Fire Ice. I've been intrigued for many years about this place just for the name alone. At a recent bachelorette party, I was finally able to go. I enjoyed that you are able to call for reservation of a big party. There were 9 of us and they were able to accommodate. For those of us who have not been before, the server was kind enough to give us a lowdown on how this works. We learned that is is all you can eat, you can enjoy the salad bar and of course the noodles, meat and veggies. Everything is cooked to order and the chefs put on a show too. I enjoyed the salad bar first and then went for the hibachi. I love the endless possibilities for the combinations. It truly is whatever you are in the mood for. I like the chicken and seafood options. I do recommend you check this place out if you are in the South Lake Tahoe area!

This was our first time here- but we will be back the next time we are in the area. The hostess was so kind and had the brightest smile. She was happy to be spending her summer working in Tahoe. Our server was Diana, so personable and helpful. She walked us over to the prep stations for our salad and bowls and gave us suggestions and tips. The 2 young men working the grill were so fun and entertaining. They put on a show, and were very kind to everyone. It was fun watching kids try to throw cheese on their burgers This was a wonderful salad bar- I really enjoyed the couscous and the beets Restaurant and restrooms were clean and well maintained My only drawback was as someone who doesn't eat meat- I would like to have clean spatulas for my grill dishes... the spatulas were used on all the food on the grill top

    Plenty of outdoor seating

We enjoyed our time at Fire Ice. We had the fish tacos, which were good but a little on the plain side and a couple of beers. It is self-serve and there is plenty of outside seating. They did have a Mongolian barbecue style buffet inside which we did not try but on the menu it looked pretty good. What's on the menu is not easy to see. They do have a couple menus, but you don't see them till you get to the order window. The food was a little slow, but it is a pretty busy place. Ambience was great though with outdoor views of the mountains and a nearby band that was playing in the pavilion. Overall, it was a decent experience.

This spot has unlimited buffet eats of hibachi and grill items. Full bar of drinks too. . My favorite their salmon, add basil, garlic, olive oil, lemon, and lime juice for them to cook on the grill. . Also the salad bar is great with plenty of options to mix and match and dressing bar too. . Great options for carbs like pasta, egg noodles, orzo, and etc. Then pick the veggies and proteins and sauces. Then bring to the counter for them to cook it with a show too. . The proteins have your pork, chicken, beef, lamb, bacon, hot dog, burger, to seafood like shrimp, salmon, scallops. . Ambiance in here is like a lodge with great food and casual cozy seating. The service was friendly and quick on their feet. Hope this review helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

First time here venturing out of our hotel. We did the AYCE and it was not bad. You get a bowl at a time and they cook it up for you , kinda like a Mongolian style. Food was good since you can choose the seasonings you want in it. Good options. The employees were all fun and entertaining too.

The locals suggested we check out Fire + Ice, and I'm so glad we listened! This place was such a fun and unique experience. Their signature grill setup is amazing, the chefs put on a great show while cooking your food right in front of you. The process is simple and super enjoyable: grab a bowl, load it up with your favorite ingredients, choose your sauce, and then head to the grill. You end up with a sizzling, fresh, and healthy meal customized exactly the way you like it. I went with vegetables, salmon, scallops, and shrimp with the olive oil and garlic sauce, absolutely delicious. I left feeling full and totally satisfied. The atmosphere was lively, and the whole experience made our Lake Tahoe trip even better. Next time we're in town we'll definitely be back! Highly recommend! Yelp ya later!

I have always been worried about stuff like this. Hibachi places, grills, and most Asian food, simply because of my allergy and cross contamination. However, this place was my first chance at a restaurant like this, and I was BLOWN AWAY! We stumbled upon this place and I was immediately assured that not only were there no nuts present (except the desserts which were WAY far away), but also that they could accommodate my mother's gluten allergy, and geill her's out back! I got a random mixture first, and it was good, but my second bowl was AMAZING! Chicken, tilapia, udon, teriyaki sauce, shaved steak, peppers, green onion... It was perfection! As for the experience, making your own bowl was pretty cool, and the staff were very attentive, and reassured me and my mother about our needs. Also just watching them grill my food on the communal grill was just mesmerizing! The place give off a, for lack of a better word, snazzy vibe. Very cool feel, almost homey, but with a slight fancy touch in my eyes All in all, if I'm ever back here, I'm going here FIRST!

