I have all my permits done here since 1995 and still going there to getting all my renewals permit I have sent a lot of people there to get their permits

I recommend this place over any other places. While most places want to hurry up get your money and train you very little, this place place actually take their time and train you better. You can also contact them if you have any questions after your training. They even tell you to practice after your training. Currently his son mostly provide the training. Since baton training is outdoors, I recommend if possible, do it when it's not hot outside. The only reason I am giving 4 stars, while he try to provide good training, I think he could go more in depth and more practice. The guy before him several years ago did little bit better. But it might be hot outside and everyone wants to leave including me. Haha! If I ever need a gun permit again, this is the place I will go to. Currently, he offers training for guard card, baton, tear gas, gun, taser, loss prevention, and Red Cross CPR / First Aid. However, I think the owner should switch over to Healthcare CPR / First Aid because some clients will not accept Red Cross version. I used to do security for a medical building and they specifically ask for the healthcare version.

This establishment was recommended to me by one of my colleagues and I'm glad I took their advice of training here. Since the moment that I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff. The staff were exemplary in all that they did asking if needed help and giving clear instructions on how to fill out the paperwork. The instructor was very knowledgeable and would not mind questions being asked and would give hypothetical questions to students to gain a deep understanding of the material being presented. The instructor kept the class engaged and made subjects that would otherwise be dry fun and exciting. The hands on portion was great the instructor would have us practice the techniques until he was satisfied with our technique. Testing out I felt that I had a profound understanding of the subject. My overall experience of training here was beyond my expectations and would highly recommend anyone working in the security field to train here you'll be pleased with their training.

Based on the reviews from the other schools, I was hesitant, and a little apprehensive hoping the instructors here were different then the other schools I read. Natalie was super informative, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly in the classroom training. She went over every module clearly and using current every day examples to make the lesson extremely relatable and easy to understand. The range day was also excellent. The instructors, Richard and Natalie were very helpful always prioritizing safety first. I really appreciated that. They took their time showing everything you would need, from safety, to practicing drawing from your EDC items, to tips for better marksmanship. I can't say enough on how happy I was to have went with them. Now that I was approved for my CCW license, I will be enrolling with them in the future for my renewals. Thank you so much Natalie and Richard for your training and expertise. Your tutelage is truly saving lives.

I…read morelive in Huntington Park and there are not many reputable shops close to me, so after doing some research and reading a lot of reviews, FF Firearms stood out. The shop has a modern look and even though it is not very large, it is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. They carry a solid selection of pistols along with higher caliber firearms. There is also a small section of accessories on the left side and a kiosk displaying new tactical products. When I walked in, the staff seemed a bit busy and I was not greeted right away, but after a moment Octavio helped me out. He was friendly, courteous, and took the time to explain the process for purchasing ammo. I originally went in to buy a few boxes, but I ended up purchasing bulk ammo for a good price. I also picked up a magazine while I was there. I asked about having a firearm shipped to their location if I bought one online, and Octavio explained that it is definitely possible and walked me through how that works. I plan to come back whenever I need more ammo or have questions about buying a specific firearm. Overall, the store is clean, well stocked, and easy to shop in. I would recommend it to anyone who is a first time firearm owner or someone with experience who wants to add to their collection.

I am happy to report that FF Firearms brought that feeling back tenfold with the reopening of their new location. Although they had only been open in the new space for a few days, FF Firearms was already drawing a strong crowd. During my visit, there were easily more than a dozen people inside browsing, asking questions, and checking out the inventory. Their firearm selection is impressive, with a wide variety of pieces displayed throughout the store. There is something genuinely exciting about seeing so many legendary firearms lined up and ready for the right owner. I stopped by not only to check out the new location, but also to purchase an extra magazine for a firearm I already own. Even though the store was busy, one of the employees still took the time to make small talk, check in with me, and make sure I had been helped. He even apologized for the wait, despite the fact that the line length was completely understandable given how busy they were. In the short time I was there, I was genuinely impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness of the staff. After I left, I could not stop telling my wife how excited I was to come back and purchase a firearm from them in the near future. I saw several pieces I would love to add to my collection. One thing I would note is that the store itself is on the smaller side; there were so many people waiting to be helped that the door to the outside had to be propped open to allow for adequate ventilation. Please do not relocate again, FF Firearms. Having you within walking distance is dangerous for my wallet...but excellent for my collection!

Just wrapped up my 8-hour LASD CCW refresher with Medic Up Consulting, and let me tell you, these…read moreguys are the real deal. If you've been to enough of these classes over the years like I have, you know they can sometimes turn into a dry lecture or a massive instructor ego trip. Or both. Not here. The guys running the show--Ron, Juan, and the rest of the crew--are active and retired law enforcement, veterans, and first responders. They aren't just reading slides out of a manual; they're sharing actual, street-level experience. There's no fluff and absolutely zero attitude, just straight-shooting, practical advice from people who have actually been there. Every single instructor, and there are a lot of them, are approachable, engaging, and legitimately want to help you become a safer and more knowledgeable CCW card holder. The day starts with a safety brief and then some shooting drills, followed by the live-fire qualification, all of it up at Burro Canyon (give yourself extra time to get there, this place is in the middle of the boondocks). Safety was locked down tight, but the environment was relaxed enough that everyone could focus and get some solid training in. The instructors readily admit that the actual shooting qualification score is a no-brainer, so they weave in more things like drawing from the holster and dropping magazines. The instructors are constantly on the move, adjusting your grip, giving you tips to be a safer and more accurate shooter. Very, very cool. Following the shooting qualifications and a lunch break, they handled the legal updates and use-of-force stuff clearly and kept the class moving. One of the best parts is that they actually weave trauma medical training ('Stop the Bleed') right into the course. Knowing how to save a life is just as important as knowing how to handle a firearm, and most other CCW classes completely skip that side of the coin. I will confess that as a new hunter, I carry a tourniquet, but I didn't consider some of the nuances the instructors brought up, like rapid access from the pack, putting it on one-handed, high and tight, etc. And we actually practiced using it! If you need your initial permit or you're just looking for a renewal class that won't waste your time, don't look anywhere else. Professional, down-to-earth, and genuinely good people. Five stars all day long.
