I'm not a Vanderpump fan and was expecting this to be overpriced for what you get even for South Lake Tahoe Casino Hotel standards. I was pleasantly surprised. The decor/ambiance is excellent albeit maybe a little over-the-top but on the ground floor on the corner of a busy street it lacks any kind of special view. The drinks and food surprised me, they were actually pretty decent! Nothing absolutely incredible but for example the creamy vegetable risotto was some of the best risotto I've ever had. Pasta dish was overcooked (but what us Americans are used to.) Like most any restaurant, your mileage may vary depending on what specific menu items you choose. Service was excellent and the food prices are very reasonable FOR SOUTH LAKE TAHOE CASINO HOTEL DINING (many entrees under $30 -- cocktails are overpriced in general, low-mid $20's which is typical for high-end casino hotel craft cocktails.) This is a strong/high 4 stars. 5 stars if I let the designer decor, celebrity branding, or vacation/special occasion splurge mentality bias my judgment on the cuisine level and/or profit center cocktail prices.

My sister and I enjoyed our dinner at Wolf. It was our first experience and it exceeded our expectations. The interior decorations put you in a fine-dining, forest atmosphere. It was dark and elegant. The attention to details were amazing. The service was outstanding by Camilla and her assistant. They checked on us frequently and refilled our waters. I was very thirsty.... lol. We ordered two mocktails... Berry Sexy and Emerald Bay. They were colorful and tasted refreshing. We started off with the OUTSTANDING Signature Wolf Bread with honey butter appetizer. It was soft, warm and delicious. It was so good that I ordered one to-go. My entree was their filet mignon with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. The steak was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes. However, the roasted veggies were bland and undercooked. My sister ordered the salmon with risotto. She enjoyed it. Reservations are highly recommended.

Trying out the new Happy hour... 3-5pm at the bar or the patio. Our favorites are on the reduced price menu...so we decided to check it out. Had a marvelous bartender take care of us. We started off with some beers, because they were far more reasonable than the craft cocktail selection on Happy hour. I got the goat cheese balls and hub got the prime rib sliders. We got a side of fries for 10.95.... These were not the fries we like with the starch coating, but they were hot and fresh. I wish they would bring back the chip style fries...they would be so much better. Music was really good in here today...felt trendy and happening. Of course the inside is just stunningly beautiful. We really like this restaurant.

Wolf did not disappoint. Everything my party of 5 ordered exceeding our palettes. We were pleasantly surprised. Reservations are strongly recommended. Our server, Dylan was absolutely amazing, friendly, funny, very attentive to me as I was celebrating my birthday. As it was our first time there, Dylan gave wonderful suggestions on drinks, appetizers and main entrees. The drinks were delicious (Berry Spritz, Tequila Mule, Frozen beverage and Moscato. The appetizers were just as delicious (Wolf Bread, Cauliflower bites, Chicken bites). Then, the main entrees (Salmon meal, Waygu Ragu, Red Prawns Meal and Shrimp Tacos). The atmosphere was relaxing and there was always something to discover with the exquisite decor. Wolf did not disappoint. Everything my party of 5 ordered exceeding our palettes. Came here for birthday! I love the interior decorations. The vibe is great and our waiter was attentive and excellent. Order: signature wolf bread sheep's clothing wagyu ragu herb dusted wild salmon 6 oz filet mignon au poivere I loved the presentation of everything, especially the sheep's clothing cocktail! The cotton candy on the glass just made the drink so cute and magical. The bread was warm and fluffy. The pasta was creamy and steak was delicious. The desserts were great too! Would recommend!

Food here was something typical you would get in these types of restaurants. Above average for sure, but I don't believe I would come again. They are right next to a Hells Kitchen, so if I'm able to be in the area again I will most definitely try that. Love the staff though. Very beautiful atmosphere.

We had a wonderful time at Wolf. We came here on our first night staying at the hotel and loved it so much that we came back again for our New Year's Eve dinner. The ambiance here is unmatched. The space is beautiful, the decor is stunning, and the music really adds to the experience. It worked perfectly both as a dinner spot for two and would also be great for a group. The food was wonderful, the cocktails were delicious, and we had great service during both visits. The staff was attentive and helped make the experience even better. Everything we had was great overall. The signature wolf bread is absolutely amazing and dangerously addicting, I'm pretty sure we finished the entire thing. The garden greens salad was simple but surprisingly enjoyable. The prime rib sliders were the perfect appetizer portion and great quality. The caviar and chips were good, although not particularly memorable compared to everything else. The seabass was excellent as well. New Year's Eve dinner was also such a fun experience and made for a great celebration. The only thing we weren't crazy about was dessert, which honestly surprised us considering how much we enjoyed everything else. Overall, definitely one of our favorite dining experiences during our Lake Tahoe trip.

Very unique restaurant at South Lake Tahoe. The interior design is just amazing and the details are hard to find in other places. The food was delicious and the customer service was excellent! Our favorite dish was the mac and cheese that has a very different flavor since they use cheeses not traditionally used for this recipe. Definitely worth trying!

Very helpful staff. This is my second visit and they did their absolute best to seat my party of four despite not having reservations. Our waitress was helpful with drink suggestions and food suggestions as well.

    Atmosphere is gorgeous.

