Cant recommend them enough. They are a gem in our neighborhood. Their Tacos and burritos are so good . They recently started having burgers and hotdogs too, the best yet. They are so sweet with great customer service.

This has become one of my favorite taco stands in all of LA. It's such a pleasant and relaxing time eating here for a number of reasons--it's a little off of Santa Monica Blvd so it's less hectic/loud from the street noise compared to other stands, the staff are very kind here, each order is cooked/prepared individually, and the food here is fantastic. Of note, this taco stand serves birria in addition to the usual meats, so it's particularly great if you are craving a burrito, let's say with asada, and some birria tacos on the side. I also sometimes just get a birria burrito, which is delicious. The rice & beans and salsas are also very flavorful here, which round out the delicious burrito. They also have a philly cheesesteak torta I've been meaning to try, as well as a dedicated vegetarian menu. The chips/salsa and free candy are a nice touch as well. There are a few tables here if you want to sit down--otherwise it's your usual eat at your car situation. Definitely come check out this taco stand!

Yum yum! Tacos Barrios is really a hidden gem. It's just a little tent in a parking lot in a West LA neighborhood but it packs a punch on delicious food. I had the chicken tacos and my husband had the chicken burrito. The white meat chicken in both was moist and delicious and the tortillas used in the tacos had a great corn taste. We also had a side of guac which was 5*, just avocados and a slight hint of onion. For such a small operation they have a pretty large menu. Can't wait to try other items. And the prices are super reasonable for the quality you get. While waiting for our food they gave us a small container of chips and salsa - nice touch. NOTE: it is cash only, and you're not allowed to park in the lot. I believe it's street parking only.

They are open Monday through Friday from 6pm to very late 1130pm and are very nice people. The food is excellent especially the tacos are my favorite. The burrito is good but a little pricey for the size. Overall we were very satisfied with our meal and the friendly service here. The best part is living 2 blocks away.

Discovered this taco spot on a random Saturday night while hungry and it was satisfying. It's a small tent pop, family run business with the father cooking and adult kids taking orders. CASH only! What I enjoyed: Friendly Affordable (eg: tacos $2, burritos $10, mulita $2.50) Fast (we waited 20 minutes for our order on a Saturday night at dinner) Portion size was generous What I ordered: Birria taco Pollo mulita Pastor taco Carne asada burrito Why only 4 stars? Food was filling but tacos, mulita, and burrito were all on the dry side. I was expecting a little more sauce in the birria tacos.

We came across this place after leaving chase bank and driving down the alley. They have a tent set up with a table and chairs available. It looked like it was a Dad and his kids running the business, which I love to see. So 5 stars for that. I ordered the Birria tacos and the quesabirria. I felt the Birria was tender but a bit on the dry side. And I didn't like the consome at all. It was very oily and fatty. Salsa were all flavorful and the Jamaica was really good. Not too sweet at all. Parking available in the small lot infront of them. CASH ONLY

My favorite taco stand. Food here rivals anything you'll find in a resultant. I get the lengua pastor and birria. Muy delicioso.

Learned about Tacos Barrios from a local group and I'm so glad I finally got to try it! For my first visit I just tried a asada taco and a quesabirria, but I'll absolutely be back to try more. Both were delicious and generous, and it traveled well (a 10 min walk home). This is a simple pop up tent plus one 4-person table. There were lots of locals ordering, and service was quick and friendly. They are closed Sun, Mon, Wed usually, but I've noticed that occasionally their schedule will change, so best to check their Instagram account (@tacos_barrios) where they usually post any upcoming changes. And they do have veggie tacos!

An excellent burrito and horchata

I got an al pastor burrito and lemme tell you, it was AMAZING. The meat was seasoned perfectly (not too salty), and they had a habanero salsa that had such a great flavor and added that kick you'd expect. It was restaurant quality in your backyard, for real, and the staff was just SO kind. I couldn't believe the price, either. A massive burrito for 10 bucks, tacos for 1.50-2.00 each. I genuinely wish I could've eaten more, but I was stuffed (for 10 bucks, what more could you ask for?). Just be sure and bring cash! I can't wait to come back and have the birria tacos!