This is my absolute favorite place to eat when my family comes up to Tahoe! It's a great place to go if you have any picky eaters with you. Everyone gets to pick exactly what they want, and they have so many different options to choose from. The staff are also very friendly and friendly!

My friends and I were mainly here to grab drinks and brought our own games as we enjoyed the dj playing in the background outside. We tried their margaritas and some of their hot spiked drinks as well. I personally liked the schapp spiked hot drink that was like a minty hot chocolate. The drinks were ready fairly quickly and the staff were willing to help out with turning on the outside heaters if needed.

This place is very interesting. The service was great. As some other comments mentioned, sometimes the food got burned but other times, it was delicious. The cooking was really fun to watch and the vibe was great. I thought it was a great experience.

I know you are patio dog friendly but are we also allowed to bring our dog inside to do the all you can eat?

NO absolutely not. Even my son's service dog was refused access to the inside. We did the all you can eat dining, but they made us sit outside on the patio with his service dog. Honestly, it is super crowded inside and you probably don't want to be…

Are you guys still offering "all you can eat"?

Yes, they are still offering all you can eat $36 for 18 and older $16 for ages four through 11

    Is it G-free friendly?

I'm assuming you mean gluten--and would it kill you to just say that?--but you can totally control what goes in your bowl, absolutely. All you have to do is not pick gluten-containing options and there are TONS.…

How much does it cost for dinner and is it all you can eat?

Yes it is AYCE and prices are listed on website here and below ~ ENJOY!: https://fire-ice.com/locations/south-lake-tahoe/…

Is there a price difference between lunch and dinner? If so, what are the price differences?

Yes, lunch is about $9 cheaper. They have more seafood at dinner.

As I walked in, there was a musician setting up and the bartender greeted me. I ordered the banana bread latte iced with their house made banana bread syrup for my husband. That was my absolute favorite drink between that and the Matcha. I ordered the strawberry Matcha Americano and I think there might have been some confusion because I did order it iced but then said Americano so the bartender thought I wanted it hot. I told him not to worry about a remake and to just pour it over some ice because I don't like to waste. They say that they use a ceremonial Matcha. Being a matcha enthusiast, the color really wasn't there nor was the umami, but that's OK because what surprised me is that they actually make it in a bowl and whisk! While I wouldn't return for the Matcha, I would absolutely be back for coffee that has a house made syrup. We got it with oat milk and it was just divine. I found myself reaching for that drink more than my Matcha. Inside is very clean with plenty of seating and I love the live music aspect right when you walk in.

I ordered a drink for $22 that tasted good, but overall, the drinks here are just way too expensive for what you get. They also had live music playing during our visit; it was good lounge background music that added a nice vibe to the room, but it wasn't anything spectacular or something to get overly excited about. It's a cool spot to check out for the ambiance, but the high drink prices keep it at a flat three stars for me.

Warmly greeted and seated promptly…read more We began with a Blackberry Smash cocktail and the Seafood Plateau. The cocktail was sweet and the glass sticky, but full of berry flavor, nonetheless. The Seafood Plateau was incredible with King Crab Legs, Jumbo Prawns, Mussels, Lobster Tail, Ahi Tuna Poke, and Salmon Poke. It was a tad spendy, but since it's shareable for 4-5, I'd say it's worth it and would definitely order again next time. We also had the Crab Cake, two sizeable patties -- a little bit more flavorful and larger than your typical Crab Cake. The Grilled Broccolini was good, but typical. Lastly, for appetizers, the Crispy Pork Belly was also a hit -- although I did not get a taste as it is smaller and not so much shareable. The pièce de résistance was the Tomahawk Steak. Cooked perfectly medium-rare and served with Chimichurri and Au Poivre sauces on the side. The steak was very flavorful without any sauce, IMO. Served with Grilled Asparagus and Lobster Mac & Cheese. Kelsey provided excellent suggestions and service throughout. The ambiance was nice -- not dressy, but not casual. Resort attire, is what they call it, I think. We will definitely be back!

We started with the steak tartare and oysters, both of which were incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The fresh bread was a perfect addition to the meal, and every dish was prepared with great attention to detail. The service was attentive, the food was outstanding, and the overall experience felt upscale without being pretentious. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with excellent food and a beautiful setting, The Bistro Edgewood is definitely worth a visit. We look forward to coming back the next time we're in the area.

The Bistro Edgewood - Tables are comfortable but chairs are very heavy and hard to move. But nice setting with sparkling glass wear.
