I live close by so I really wanted to be a fan of this place however I can't say that I am. The staff is super friendly and was the best part of my experience. They have a large parking lot in the back for free parking, and all of our items were made fairly quickly. However, the taste was a 3/5. Most people seem to order to go from here, but they do have some tables inside for dining in. They have a fairly limited menu in comparison to a lot of other Mexican restaurants, but they do have some good options. We chose the super burrito which is a wet burrito and strangely enough has a lot of lettuce in it, which I was not a fan of. Also, the meat was not really seasoned, I chose Asada, but it was almost like ground meat. We also order the flautas, which were just OK. Not nearly as crunchy as we like nor was the meat as good as we are used to. Overall, I would not recommend and don't plan to be back. There are too many other better locations in the area.

After just doing a tour thru an adult day care, hubby wanted some tacos. We grew tired and just stopped at the first place we literally saw. Business is kitty cornered, parking in rear. Business is small with a few tables that can fit anyone from 2 to 3 per table, and or 3 folks can sit at a bar area. I'm going to be honest and up front. I am unaware of what culture or region who uses black beans as mayonnaise on their dishes. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of black beans. I thought I was safe when I ordered. chicken taquitos, which had black beans layered on top of my taquitos sides: beans brown and mexican red rice Tacos de cabesa we very greasy my guest mentioned and his cubano torta was bland lacked flavor.

This place is really good and I love coming back to it! Parking is really easy in the back. It's always plentiful and you'll have no problem. It looks like a hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop place. Their tacos are delicious and I love the grilled onions they have. There's no fee if you pay with cash and their prices are really affordable. I love it when I'm craving quick tacos. It's so quintessential Los Angeles.

    Worst torta ever.

Worst torta I ever had. I literally vomited in the parking lot. The bread crumble every time I took a bite like the bread was soooo old it just crumble. The avocado was brown. All vegetables were soggy. Just the worst.

I was looking for some tacos near sawtelle and found this spot. It was great!! Tacos were $1.90 each even though the menu said $1.80 each. My favorite was the Al Pastor and Carnitas. Asada was decent. They are very generous with the meat portions and provide complimentary chips and grilled onions as well. There is a salsa and sauce bar that you can help yourself with. They have an ice cream freezer, drinks, and other snacks you can purchase. There's a parking lot in the back, which made it easy. Just a short walk to the corner front door. The lady who took our order was very sweet and attentive to our needs. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by again!

This is a great little restaurant and good for takeout. The attendant at the counter is delightful. The food was ready in less than 5 minutes. Tables of 2 to 4 seats, and a max of about 20 seats inside. No outdoor seating. Worth a try...I will be returning!

Nice little ma-and-pa taqueria located in a busy part of LA but with plenty of parking in the back. Good, authentic food with still reasonable prices. Whacky cartoonish wall arts give the place a whimsical character. We would come back here again next time we're in West LA.

The burrito, the rice, the beans, the different salsas, everything was sadly bad. The burrito was 14.99, and was not even decent.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

They guide you to the entrance which about one hundred feet north. Walking in you're shown many awards, culminating in a 2025 Michelin. There must have been a special occasion to be welcomed by music that was incredibly loud. We sat down, and I couldn't hear myself think, or the waiters voices. We asked for another table, but unfortunately that brought a certain type of attitude from the host. I'm sure the music would have been nice if it wasn't as loud, on amplified speakers. After finally being seated, near the bar, the service seemed great. Seating seemed plentiful, but I can now see why a reservation is necessary. To start, the appetizer we chose was a queso fundido which was ok on their smaller tortillas. I must have been spoiled by Chalio's homemade giant tortillas. Chalio's on Atlantic by the way. Guelageutza uses sautéed mushrooms, and they garnished it with this guacamole that didn't really taste that good. Mushrooms on the fundido didn't seem right, but individually they tasted great. The chorizo was ok. My gf likes to try those types of apps. They're not known for that, so I can let it pass. Our order was taken, food was quick, and hot. The attentiveness of the staff was good, but their smiles were absent. Must have had a long day. I got the black Mole chicken, my gf got the enchilada negras(black mole) topped with their tesajo. My dish was good, hot, and full of mole, which was delicious as well. They served it with their tiny homemade corn tortillas. They have several types of mole. My gf got the enchiladas Oaxaceñas and it looked good until I took a bite of the enchiladas. They just poured mole over the tortillas and that's where the flavor went flat. The tortillas were dry and not dipped in the sauce. Traditionally in my family, we fry our tortillas lightly in oil, or lard, and roll them in the sauce. My gf didn't even finish them. I ate all of my meal, and I took her enchiladas home. They were even worse as leftovers. I tried to order their traditional flan, but they had ran out, so I ordered their tres leches. It was ok. I was really disappointed that they ran out of flan though. All in all, this establishment was ok. The atmosphere seemed very manufactured, but I've never had the pleasure of visiting Oaxaca. The mole negro was delicious on the chicken. Seeing that It was recommended on Yelp, I agreed with the statement of picking that dish. The bathrooms were great with a good amount of stalls. I can't say that about a lot of good delicious Mexican food restaurants here in LA. They seem to be more of an afterthought with some. Reminding myself this was Michelin rated restaurant, I didn't get that same feeling with the food though. This now, will give me an excuse to look into why a restaurant is rated as such to understand why that matters so much.