Hidden gem! Very authentic and delicious options. My favorite is the Philly Cheese Torta... soooo good and enough for 2 to share (in my opinion). Tacos are excellent too! My favorite food stand in Santa Monica

I was in the mood for a burrito around lunchtime and remembered this place, so I decided to drop by and give their burritos a try. The guy running the truck is very chill and friendly, and the ordering process is quick and easy. A nice chill local spot all in all. I opted for a pastor burrito this time around. It came with two salsas, roja and verde. There wasn't much heat, but they were definitely packed with flavor, and the salsa verde in particular paired very well with the pastor. Everything in the burrito was well prepared and well put together, every bite was a nice mix of flavors and textures. The pastor was delicious and meaty, the rice was nice and fluffy, and the beans had just a bit of bite to them, creating a nice contrast in textures. Overall a very good spot, and the owners of the truck are valuable parts of the community. Definitely swing by to support!

Because I wanted to give you an honest review,I ate it on the spot. Taco was not crispy, couldn't taste the batter, or the fish. The carnitas were ok. In my opinion, they could have used a little more seasoning. I had a carnitas taco and an order of carnitas nachos. I felt like the carnitas on my nachos were a bit dry. And the cheese on my nachos didn't melt. The nachos were quite small for the price ($12). Ordered a cheeseburger. It does not include fries, those are sold on the side. The cheeseburger was very dry. Not very flavorful and the fries were ok. The Al pastor taco was good. I noticed that our food was not necessarily hot. Again, we ate our food there and in the car. Don't see why it wouldn't be hot if it's fresh. And if I had to pick something good out of this visit, I'd say the tortillas were nice.

Finding a late night taco truck in Los Angeles isn't as difficult as you might think. But finding…read moreone that is tasty, affordable, and hits all the high notes can be a bit trickier. Which takes me to the West LA/Sawtelle neighborhood where I had the chance in trying out "El Paladar Oaxaqueno Taco Truck". Located directly on Santa Monica Blvd and just west of the 405 freeway, this popular mobile food truck has been around since the mid-2000's. And if you're looking for something that operates in the wee hours of the night, they are opened for business 7 days a week from 6:30am-3:00am. I arrived here a little after 8:20pm as I was looking for a meal to hold me through the night. As for the parking, it can be a bit challenging but I was able to find something just around the block. This truck is highly visible from Santa Monica Blvd and not hard to miss. As far as the ordering process goes, this place also offers food delivery (as of 2024) to all the major apps; DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Postmates. But I am someone that enjoys going to place as well as conversing with the employees/staff. Since there was no line during my visit, I walked right up and told the gentleman I would like three Carne Asada tacos (toppings on the side) and one Carne Asada burrito with no rice. Total price came out to around $24 which is quite a bit higher than the trucks in East LA/South Central LA. After making the 20 minute drive back to my hotel room, the tacos and burrito are still piping hot. As far as the flavor, these definitely have that distinctive LA "flavor" as this was seasoned very well and a very unique and acquired taste that you can't find in cities such as San Francisco, San Jose, and Sacramento. Their menu is as extensive as you'd expect as they carry several proteins; Asada, Pastor, Pollo, Chorizo, Cabeza, Lengua, and many more. And as for the selection goes, you have your choice of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, tlayudas, tostadas, mulitas, enfrijoladas, nachos, and salads. And finally the Mexican refreshments that include Coca-Cola, horchata, aguas frescas, and much more. The pros of "El Paladar Oaxaqueno Taco Truck" are arguably the amazing flavor that these things pack into them as well as a great location that is easily accessible. The cons were the very high prices (I believe my Asada burrito was around $15) and the salsas were just too watered down. Overall not a bad meal but I've had way better, especially in the Los Angeles area. When you factor in great service, above average food, but mediocre prices, I will have to rate this place 4-stars. But they are open until 3:00am so a night out of drinking at the bar/club and your opinion might change.
