This has become one of my favorite taco stands in all of LA. It's such a pleasant and relaxing time eating here for a number of reasons--it's a little off of Santa Monica Blvd so it's less hectic/loud from the street noise compared to other stands, the staff are very kind here, each order is cooked/prepared individually, and the food here is fantastic. Of note, this taco stand serves birria in addition to the usual meats, so it's particularly great if you are craving a burrito, let's say with asada, and some birria tacos on the side. I also sometimes just get a birria burrito, which is delicious. The rice & beans and salsas are also very flavorful here, which round out the delicious burrito. They also have a philly cheesesteak torta I've been meaning to try, as well as a dedicated vegetarian menu. The chips/salsa and free candy are a nice touch as well. There are a few tables here if you want to sit down--otherwise it's your usual eat at your car situation. Definitely come check out this taco stand!

I had the chicken tacos and my husband had the chicken burrito. The white meat chicken in both was moist and delicious and the tortillas used in the tacos had a great corn taste. We also had a side of guac which was 5*, just avocados and a slight hint of onion. For such a small operation they have a pretty large menu. Can't wait to try other items. And the prices are super reasonable for the quality you get. While waiting for our food they gave us a small container of chips and salsa - nice touch. NOTE: it is cash only, and you're not allowed to park in the lot. I believe it's street parking only.

They are open Monday through Friday from 6pm to very late 1130pm and are very nice people. The food is excellent especially the tacos are my favorite. Learned about Tacos Barrios from a local group and I'm so glad I finally got to try it! For my first visit I just tried a asada taco and a quesabirria, but I'll absolutely be back to try more. Both were delicious and generous, and it traveled well (a 10 min walk home). This is a simple pop up tent plus one 4-person table. There were lots of locals ordering, and service was quick and friendly. They are closed Sun, Mon, Wed usually, but I've noticed that occasionally their schedule will change, so best to check their Instagram account (@tacos_barrios) where they usually post any upcoming changes. And they do have veggie tacos!

I got an al pastor burrito and lemme tell you, it was AMAZING. The meat was seasoned perfectly (not too salty), and they had a habanero salsa that had such a great flavor and added that kick you'd expect. It was restaurant quality in your backyard, for real, and the staff was just SO kind. I couldn't believe the price, either. A massive burrito for 10 bucks, tacos for 1.50-2.00 each. I genuinely wish I could've eaten more, but I was stuffed (for 10 bucks, what more could you ask for?). Just be sure and bring cash! I can't wait to come back and have the birria tacos!

Very nice family. They even give their customers á cute Christmas gifts too, á mini Panettone cake. So heartwarming! Their tacos are the best I have tried, unique and authentic flavor. I wish they have longer hours! I heard the father had health issue last year so I can understand their short hours though. read more

One of the best taco carts in the area. They offer decent barria and al pastor tacos in addition to the standard options. Tacos are 1.50-2.00 each and they definitely don't skimp on the meat. I like this place better than the other carts and trucks within a 10 block radius. read more

The best burritos and tacos in the area! I always get their carne asada burrito with everything and the flavor is phenomenal as it's always seasoned to perfection! I've had the birria as well as the tacos which are both equally amazing. This place is my favorite taco spot and will always be my go to. Tacos Barrios is a taco stand that is located just north of Santa Monica blvd on Brockton. The tacos here are pretty good. My fave would be the lenga tacos. I hear the chicken is good, but haven't brought myself to try them yet. I've had the Asada which has been alright. The al pastor was pretty good. Most taco meats will run you $1.50 per taco. The lenga has an upcharge of $.50 so you end up paying $2 each. read more

Pastor Burrito: Fried cheese and browned slightly crisped tortilla. The meat was rich and juicy; well salted, seasoned with lime, and a complex blend of peppers. Some chipotle, coriander. The taste was forceful, fatty, and addictive. A notch below Taco Stand and Loqui, but still one of the best in LA. Tacos had an interesting idea of frying the tortillas soaked in the cooked marinade. read more

This place is the real deal! Excellent food (I recommend the quesabirria), great service, totally reasonable prices and is genuinely a family business. I've talked to Marcos - the mastermind and chef behind the stand and he and his family literally prep all their food the day of so it's always fresh. In terms of ambiance, while it's in a parking lot, it's not actually on Santa Monica Blvd so it's quieter and more secluded than other stands in the area. There's also a table there unlike other stands so you can actually eat comfortably there if you don't want to take it to go. If you've got a taste for LA street food of the Mexican variety, definitely check this place out along your spicy and savory travels my friends! read more

The food is incredible!! They have delicious dishes, specifically the veggie burrito which I loved. The people are amazing and so kind. The whole experience is so welcoming and enjoyable. They have great vegetarian options as well as meat ones. You should stop by, say hi, and grub on delicious food! Don't forget to tip extra, the service is deserving of it. read more

It was also very unique in that I am not sure if I've had truffle guacamole anywhere else. For my entrée, I chose the Carne Asada Bowl and absolutely loved it. It's what I usually order here and would suggest to anyone. For dessert, we tried their Red Velvet Churros and loved them. They are extremely sweet and would be a bit too much for one person so I would suggest this to share. Every part of this meal is consistently good and I use it often for lunch.
