate. read more
