Never fear, these folks hustle!! and our wait was less than 2 minutes. Our server, Hope, was excellent: prompt, courteous, informative, and patient. (5 stars for her) A warm loaf of bread tided us over until our mains arrived. Clunky steak knife for cutting and buttering...not so welcome. Mains were tender, succulent, flavorful beef filets cooked exactly as we ordered. Our sides: rice pilaf (ok), sweet potato (yummy - with brown sugar on the side), tender asparagus (nice cook with buttery/lemon finish), and (star of my dinner show) were fried Brussels sprouts with sweet glaze (amazing!!!) Half star off for cutlery. Very large steak knife is not the best utensil for buttering, let alone cutting the bread. Two large forks - simply not needed; one would suffice. Traveling to FL looking for a late lunch on Valentine's Day. Decided to try LHSH and glad we did. Place was busy and staff were friendly. Sat in the bar area because there were no tables available at 3P in the afternoon. Wifey went with the salmon (yes, I know it's a steakhouse) with salad and sweet potato. Salmon portion very generous and nicely prepared. I had the petit filet which was plenty big and cooked to a perfect medium. Side salad and cheesy mashed potato sides were very good. We were in and out in about 30 minutes which worked well with our travel constraints. Quality of the meals were very good, value was superb. Highly recommend without any reservations. Service was top notch tonight. I would say that my Outlaw steak was bad (just a bad cut of meat) but the manager saw it and fixed me a falet and it was 10/10! Well today after a half week of liquids for a test I was really craving some beef! Went in seated almost immediately met my attentive server Aline I believe? Ordered my Coke Zero and perused the menu. By the way not all restaurants carry Coke Zero and so they get a star just for that! Decided I didn't need a 20 ounce side of beef so ordered the 12 ounce ribeye. Aline brought me my Coke Zero which was carbonated perfectly. Got a salad with Ranch dressing and it was very well assembled just the right amount of dressing on top of fresh lettuce and diced tomatoes and cucumbers. Tasted great. The complimentary loaf of bread was hot and tasty. My ribeye steak was cooked exactly the way I ordered it! Tender and juicy with only one tiny bit of gristle. Overall Longhorn steakhouse in Prattville Alabama hit a home run on my dinner. Everything including the service was outstanding. Great experience at this Longhorn Steakhouse location! I called the day before to ask if there was a way to get a reservation or just give them a heads up that I was planning to be there with a party of 9. I am not sure who helped me, but they assured me they would write it down and be there tomorrow during the time I planned to come so it would be all good. Upon arriving everything was great and the person who helped remembered my name/party size. We were seated right away and our server was very nice. The food and drinks came out in a good amount of time as well. Everyone's order was correct and we all enjoyed our lunch here. For a chain restaurant this was an excellent experience! read more

Passing thru Montgomery for the air show, I (uncharacteristically) ended the evening at a "chain". Technically we were in Prattville so there were minimal non-chain options that I'd not tried a few weeks prior ...and a friend accompanied me so this was an easy compromise (Saturday evening 6p ish) OVER AN HOUR WAIT for table dining, we lucked up and grabbed two first come first served seats at the bar, after only a 10min wait Barkeeps were pleasant, attentive, and kept it moving Expecting to order the usual salmon, I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find LAMB on the menu!...was told it's not usual and for a limited time. I asked for medium well...meaning a sliver of pink in the middle The pic below is mighty red. BUT it was only ONE of the ?5 or 6, so not worth complaining nor sending back And the 5 remaining were perfectly cooked, nice singe and crunch on the edges, moist and tender within and a DELISH seasoning! Once we did get waited on, the service was very good and the food as usual was excellent. One thing I was very surprised to here is that this Longhorn Steakhouse did not offer a military discount. Our waitress stated that there were just too many military personnel in the area as to why they do not offer the military discount. However, we decided to give it a try, and I'm glad we did. Upon entering, we were quickly seated, but unfortunately, the hostess was incredibly unfriendly. She tossed our menus onto the table and snarled at us, which nearly made us