Fire and Ice Dirty unsanitary no good. We shouldn't it pay the prices we pay and accept the quality we accept. Chefs do not have any idea on food safety, food is burnt to a crisp or served basically partially raw. Food is scraped off the grill on the plate along with anyone else's food that was burnt in. I usually only write reviews for places I'd happily give 4 or 5 stars, but I feel like I need to be honest about our experience at Fire + Ice in South Lake Tahoe. First, the positives. The staff was fantastic. The cooks were engaging, entertaining, and cooked our meals perfectly. Our server was outstanding and deserves 5 stars. She didn't just provide good service, she showed genuine hospitality. Unfortunately, the condition of the restaurant really brought down the experience. The bathrooms were filthy, with toilet paper scattered on the floor and an overall lack of cleanliness. The food bar where you build your bowl was messy, with raw food on the floor and the serving areas needing much more attention. The dining room also had food and debris on the floor, making the restaurant feel unclean throughout. It's disappointing because the concept is fun, the food was good, and the employees clearly care about their guests. I hope management gives the restaurant the attention it deserves. With better cleanliness, this could easily be a 5-star experience. Right now, I'm giving it 3 stars. read more

I enjoyed that you are able to call for reservation of a big party. There were 9 of us and they were able to accommodate. We enjoyed our time at Fire Ice. We had the fish tacos, which were good but a little on the plain side and a couple of beers. It is self-serve and there is plenty of outside seating. They did have a Mongolian barbecue style buffet inside which we did not try but on the menu it looked pretty good. What's on the menu is not easy to see. They do have a couple menus, but you don't see them till you get to the order window. The food was a little slow, but it is a pretty busy place. We were in South Lake Tahoe for a long weekend. We stopped at Fire + Ice on Thursday afternoon and had yummy appetizers and cold beers! The DJ (I think his name was Cody) was fantastic! The outdoor patio was so nice and we had a great afternoon! We liked the place so much that we went back on Saturday for the wing and beer fest. We tried the wings from Fire+Ice and they were crispy and the sauce was really good - just the right amount of heat and sweet! It is no wonder that they won the best wing contest! We stayed around for dinner and the food was fresh and delicious! The grill guys were very entertaining and the wait staff were friendly and accommodating! Fun place in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. My fish tacos were tasty. My friend's spicy shrimp was truly spicy!

We didn't eat here but we were walking around the Heavenly area and they had a DJ with a busy crowd outside. We went to the window and ordered some frozen cocktails since we were all hot. Unfortunately there were almost no available tables as many of them were reserved for dinner service. I have always been worried about stuff like this. Hibachi places, grills, and most Asian food, simply because of my allergy and cross contamination. However, this place was my first chance at a restaurant like this, and I was BLOWN AWAY! We stumbled upon this place and I was immediately assured that not only were there no nuts present (except the desserts which were WAY far away), but also that they could accommodate my mother's gluten allergy, and geill her's out back! I got a random mixture first, and it was good, but my second bowl was AMAZING! Chicken, tilapia, udon, teriyaki sauce, shaved steak, peppers, green onion... It was perfection! As for the experience, making your own bowl was pretty cool, and the staff were very attentive, and reassured me and my mother about our needs. We had a long wait at a nearby pizza joint that's one of our favorites, and this place looked lively so we gave it a shot. We didn't have their Mongolian fare, but they do have a decent selection of appetizers and small plates. We had the BBQ chicken flatbread, the Margherita flatbread, chicken wings, and spicy shrimp. The wings and flatbread were okay, but the spicy shrimp were quite good. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails too. The vibes are great with some good music (a little too loud for my taste, TBH) and a great seating area outside. Good option if you want to try something different. read more

Not sure why everyone is rating this so poorly. We went yesterday for an early dinner and had the best meal. Everything was so delicious and consistent with the Anaheim location. You go to the bar or all the food items are and basically load up a bowl with any ingredients you like and take it over to the cooktop and your items will be cooked perfectly in any sauces will be added as well. It's all you can eat so don't go too hard on your first serving cause you're gonna wanna go back for more. Be sure to try all the different toppings and different meats as well. Unfortunately, the workers seemed to care more about entertaining their customers hibachi style than actually cooking the food, so your meats may come out overdone (or in our case, burnt!) since plates are cooked in batches- regardless of what people have selected. Some ingredients definitely did not look fresh and both my friends who had the fried rice had stomach issues immediately after dinner. I had the shaved beef with stir fried noodles and I thought the food was decent, but was it worth $33 + tax and tip? The grill can accommodate a wide variety. I focused on salmon and shrimp with the olive oil, garlic sauce. I did two rounds and both were fantastically tasty. I skipped the pastas and carbs so I could fill up on proteins and I was still only able to do two trips. The cooks are skilled grillers and have lots of meat tricks to entertain while you wait. Wow, wow, wow! Fire & Ice is a special treat in the heavenly village! Went on a friday night and the place was packed, both indoor and out. We were instantly seated and our server explained the whole process of all you can eat. This restaurant has so many fresh ingredients that are cooked right in front of you by a very professional staff. The layout of the cooking station is like a clock with patrons constantly rotating in and out with customized bowls of meats, veggies, and other wonderful ingredients.
