We stayed up at the lake last week for my partner's birthday. And on our last night, we both wanted pizza. So we walked over to Lake Tahoe AleWorx and had an amazing meal. We had the Pizza Margherita and a couple of beers. Food was tasty, atmosphere is retro Tahoe ski lodge, and service was friendly.

I was amazed on how the pizza was so good for a west coast pizza! The sauce a the toppings were delicious. The crust was nice and firm. Even with all the topping the crust held its own. I was able to fold a slice and the slice didn't sag.

Great pizza, friendly staff, chill environment! Definitely bar first restaurant second but the pizza is great. We went to another pizza place in South Lake and AleWorX was wayyyy better. Highly recommend!

What's better than pizza and beer before a hockey game? After my lackluster visit to the Reno location of AleWorX, I figured I would give the stateline location a go since it's near the hockey rink and serves up on of the teams beers, Knight Cap. This location is very cool. It gives off college party vibes. We grabbed a spot at the bar and ordered some beers and a supreme pizza. The bartender was cool and fairly attentive. The pizza came out in a reasonable time and tasted great. It was loaded with toppings and I enjoyed it a lot. The pricing isn't too bad for Stateline, so that's a plus. My only gripe and the reason it's not 5 stars is that for the area, the food here isn't special. There are lots of places to get great pizza and beer and if you aren't coming to AleWorX to party, there are better restaurant choices. I'd love to see something that sets them above the rest of the area. Perhaps on my next visit something will blow me out of the water and things will change. For now, I think this is a great stop and certainly worth the visit to support a local brewery!

Usually, when we come to Tahoe, we head over to Basecamp Pizza. It's a tradition but this time we wanted to switch things up and I'm so glad we did! Even though we got a classic cheese pizza it was so fresh and light. You could definitely taste. The difference in the wings were amazing not super soggy skin and crispy like we requested. The drinks were great. We will definitely be back! I think this might have to be our new pizza spot excited to try the different pies.

Came here for a quick bite because it was right outside the hotel. I probably wouldn't recommend it or visit again. I'm used to receiving waters and silverware at the table while eating for our food. We didn't get either. I ended up asking for silverware after our food came. Pizza was good but small. I think they might have been understaffed but I'm not an expert. Loved the cheese pull on the pizza.

We came and ordered old fashioneds and the Lola. We also ordered the tartufo pizza, light on the cheese. Drinks were on par as always and the pizza came out amazing. Service was great. Highly recommend coming here.

Ate the pizza too fast lol but it was the artichoke chicken pizza

My half eaten pizza lol. It was really good though. Solid pizza and cool staff. It was nice because it wasn't too packed which was nice. Quick service and fun vibe

Tasteyyyy. Just straight up tasty. The spinach and artichoke dip was not too bad. My only thing is maybe to ask for light cheese topping as it was THICCC. The mandarin topping was a little different also. The pairing just wasn't there for me. The wings were tasty and decent buffalo coating. Not overly cooked and nice pieces. The Tartuffooooo!!! Straight up superstar! Truffle lover here... and I'm cheesing since we had this. Haha. I did dock down one star... only on service since it was a bit slow. I presume the woman at the bar was the only one working at that time, but she was super sweet! Interior ambiance is unique. Like your standard bar but with a twist. Most likely will come back if I'm ever in the area.

Fine if you don't mind $10 draft beers, terrible service, and waiting 50 minutes for a pizza.

The interior is dimly lit, calm, and still very inviting--something you really have to experience in person. The drinks and mocktails are so well crafted that it's almost shocking--you take a sip, then look back at the menu like, "Wait... that's all it cost?" and then back at the bartender like, "Hold on... you made this perfectly for me?" We sat at the bar top and, like everyone else, got caught up in our phones trying to post everything in real time. But Amanda, who was making our drinks, could spark a conversation out of thin air. She was a total pro at keeping us engaged and enjoying our time, all while making drinks and taking care of everyone else around us.

The standout of…read morethe night was definitely Amanda the mixologist--she was absolutely great, incredibly fun to talk to, and an overall delight to be around while making our drinks. The atmosphere itself is on the smaller side, but it fits the cozy, hidden speakeasy vibe perfectly. That being said, the pricing is a bit tough to swallow. I ordered a drink for $22 that tasted good, but overall, the drinks here are just way too expensive for what you get. They also had live music playing during our visit; it was good lounge background music that added a nice vibe to the room, but it wasn't anything spectacular or something to get overly excited about. It's a cool spot to check out for the ambiance, but the high drink prices keep it at a flat three stars for me.

The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and never rushed. Every member of the staff made us feel welcome, and they even surprised us with a complimentary anniversary dessert that was such a thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding. The lobster ceviche tacos were incredibly fresh, bright, and beautifully presented. We also ordered the crispy stuffed tacos, which were packed with flavor and had the perfect crunch. The Caesar salad was anything but ordinary, topped with an amazing Parmesan crisp that elevated the entire dish. For our entrée, we shared the ribeye, and honestly, it disappeared before I even thought to take a picture. It was cooked perfectly, tender, flavorful, and absolutely worth ordering again. The cocktails were just as impressive--beautifully crafted, refreshing, and a perfect complement to the meal. To end the evening, Wolf treated us to a warm chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream and a "Happy Anniversary" chocolate medallion. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dinner. Wolf delivers the complete experience: incredible food, creative cocktails, exceptional service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. If you're visiting South Lake Tahoe or celebrating something special, put this restaurant at the top of your list. We'll definitely be back.

I had the bitch in heat, which I enjoyed. My wife who wanted so badly to come here, had the Big Bad wolf and it was "earthy,"we all tried it and none of us enjoyed it. She ended up with a Rosé after that. Upon checking out(and I already knew it was not cheap), our bill was around $125 for a total of 5 drinks. Checked it off the list!

The food was pretty solid overall. We ordered the Cajun shrimp salad, Tavern burger, buffalo cauliflower, and fish and chips. I'm giving 4 stars mainly because the buffalo cauliflower didn't actually taste like buffalo -- it leaned more toward a curry-style spice. It was still good, just not what we were expecting. The fish and chips came with deep-fried salmon, which unfortunately was a bit dry. On the bright side, the fries were SO good -- they tasted like they were fried in beef tallow and reminded us of McDonald's fries in the best way. Overall, a good spot with a nice atmosphere, and I'd definitely be open to trying other items on the menu next time!

Warmly greeted and seated promptly…read more We began with a Blackberry Smash cocktail and the Seafood Plateau. The cocktail was sweet and the glass sticky, but full of berry flavor, nonetheless. The Seafood Plateau was incredible with King Crab Legs, Jumbo Prawns, Mussels, Lobster Tail, Ahi Tuna Poke, and Salmon Poke. It was a tad spendy, but since it's shareable for 4-5, I'd say it's worth it and would definitely order again next time. We also had the Crab Cake, two sizeable patties -- a little bit more flavorful and larger than your typical Crab Cake. The Grilled Broccolini was good, but typical. Lastly, for appetizers, the Crispy Pork Belly was also a hit -- although I did not get a taste as it is smaller and not so much shareable. The pièce de résistance was the Tomahawk Steak. Cooked perfectly medium-rare and served with Chimichurri and Au Poivre sauces on the side. The steak was very flavorful without any sauce, IMO. Served with Grilled Asparagus and Lobster Mac & Cheese. Kelsey provided excellent suggestions and service throughout. The ambiance was nice -- not dressy, but not casual. Resort attire, is what they call it, I think. We will definitely be back!