TL;DR: For the area, this is a fun, trendy restaurant absolutely worth trying with solid eats and standout visuals. For hardcore foodies, it's good, but average. Eats: Wolf Bread: Parmesan crisp vibes with a delicious hot honey butter. Caviar & Chips: Pretty, but lacked flavor. Caesar Salad: Solid and classic. Wagyu Ragú: Best dish of the night. Rich, comforting, and I'd definitely order it again. Banana Noir: Good overall, but the sweetness felt uneven between the cake and cake center/caramelized bananas. Atmosphere + Service: Service was spot-on; friendly, attentive, and never hovering. The decor is stunning and captivating, almost overstimulating but in a fun way. It's great night-out vibes. Overall: Enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back to try more dishes.

We have been to the 3 Vanderpump restaurants in Las Vegas. So it only makes sense that we go to Wolf knowing that the craft drinks, food and decor are the best in town. We came for drinks and ordered: -Cry wolf - Smokey, great presentation with the maple smoke. -Lake effect - gin, ginger, matcha, lemon, cucumber, basil -The 1849 - tequila, gold flakes -Vanderpump mule - lychee, ginger beer, grapefruit, vodka, peppercorn rosemary. -All the peels - Smokey, scotch, great presentation. Old fashioned. I'm a sweet kind of gal and not into whiskey, bourbon, scotch so Lake Effect and Vanderpump Mule were my favorite. It was on the sweeter side and refreshing. The decor was immaculate and every detail felt outdoorsy yet indoor. We had Colten as our mixologist. He had the best crazy energy and talented at his craft.

This was my first Vanderpump restaurant. I always see the ones in Vegas and they're absolutely stunning. I haven't had the chance to go but knew I would be awed by the decor inside of Wolf! It is so cozy, chic and the attention to detail is insane! Drinks are great. We ended up only getting 2 appetizers and honestly, we were full! I'm glad we didn't end up getting more since we aren't local and wouldn't have space for leftovers. The service was amazing and our waitress was awesome! She spent a lot of time with us talking through the drinks and constantly checked on us and our waters were never empty. Would love to come back again!

Extra shoutout to our server Scot -- probably the best service we've had in our past year of fine dining. Hopefully management reads this and is aware how awesome he is! So Wolf is one of my go-tos as a local when I wanna eat out; yes it's tourist pricing but at least the quality delivers consistently. Our usual go-tos: Wolf in Sheep's Clothing cocktail Wolf bread The lobster tacos were super refreshing Garden salad (fresh and very well made, Tahoe salads elsewhere are kinda abysmal) Fish and chips (We switch it up but this is our current rotation.) The music was fun club fare (def catering to the millennial tourists), the decor was on-point... it feels like a local staycation every time we swing by here and HK next door. Oh reminder you can get parking validated here too. Whether you're visiting or local, def give em a check, the food is worth it!

Hi. Planning to do a dinner here but my Fiancé and I will be in our ski outfit gear from the slopes by any chance can we still eat and do dinner after or will we need to change our clothes?

Yes, that will be fine. This is a well decorated restaurant, but it still is casual. We got a little bit, dressed to eat here the first time. However, the second time everyone went in their casual clothes.

    Is there a Dress code?

Yes dress as if you are going to impress

Is there a bar/lounge for walk in cocktails?

Yes long bar to walk up.

    Ganache pine cone still available?

I didn't see it last time like a month ago

    Is there outside seating?

    YES. And it's beautiful!

    Is this dog friendly?

They don't allow dogs for dining inside, but they do if you dine on the patio

    Is the patio dog friendly?

not really, there is a patio but not open maybe on a hot day.

    Is this restaurant Kid friendly?

Yes. We brought our 8.5 month old baby and 3.5 toddler. They were so kind, helpful and accommodating!

Are there any vegan options or options that could be made vegan?

I did the cauliflower and salad but not a lot of options

    Do you take reservations?

They do! On OpenTable. Book in advance though. I don't see any openings when I look a few days in advance at least for Friday/Saturday.

    Is there a corkage fee?

Yes and it's not a small one. I think I heard it was $30 or more.

Is bar seating first come first served?Do I need a reservation to eat in bar?

    You need a reservation.

    What's the dress Code?

    Casual

    Is it kid friendly?

When I made a reservation I found this on the Open Table site: A note from the restaurant… Read more

The atmosphere itself is on the smaller side, but it fits the cozy, hidden speakeasy vibe perfectly. That being said, the pricing is a bit tough to swallow. I ordered a drink for $22 that tasted good, but overall, the drinks here are just way too expensive for what you get. They also had live music playing during our visit; it was good lounge background music that added a nice vibe to the room, but it wasn't anything spectacular or something to get overly excited about. It's a cool spot to check out for the ambiance, but the high drink prices keep it at a flat three stars for me.

The fish and chips came with deep-fried salmon, which unfortunately was a bit dry. On the bright side, the fries were SO good -- they tasted like they were fried in beef tallow and reminded us of McDonald's fries in the best way. The Seafood Plateau was incredible with King Crab Legs, Jumbo Prawns, Mussels, Lobster Tail, Ahi Tuna Poke, and Salmon Poke. We also had the Crab Cake, two sizeable patties -- a little bit more flavorful and larger than your typical Crab Cake. The Grilled Broccolini was good, but typical. Lastly, for appetizers, the Crispy Pork Belly was also a hit -- although I did not get a taste as it is smaller and not so much shareable. The pièce de résistance was the Tomahawk Steak.
