For breakfast we had tater tots eggs bacon and Beignets. My husband had the French toast meal and he loved it. For dinner we shared the tomahawk steak with salad and fries. Came here with some friends and had a great time initially. Unfortunately, that changed when we noticed an automatic 20% gratuity had been added to our bill. We were never informed about this charge, nor did we see any sign or notice stating that gratuity would be automatically included. As a result, we ended up tipping on top of the 20% charge without realizing it. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told this was their normal policy. I've been to many bars and restaurants, including late-night establishments, and whenever an automatic gratuity is added, it's typically disclosed to customers beforehand. Just a heads-up for future customers: carefully review your bill before adding an additional tip, as gratuity may already be included. Transparency about extra charges would have made for a much better experience. read more

Base Camp Pizza is our normal go-to when in town, but we decided to switch it up and try the wood-fired pizza at AleWorX. We ordered the Uovo since we love prosciutto, burrata, arugula, and an egg on top of anything is a YES. Took it back to our hotel, and the portion was perfect for two to share. Crust was super tasty, crispy, flavorful, and cooked really well. Burrata, arugula, and egg were fresh and balanced. Only downside was the prosciutto. It wasn't just salty in the usual cured way, it was like.... Good Lord salty. I drank 3 (THREE) bottles of water and ended up pulling most of it off. Hoping it was just a one-off because overall we enjoyed it and would give it another shot. It was very busy since it was Valentine's Day weekend. Inside is dark with loud music. We spent a long weekend in South Tahoe and ended up here twice. Once was killing time before dinner and out group had drinks on the patio and then a couple days later following the celebrity golf tournament for drinks and something to eat. While the pizza looked great, I've been on the gluten free train so I had a bunless chicken sandwich. It was served as a pile of shredded chicken with buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumble on top of lettuce. I also had some chips on the side and i got some ranch dressing as well. This was a great gluten free and high protein option which was exactly what I needed. We had the same server both times and he did a great job taking care of our group. read more

We walked over from Caesars after a very long and stressful travel day with no food. After we were seated, our server James let us know he was the only server as well as the bartender. We were not sure what to expect given several Other parties arrived at the same time. James handled everything extremely well. Excellent pace of service for us and the other tables. Our food was terrific as well. My husband had the Italian sandwich and which he said was one of the best. We shared a very fresh and flavorful salad first. I had the potato skins which were excellent and each one was about half of a small potato so very filling. Great dinner and service! read more

After coming here for a while, I loved this place. Then i had an experience where a man poured his drink on me and had told staff that the situation was reversed then kicked me out and kept him in. After the man reported that I was the aggressor rather than inquiring about the altercation, they just kicked me out of the bar telling me I was in the wrong only because the man was a regular. What's better than pizza and beer before a hockey game? After my lackluster visit to the Reno location of AleWorX, I figured I would give the stateline location a go since it's near the hockey rink and serves up on of the teams beers, Knight Cap. This location is very cool. It gives off college party vibes. We grabbed a spot at the bar and ordered some beers and a supreme pizza. The bartender was cool and fairly attentive. The pizza came out in a reasonable time and tasted great. It was loaded with toppings and I enjoyed it a lot. The pricing isn't too bad for Stateline, so that's a plus. My only gripe and the reason it's not 5 stars is that for the area, the food here isn't special. There are lots of places to get great pizza and beer and if you aren't coming to AleWorX to party, there are better restaurant choices. I'd love to see something that sets them above the rest of the area. Perhaps on my next visit something will blow me out of the water and things will change. For now, I think this is a great stop and certainly worth the visit to support a local brewery! read more

Usually, when we come to Tahoe, we head over to Basecamp Pizza. It's a tradition but this time we wanted to switch things up and I'm so glad we did! Even though we got a classic cheese pizza it was so fresh and light. You could definitely taste. The difference in the wings were amazing not super soggy skin and crispy like we requested. The drinks were great. We will definitely be back! I think this might have to be our new pizza spot excited to try the different pies. read more

