Follow the signs. Thereis parking to the side of the main house. This visit had a tour of plants . There is a pond, fire pit and picnic tables throughout the area.it is a nature preserve park with many native plants along with some for sale. I suggest wearing a hat and sunscreen. While there are paths, sturdy shoes or work boots are good too along with a bottle of water. I did sera sign for bathrooms as well. They have a compost pile on the side.if you happen to have peelings from vegetables feel free to drop them off on your visit and learn how they make black gold for the soil.

We had a group of about 15 Cub scouts there finishing the ferns and animal related topic badge. The lady who gave a lesson about how to track or discover animals around us during our daily life, but the lesson was in a small room with no AC. The boys were not interested in the discussion at all. The session was informative to the parents, but the lady seemed unable to handle younger kids. We then took a nature walk outside and the boys were very into the hike. The trail was clearly marked and easy to access by foot. Parking lot was relatively small. Overall it was an okay experience.

The website provided all the information we needed to be prepared for our adventure. Upon arrival, Joe and Connor got us fitted with our safety vests and our kayaks and then gave us lessons on how to use the paddle, get in/out of the kayak and provided general navigation and waterway guidance; from there we were off and loving life! We kayaked in Cold Spring Harbor just behind the lab and had an awesome time. It was so relaxing and quiet as we glided across the water. Joe led us in the front and Connor picked up the rear so we always felt safe and in good hands. Since this was our first time, we opted for a 1hour lesson/tour and Joe told us that most of his customers, at the end of the tour, say they wanted more time. We all felt the same way and can't wait to go back. If you're thinking about kayaking... go for it and definitely do it with JK Kayak & SUP. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Joe and Connor for such a fun afternoon!!!

Miss J. in Infant A, we can't thank you enough for all your love and care for our girls. Now our first daughter is four and a half, and when our second daughter was born (she just turned 2), we knew she'd be happy and well-taken-care-of (and well-loved) there, too! Our second had some gross motor skill delays and had certain special requirements for her care as an infant, and we might have worried that she would have a hard time at full-time daycare, but we knew, based on the care we'd seen with other kids who needed a little help (some kids had their PTs visit during school), we knew that she would be just fine. She is a bright and happy kid, and we were so impressed and grateful for the many ways in which the Directors and her teachers in the infant rooms on up worked with her every day to keep her mind happy, stimulated and busy with age-appropriate activities even when she couldn't crawl when others were starting to walk. When she could crawl but not yet walk, but many classmates were walking, her teachers again made certain she could participate both inside the classroom and on the playground (and not be squashed by the walkers :D). Now she is walking proudly and hasn't looked back! :D We are forever grateful for all the special love and care for her! Both have been attending since they were a few months old, and we continue to be impressed by not only the care, but the educational curriculum, the safety and security of the school, the activities aimed specifically at each child's development, and even the menu! The directors and every teacher learns every child's name, and the girls love being greeted when they arrive. They also love the playground and projects and special fun days (and my preschooler is in Cub Camp for her second year, something she looks forward to), and I love that the curriculum is presented in a way that makes it fun to learn, and that each child comes home with a paper saying what she did, what she ate, how she napped, etc. each day. Most of all, though, you can tell that everyone loves and cares for your children, and it's a safe, nurturing environment that my husband and I feel comfortable having my girls attend. Highest recommendations!!!
