I live close by so I really wanted to be a fan of this place however I can't say that I am. The staff is super friendly and was the best part of my experience. They have a large parking lot in the back for free parking, and all of our items were made fairly quickly. However, the taste was a 3/5. Most people seem to order to go from here, but they do have some tables inside for dining in. They have a fairly limited menu in comparison to a lot of other Mexican restaurants, but they do have some good options. We chose the super burrito which is a wet burrito and strangely enough has a lot of lettuce in it, which I was not a fan of. Also, the meat was not really seasoned, I chose Asada, but it was almost like ground meat. We also order the flautas, which were just OK. Not nearly as crunchy as we like nor was the meat as good as we are used to. Overall, I would not recommend and don't plan to be back. There are too many other better locations in the area. read more

HIGHLY recommend this place for catering (bulk orders) for parties!! My daughter really wanted Mexican food, especially cheese quesadillas, for her birthday party. This place put together such an amazing package for us at a very affordable price, and even included (for free) huge tins of rice, beans, and chips and salsa. I was looking for some tacos near sawtelle and found this spot. It was great!! Tacos were $1.90 each even though the menu said $1.80 each. My favorite was the Al Pastor and Carnitas. Asada was decent. They are very generous with the meat portions and provide complimentary chips and grilled onions as well. There is a salsa and sauce bar that you can help yourself with. They have an ice cream freezer, drinks, and other snacks you can purchase. There's a parking lot in the back, which made it easy. Just a short walk to the corner front door. One of the best Tortas in the game. Carnitas is stellar, perfect shred, texture and doneness (slightly pink). Most importantly, the bread. Too many places ignore this key element, which is everything for a great torta. It's the perfect balance of crunchy and fluffy, all multi-grained and flour dusted, incredible 'Artisan' bread that holds together strong and tastes amazing. And instead of the silly cut-in-half and over wrap in wax paper, leaving the in-n-out experience, they serve as a solid sandwich in a sleeve. This makes it way easier to eat on the go, without eating a bunch of paper. Bonus: when I order tortas, I always add jalapeños. They're like: oh we already add them. The salsa verde was delicious. It was pretty mild but you could taste the sweet and sour of the lime and jalapeño. My bf said the salsa roja had some HEAT. The total was about $17 plus tip. No idea if the food is good or bad. Came the other night, ordered some food to go. Handed the person my cc and they politely informed me that they add $1 to all credit card transactions. I asked why? They said they had no idea why but pointed to a hand written sign next to the register. I said, no problem just go ahead and cancel my order and left. In my opinion this is the dumbest policy. Yes there is a charge for businesses to take credit cards but just build it to the price of your food. Add ten cents to every item and you will make way more money and happier customers who will never know the difference. Instead you lost a customer over your stupid $1 policy. As well, I believe this policy is illegal. I could be wrong on that point but understand it to be true just not policed. read more

They charge 15 dollars for a breakfast burrito which I think is a little pricey for an average tasting breakfast burrito. This restaurant brings all the flavor normally found in East LA to the west side. The torta was perfectly made - warm, juicy meat, soft but tender bread, right amount of cheese to hold it all together. I enjoyed mine with some of the mild green salsa and it was excellent. My friend moved out of state a year ago. Of all the family, friends, and things he left behind, what does he miss the most? Freakin' Mexican food. A week ago, he comes back and drags me when I'm recovering from food poisoning out to El Super Taco in West LA. Really? So many things wrong with this picture! I'm thinking, you're going to make me eat Mexican food when my stomach is sensitive? And more importantly, we're leaving EAST LA to go to WEST LA for authentic Mexican food?! That boy must be crazy! But I decide to let the guest of honor make the decision. So we go and park in the rear, and he orders a ton of food even though I'm not planning to eat. Long story short, I try the food and it is surprisingly better than I expected. Chicken nachos were hearty and tasty with big portions. So much stuff going on there.
