Every time I have come into this place, it is always a head ache! most staff do not know what they are doing. I recommend this place over any other places. While most places want to hurry up get your money and train you very little, this place place actually take their time and train you better. You can also contact them if you have any questions after your training. They even tell you to practice after your training. Currently his son mostly provide the training. Since baton training is outdoors, I recommend if possible, do it when it's not hot outside. The only reason I am giving 4 stars, while he try to provide good training, I think he could go more in depth and more practice. The guy before him several years ago did little bit better. But it might be hot outside and everyone wants to leave including me. Haha! If I ever need a gun permit again, this is the place I will go to. Currently, he offers training for guard card, baton, tear gas, gun, taser, loss prevention, and Red Cross CPR / First Aid. However, I think the owner should switch over to Healthcare CPR / First Aid because some clients will not accept Red Cross version. I used to do security for a medical building and they specifically ask for the healthcare version. read more

I grew up and he told me about it but didn't really know what he was talking about lol then I went to college and the course that I took required me to get a firearms permit and the school sent the whole class here; but that was back in 2011. The staff is very friendly and they really can teach you what you need to know. After many years I went from a security guard to a supervisor to now an airport agent, not gonna say thanks to this academy; but maybe if I didn't come here and get the lecture from them maybe I wouldn't be the person I am now. read more

I went to the location and the owner and staff were very uptight and rude. like something had just happened it was in October. I never went back, later I noticed on their license verification page for the state that they are in big trouble by the state. Working on getting a firearms permit. They claim to help with everything to get the permit. I called to sign up for the class. I was told any day at 9am on the phone. I show up on Thursday. Then they tell me it only Monday and they can't help. Ovcourse this is after they charged me for the range test They didn't even offer any type of resolution. I went here for my Taser certification for private security and one of the older employees(older Hispanic man) was very helpful and got me started on finding a duty belt, handcuffs, belt keepers, and handcuffs case. I forgot to ask for his name, but I felt he had experience in the law enforcement/security field for some time. His license are suspended and if you receive Any training it will not count BSIS will not submit your License cause his license are suspended!!! This establishment was recommended to me by one of my colleagues and I'm glad I took their advice of training here. Since the moment that I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff. The staff were exemplary in all that they did asking if needed help and giving clear instructions on how to fill out the paperwork. The instructor was very knowledgeable and would not mind questions being asked and would give hypothetical questions to students to gain a deep understanding of the material being presented. The instructor kept the class engaged and made subjects that would otherwise be dry fun and exciting.The hands on portion was great the instructor would have us practice the techniques until he was satisfied with our technique. Testing out I felt that I had a profound understanding of the subject. Went in at 6am for the 6-6pm firearm course on a Saturday and learned a bunch of new tricks and laws I wasn't aware of , Marty took care of us hooked us up with coffee and bread ,good looking bc I ran out the house bc I didn't wanna be late , took the Wtitten test and then went to the firing range that was a great experience thank you and luckily for me they had a mental exam that following Monday guys don't worry about the mental exam Marty will best prepare you for that part just be confident definitely bringing my ppl over here for all the services they provide. read more

The owner MARTY ID RACIST! I called to the office a day before to make sure they can help me so when I arrived this morning I was extra disappointed. I wanted to get my tear gas license replaced & the owner told me that they don't do replacement cards which I knew was a complete lie. When I called him out on it he then changed his story & said he can give me a replacement for $110. I also went there so I can get my arresting certificate, when I looked online most classes range from $30-$45. MARTY said that I have to pay $80 & I have to bring a partner to the facility in order for me to take the class. Once I said something to him about that that's when he started getting angry, cursing me out & CALLED ME THE N WORD WITH THE HARD R. Marty and Jeff were amazing. Being brand new to firearms myself I was a bit nervous walking in. However, Marty makes you feel right at home no matter your experience level. He brought breakfast for the students which was very nice, he's very knowledgeable and you can walk in not knowing anything, by the time class is up you'll know exactly what to do and what not to do. This is 12 hours though so dress comfortable and be prepared for your backside to fall asleep on you. But 10/10 would recommend this place, I will definitely be back and I already referred a friend who wants to get her gun license. read more
