I am not a casino kind of gal but with food like this and a spa I can get used to this! We came here for a belated anniversary trip and I dared to try lobster again after a not so enjoyable experience years ago. My husband got the 9 oz fillet and we split the red potatoes, Mac, and cream spinach. They started us off with what tasted like house made butter and bread with an olive oil and herb dipping sauce. It was delicious and I had to remind myself that I had a big meal to save for. The lobster was perfectly seasoned and deliciously tender. The melted butter made it perfect. I had a bite of the filet and it was so tender. There was a pesto dipping sauce that was amazing. I would've taken it home if I was brave enough to ask! I had a southern hurricane and it was good. Not about of alcohol but that doesn't really matter to me. The restaurant itself is nice. The food is definitely nice than the atmosphere but that's the better of the two options! At the end of the meal they brought out house made truffles served over dry ice. It was quite the show and so yummy. They surprised us with a slice of cheesecake embellished with "happy anniversary. We went there for our 38th anniversary but were majorly dissapointed. We had a reservation for 8:30 and when we showed up there wasn't a table ready for us even though there were empty tables. My wife and I both ordered the 9 ounce filet and hers came out just fine but what I received could only be desribed as meat mush without any flavor. My portion would not cut with a fork instead it just fell apart . We have been to Fire before and had just ok meals but this one was nothing shoort of a total dissapointment. Waited 15 minutes for bread service; ordered fried green tomatoes which were good but the sides were just fair (not sure why souse is served as a side). The stuffed flounder was just okay and tasted like something that is heated and served. While dining at the FIRE restaurant in Wetumka Thursday night my wife's steak was very good and cooked as requested but my salmon had a strong fishy smell and had a fishy taste. I eat a lot of fish and salmon at different restaurants and know what a good fish should taste like and this was not even close to a good tasting fish. The gentleman seated next to us ordered the sea bass and although I don't know how it taste but the smell as it passed our table was a strong fishy smell like my salmon. I will go on to say that we enjoy dining at the Fire restaurant and normally have a very fine meal and we'll continue dining here on occasions but I hope they will spend some time correcting the problem with their fish plates whether it be freshness of the fish or other issues and until then I would recommend you stay away from the fish dinners when dining at this location. read more

Heads up...We had to make a reservation for a table but you can always sit at the bar...Our waitress was friendly and attentive... I ordered the pan roasted salmon on a bed of roasted potatoes $30... I added asparagus $6 hubby ordered the pan seared sea bass on a bed of spinach $40 ... he added the baked potato loaded $6 ... honestly the food was really delicious! We enjoyed Celeste's wedding anniversaries this weekend at Fire. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing. The Seafood Risotto, French Onion soup were all tasty. The Steak Frittes was good but the fries were soggy. Not sure if that comes from the dome making them sweat or not. I would also recommend not putting the steak on top of the fries! My husband surprised me with two nights at Windcreek for our long overdue anniversary celebration. We had delayed it due to my cancer diagnosis in early 2021. Windcreek is close by with accommodations, food and entertainment in one place. My sweet love did good while considering my fatigue. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we had never been here before. Our daughters made us reservations at The Fire for our second night via Open Table. This is a beautiful place with a warm ambience. It was even more over the top because of our server. She was phenomenal at meeting our needs. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name. When we arrived, my husband struggled a bit to get me through the heavy doors in my wheelchair because there is no handicapped access. Once in, we waited about a minute for the hostess to come from the back. This gave us a chance to pick the best seats. LOL! We quickly learned all of the seats are good for couples hoping for a romantic dining experience. As soon as we sat down, our server greeted us and then brought waters and a yummy bread basket. We had a late lunch and weren't very hungry. We probably should've tried to move our dinner reservations until later. Same on us! We ordered shrimp scampi, beer braised baby back ribs, and asparagus along with beer and an Arnold Palmer (a mix of lemonade and tea). We were not impressed with the ribs and shrimp. The ribs had very little meat with no hint of a beer rub. My husband expected so much more. My five extra large shrimp were under seasoned and a bit over cooked. The garlic butter sauce was watery. Ordered the 16oz ribeye and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The complimentary bread and butter was delicious, but the steak was very dry. Ordered it medium, cooked properly, but boy was it a tough cut of meat. Definitely not worth $57 . Free coke products are offered to everyone in the casino area. A steakhouse, coffee cafe, quick grill and buffet are all located in the casino area. The restroom is hygiene maintained from the sinks to the toilet seats. The buffet was great and I liked the fact that the food can be seen as it is cooked and also each employeee has a station to maintain, stock and keep clean. The food is constantly refreshed, so it is fresh and hot. The dessert bar as ice cream with various toppings and a variety of cakes and pies to choose from. First off this is a good casino. Slot machines only but still very gamer friendly with decent chances of coming out a winner if you know how to quit while you're ahead. The hotel portion is great and the bathrooms are fantastic! Very friendly hotel staff as well. If you're coming for the first time, remember to ask for guides to dining and service options, it'll make your visit much easier. The Buffet was also fantastic! Food was delicious and the price was very reasonable for the varieties of food that you get. And there's also quick, cheaper options for eating on the go or bringing food back to your room. While they do offer valet parking, their parking deck is designed well so that you'll never really have to walk an unreasonable distance to your car. It was my first time visiting Wind Creek and unfortunately misplaced my Iphone and wallet. The staff working (memorial day 2015) went above and beyond to make sure my items were in safe keeping. First off, the slots are a lot better than in Harrah's at Murphy and Cherokee, NC. Here you actually feel like you have a chance, even if it's a tiny one. Also, the alcohol is free at the slots!! The casinos in NC charge you. Windcreek Casino is really nice. The ambiance will surprise you. I have to warn you though. You might not want to take your chances with eating at ANY of the restaurants. There was a bug in the cooler at the buffet and none of the staff saw it until it was brought to their attention. The restaurant "Fire" has great service but everything is a la carte, expensive and mediocre at best. No chicken or turkey is on the menu. I ordered a fillet mignon and it was very marginal. All in all, I like the casino, but they need major improvements with their dining choices. If they do that, it'll be the casino of choice for AL, Tenn, SC, NC, and GA residents. read more