leave. Just as we were about to go, our server arrived--a kind, gracious, and attentive woman who completely changed the mood of our experience. Because of her warmth, we chose to stay, and it was the right decision. The food was absolutely delicious. I started with the French onion soup, which was perfect--steakhouses often make it too salty, but this one had just the right balance of flavors. My husband ordered the Wild West Shrimp, which were fresh and flavorful without being overly spicy. The bread was warm and lovely. For our entrées, I had the Parmesan-crusted chicken, which was cooked to perfection, and my husband enjoyed a steak so tender and flavorful that he didn't even need steak sauce. Everything was reasonably priced and well worth it. The only downside was the rude hostess, who even snarled at us as we left. She was pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. Our three entrees came out pretty quickly. We all enjoyed our food. Quality, temperatures & presentation was very good. The manager on duty (Scott) came around and visited with us briefly -- which was a nice touch. The restaurant was clean and tidy -- even after their prime lunch crowd. Entry & egress into property was a breeze with the adjacent traffic signal. Adequate parking including front door handicap spaces. Yes, I did the dumbest thing. I ordered seafood at a steakhouse. Guess what? It was the best salmon I've ever ordered in a restaurant! Perfectly seasoned with a light bourbon glaze, each piece flaked separately on my fork, and it was mouthwatering!!! Our table also ordered several orders of the stuffed mushrooms, also delish. One had chopped steak, she loved. Another had ribs and baked potato and he couldn't stop raving. One person ordered the filet mignon with a potato and salad. Unfortunately, this person ordered it well done. () The chef sliced it open to filet it and then cooked it well done. My friend was so hungry she ate it, but it looked like the sole of a shoe and she doubted it was a filet to begin with, as did I. Our sever was super, and I apologize I didn't catch his name. We went to Longhorn for hubby's lunch hour today. The hostess flirted till I thought she was going to sit down and eat with us, she even bussed our table. We ordered at 2:30pm and we waited for over an hour, just as I said to my husband, let's pay for our drinks and go, the waitress, who was very nice said, "oh! How's your food" then looked, turned and disappeared into the kitchen. She returns with our steak, potatoes, soup and salad and when we asked, was there a problem, she said it had gotten boxed up as a to go order and had been sitting back there. It wasn't really hot, she offered to put another order in but we just couldn't sit in the freezing cold dining room any longer. So we took what she served, asked for to go boxes and never once were we told, I'm so sorry, sorry about that or can we make this right. We had really looked forward to celebrating with the gift card his sister sent him. Instead we were so disappointed. Sheryl was our server and she was sweet, but she should have checked back in to see if we had gotten our food sooner. The manager looked at us twice and never said a word, just looked bewildered why we didn't have our food. I think this warranted a sincere apology. I don't think we will return again. Came here for dinner while visiting the area on business. The service was prompt and efficient. More importantly, the steak was outstanding. I had the 6 ounce sirloin, which had the flavor I hoped for with the tenderness you would associate with a ribeye. The only downside was the slight smell that hit me when I walked into the restaurant. Instead of the enticing scent of grilled meat, it instead smelled like wet, musty carpet. I was really satisfied with my food. The last time I had Longhorn I didn't really enjoy it, but this time they must've had better cooks or something. My family was really mad that I didn't get the chicken tenders since I eat them so much at home. But the hamburger was extremely good same with the fries. It was my grandma's birthday dinner and she was able to get some free ice cream. The look on my grandad's face told the whole family he was ready to eat the whole thing. Back to the topic 10/10 for the food. I got a plain hamburger with fries, I know that some y'all that see this probably won't like my order but that's ok. Well the kidz decided to bring the hubby/dad here due to he loves himself a good steak.. whose idea was it to come HERE on FATHER'S DAY??!! The wait was told of being 45 minutes which seemed longer, we had a party of 7 and it seemed as if others that came after us was being seated quicker.
