My friends and I stopped by…read moreBrothers Cousins Tacos on a Thursday evening around 8:00 p.m. and there were only a few people in line in front of us. I ordered four tacos in total: two al pastor tacos, one lengua, and one cabeza taco. You start by ordering on the left side of the stall, pay for your food, and work your way right where all the garnishes and sauces are. Of the tacos I tried, my favorite was by far the cabeza. The meat was fatty and rich and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I would definitely recommend a squeeze of lime and raw diced onions to help cut the richness for a more balanced bite. With the al pastor, Brothers Cousins has a bunch of meat already sliced and diced up on the grill top, which unfortunately means unless you're getting the pieces of meat that are directly contacting the grill, you're not going to get the crispy bits that make al pastor so delicious. You do get a piece of pineapple with the al pastor, so that's a nice touch. Not my al pastor, but far from the worst. Overall, I cannot recommend Brothers Cousins enough if you're in this area -- the tacos here are seriously delicious and you're getting insane value. I hope they're able to maintain the $2 price point well into the future.

It's a popular spot, but the line moves fast, and the service is friendly and quick. I love that they let you self serve the grilled onions and peppers. The pastor tacos also come with pineapple on top, which I love. You can park in the CVS parking lot, so you don't have to stress about finding parking. I'll definitely be back, and I want to try their burritos next time.

They even have a table with seating so you don't have to dit in your car or on the curb to have it fresh. Service is always friendly and they change the agua fresca options regularly which is nice. It's cash only and prices are really worth it for the value. Toppings like grilled onions, cilantro, tomato, and cucumbers are self-serve as well as two spicy red salsas, salsa verde, and an avocado crema. The tacos al pastor are my favorite though my friends love the pollo and the carne de asada so everything is just solid. Burritos are massive and also delicious.

Super tender steak, perfectly melted cheese, and a really well balanced mix of flavors. The salsa bar is no joke either. There are plenty of options and each one actually tastes distinct. I am especially a fan of the green salsa and the avocado salsa. I could not even finish my burrito in one sitting, and when I reheated it the next day it somehow tasted just as good, if not better. Which honestly says a lot. Huge bonus points for convenience since it is right next to Ralph's. There was no wait when I stopped by, and my food was ready within a couple of minutes. The stand was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and overall it is exactly what you want from a solid Mexican food spot. Fast, flavorful, and reliable. I will definitely be back.

It's basically a party at the stand. That all averages out to 4 stars for me. We got there at 4:30 p.m. on a Friday and didn't take our first bite until around 6:40 p.m. There are very few meals worth waiting more than two hours for. While Miya Miya serves what's probably the best chicken shawarma wrap I've ever had, I don't think it's worth a 2+ hour wait. That said, if you take away the wait, these are absolutely five-star flavors. The incredible crunch of the wrap, paired with the pomegranate and garlic sauces, makes every bite crisp, rich, and ridiculously satisfying. And don't sleep on the fries. They're some of the best I've had and are absolutely worth ordering alongside the shawarma. I'll be back once these guys open their brick and mortar spot. Take away the insane wait times, and I'd make Miya Miya a regular spot on my rotation.

Yes, they are playing music and having a good time but they are literally dapping every damn customer and socializing and wasting time. Yo... this ain't a social event. Anyway, thats my rant.

The Combo is a huge hamburger topped with a full hot dog that's grilled, sliced up, and loaded right into the burger. They finish it with mayonnaise, ketchup, onions, tomato, and lettuce, and somehow it all comes together really well. It's a big sandwich, but every bite had a great balance of flavors. The burger was really good, but the hot dog was definitely the star of the show. You could tell it was a quality hot dog. It had a nice crisp bite to it, and even sliced up, it still had that great texture that made it stand out. I was definitely full by the time I finished. Jerry, who cooked my food and took my order, was also super friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. Great food, great service, and an all-around great experience. It's one of those classic, old-school burger stands you don't see much of anymore (especially in the West LA area), tucked in between a gas station and a fire station. no frills, just doing its thing. I grabbed a double cheeseburger and a Coke, and it was solid. Could have used some more seasoning or some thousand island. I think my pallet has been spoiled by In N Out. All in all. Solid. This felt more like a throwback than a "wow" meal. Still good, just not something I'm going out of my way for. Bottom line: solid spot, great nostalgic vibe, good food. Will I be back? Maybe. Not a regular go-to, but definitely a place I'm glad is still around.

Plenty of spots were already filled with people eating by or near their cars. I like that we have this whole parking lot of Ralph's to kind of relax and chill at while eating. We didn't stay too long after we ate but I think overall the vibes were nice especially with some upbeat music playing. We would throw our plates in the trashcan on the sidewalk but I can see it get full quick. I tried out 3: the al pastor taco, the lingua taco, and the carne asada taco. Definitely the al pastor meat was something else. Extremely flavorful, tender, and the meat was chopped finely. I think without any salsa, the tacos would taste pretty standard. I pumped a good dose of each salsa from the toppings area. Ps I really like the fact that the salsas are poured that way rather than through a shared spoon scooper. It makes the experience feel more clean. I also think that you being able to add what toppings you'd like on a burrito before it gets wrapped is nice. Anyways, I think that the option for tacos having some grilled cheese makes this also much more enjoyable! $2 per taco, very affordable!