The casino gets 3 stars for the design and hotel. The negative stars are for operations and customer service. I enjoyed staying in the platinum suite, which had a bathroom that was almost as equally as spacious as the bedroom. The meals in the restaurants were average and the gift shop is ridiculously overpriced with a random selection of items. The staff doesn't seem to be well informed of the promotions or of the complete offerings of the hotel. I have often been given incorrect information, only to be left walking around in circles back where I started. This is definitely the best you will get in Wetumpka though! The concerts are awesome. Chaka Chan, Charlie Wilson, the O' Jays and others have performed amazing shows. read more

There are plenty of machines and they even let you order your cocktails from your game, which is a bonus. The only problem is that on Sundays they do not serve alcohol...at all. Womp, womp, womp. There are a few restaurants, but the veterans recommended the buffet over the steakhouse. The buffet includes the standard fare: soup, salad, BBQ ribs, pulled pork, mac and cheese, fried seafood, prime rib, crab legs and dessert bar. It was a decent value at $24.95. This review is for their dinner buffet. I've been here twice now, once for Thanksgiving and once for their weekend seafood buffet. I've always been big into upscale buffets, I like variety and a nice setting, what can I say? Their menu set-up changes throughout the week, with the weekend seafood special being the most expensive. The Alaskan crab legs are fresh and the prime rib is usually cooked to a perfect medium-rare. There are also a large selection of sides as well. I'm especially impressed with the dessert offerings here. They have a huge glass case with an assortment of gourmet treats and cakes to choose from. The dining area is also very clean and spacious. Service here can be a bit spotty, it's usually really not that crowded from my experience, I did come on a major holiday and a weekend, so that's inexcusable. Overall, a very decent upscale buffet. It's been a little over a year since my last review, so I felt it would be informative to my vast audience of friends to update. I've been here 6 times since 2016, and I'm happy to say that I came home with more money than I walked in with six times. The seventh time was on a Saturday night, and I learned to never do that again. If we go on a Tuesday or Thursday, the available machines and the payouts are much better. Mind you, I hold myself to a $100 loss limit, without replaying any winnings. Typically, I walk in with $100 and I leave with $150 to $250 in my pocket. It's not much, but try to get paid for having fun at a Braves game or going to a concert. My wife is always the big winner, so we have lots of fun. They have now removed a whole bunch of old machines and replaced them with top-end Blueberi slots, featuring state-of-the art interactive video formats and built-in entertainment. Personally, I like their on-line games, which are programmed like their on-site machines. There is no money required, they give you 10,000 credits to start each game, and big winners get free money credits in $5.00 increments to be used toward meal purchases at the casino. I do love slot machine gambling, and can say that the inside of this place does feel like a "real" casino. They did a great job with the remodel!! I have heard that the hotel is one of the nicest in the state as well, as is the Fire restaurant. However, the casino games that they offer here don't do a lot for me. Last time we went on a Friday night, and it was absolutely miserable. There were so many people that you couldn't even find a machine. The clientele here (which tends to be people who go to spend their paycheck in hopes of winning the jackpot) tends to be a downer too. Very few people look like they are even having fun. We have never really won that much here before, but one of our friends tends to do well. All in all, not a bad place to spend a little time, but could be so much better. read more