I had a very uncomfortable experience here late last night around 2:30 AM. During an altercation, I was physically pushed by two other customers. However, I felt staff/security treated me differently as the only Asian customer involved.they pushed me out I have asked management to review and preserve the surveillance footage from the incident. I hope the business takes this matter seriously and ensures customers are treated equally regardless of race. Very disappointed with how the situation was handled. read more

The mandarin topping was a little different also. The pairing just wasn't there for me. The wings were tasty and decent buffalo coating. Not overly cooked and nice pieces. The Tartuffooooo!!! Straight up superstar! Truffle lover here... and I'm cheesing since we had this. Haha. I did dock down one star... only on service since it was a bit slow. This review is strictly for beer service. We came in and the DJ had great music playing. We sat near the bar since we didn't get food. They have a great beer selection and the cider I had was great. The only downside was when the tap ran out it ran up charges on my card. They took it off but we had to be sure to check our receipt thoroughly. The servers were nice but very busy and rushing around. Which is understandable. It's a cool concept and I would come back for a beer. Food is a little pricey. Like $20 for a "small bite". Everything was fantastic. I didn't even go in there hungry but left extremely full. I went because my brother was hungry and I accompanied him. Background: I've been here at least 3 to 4 times since they opened about 5 years ago. It's always been decent, but this last time was just plain bad. The Beginning: My 2 friends and I came here last Friday, March 22nd. It was packed when we arrived around 8. We got the last table way in the back. The table was wobbly, so our server stuffed some napkins underneath. The Food: We ordered two pizzas :The all meat and The Supreme. We asked our server after we placed the order to make our pizzas well done. I heard her tell the kitchen. These may have been the worst pizzas I've ever had. When the pizzas arrived they looked great. Crust had a nice char up top. But when we picked up a slice the bottom was SO soggy that pizza literally fell apart. It was terrible. We should have told our server immediately, but we were so hungry we just ate it. I'll own that we didn't give them a chance to fix it. The Service: I really hate criticizing servers and bartenders. I am a former bartender myself. But with that said our service pretty much sucked. Our server dropped waters off and said she'd be right back. It was probably 10 or 15 minutes before we saw her again. When she came back we ordered and someone else dropped our drinks off. My beer came in a plastic cup. I'm not a snob by any means , but come on a plastic cup. Ridiculous get me a glass. Our server just seemed liked she hated her job. We were nothing but kind to her the whole time. It very well could be she had way too many tables which is on the business. Final Thoughts: This place is in a very busy tourist area. They also have a nightclub sort of thing going on. I feel like they're not super focused on food quality. Maybe it was just an off night. I'd definitely give them another chance as I've had good experiences here in the oast. read more

I appreciate how late they serve food and loved being able to dance to the club music that was being played at the front of the building while we were eating out late night snack. We had an extra hour before the concert at Harrahs/Harveys Amphitheater and decided to stop by to try the pizza. Great beer and wine and pizza with casual fun atmosphere with super friendly service. Wanted to stay in the near leading up to the moments before the concert and I had always wanted to try the brick fire pizza. Far too many times at the Harrahs foodcourt when I knew deep down there was something really good and special just steps away. Why eat something that has been sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long? Beer and wine - I think that is what many come for. They stay for the fun ambiance and pizza. The pizza had a rustic look to it and had shredded chicken and garlic. Very unique combination that I hadn't had before. I think that was the second most popular pizza and it was very tasty and obviously super fresh. Every time I enter the Harrahs parking lot I take a look at the back patio and make a mental note to self to come when I see people enjoying themselves there... Instead of assisting, I was accused of "pushing through the crowd," which is honestly absurd -- I weigh about 90 pounds and was simply trying to retrace my steps. That accusation was then used as a reason to threaten kicking me out, rather than helping me recover my lost items. What made the situation even worse was the clear attitude shift after I tipped on my card but didn't provide additional cash. From that moment on, the staff's demeanor changed completely -- less patience, more hostility, and zero effort to help. Between losing my jacket and a gold earring and being treated like a problem instead of a paying customer, this place left a terrible impression. I wouldn't recommend this spot to tourists or anyone expecting basic courtesy. Don't come here unless you're okay with the risk of your belongings going missing and being blamed instead of helped.
