I stopped by not only to check out the new location, but also to purchase an extra magazine for a firearm I already own. Even though the store was busy, one of the employees still took the time to make small talk, check in with me, and make sure I had been helped. He even apologized for the wait, despite the fact that the line length was completely understandable given how busy they were. In the short time I was there, I was genuinely impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness of the staff. After I left, I could not stop telling my wife how excited I was to come back and purchase a firearm from them in the near future. I saw several pieces I would love to add to my collection. As a relative beginner when it comes to firearms, I was a pretty nervous going into it but everyone on the Medic Up team was so professional and patient. They had good senses of humor too, which made the class fun and eased my nerves. There were 18 people in my training, and plenty of instructors. Someone was always there to help me when I needed it. Victor and Sebastian helped me with my grip and trigger pull which significantly improved my accuracy. Not only are these guys very knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to firearms, you can tell they are passionate about it as well. Beyond actually shooting a gun, they also provided education regarding life saving measures and the importance of legal representation. Matt led the legal portion, and he had a vast understanding of every bill/law pertaining to 2A rights. It was very eye opening and inspired me to do my own research. Sebastian presented the medical info and you can tell he knows his stuff. He demonstrated how to respond to gun shot wounds to different parts of the body, such as using a tourniquet, packing a wound, or using a chest seal. When I got home I ordered a few more things for my emergency kit based off his recommendations. Day 2 was in a classroom, led by Randy. He was incredibly knowledgeable and answered every question and hypothetical situation thrown at him. He provided a lot of clarity regarding when you can legally defend yourself using your firearm. Also, I received my course completion certificate from Juan by the end of the day. Overall, this was a very organized, well-rounded course led by professionals. Despite my nerves going into it, there wasn't a moment where I regretted being there or felt uncomfortable. TBH I liked it so much I wish it was longer! It was engaging and informative and I walked away learning way more than I thought I would. I am excited to continue to hone my skills and I will definitely be taking more courses with Medic Up in the future.

Every single review had high praise and spoke to the level of professionalism that the instructors brought to the class. Now I get it! Ron, Juan, Randy, Victor and Matt made this an incredible weekend that I will always be grateful for. Before this class, there were alot of things I was unsure about in regards to carrying, legalities, and mindset. We live in an age where everyone on the internet can give an opinion or advice, no matter how bad or wrong it may be. After this weekend, I feel both confident and comfortable in my understanding now. You get REAL answers and advice from active and retired law enforcement officers. They dont bullshit you or try to sell you fluff. And man, they know how to have a good time and keep things fun. 16 hours flew by and left me wanting to come back just to hang with them again! No matter how simple or basic a question you may have, they never make you feel stupid, nor put you down, and they really take the time to address ANYTHING. I never felt like I was just a customer or paycheck. Truly felt like I was welcomed into the family. During the live portion and quals, there wasnt a SINGLE mishap nor moment where anyone felt or did anything unsafe. Not once! It just goes to show how on it they are, and how well they can articulate, teach, and enforce safety. I'm thankful for all of the skills and information I took away this weekend, but probably the best/most useful was practicing and applying tourniquets in the Stop The Bleed portion. Great shotgun fields. Trap, skeet and 25 station sporting clays. The facility is nice with a retail…read morestore that has a decent selection of rental shotguns. Girls behind the counter were, courteous, cute and super friendly. The sporting clays is a walkable course that surrounds half of the property perimeter. Some basic stands 1-10 being easier and 11-25 more trickery difficult. Each stand has about four different positioned launchers. Club works on pre paid clays with a price variance between trap/skeet and sporting clays. Trap &skeet machines worked flawlessly via push buttons or voice activated. Sporting clay fields had quite a few failures or broken birds and a few inoperable machines. One thing I wish was that this place work like a bar tab with a credit card charge at end. However you must pre pay for exact amount of clays you intend to shoot with no refund or variable for no bird / machine malfunction or broken bird. Be sure to check out the clubs old taxidermy animals (elephant, Lion, rhinoceros, bear etc). Parking lot has no shade but there are a few shade trees and areas on site. Bathrooms are detached and like public park restrooms. Overall great place to shoot, especially for California!

Cheryl was very engaging, funny, and informative. Most of the class consists of a classroom portion where Cheryl will inform you of important and relevant laws to be aware of when it comes to your firearm. You'd think this info would be boring but Cheryl taught the information in such an engaging way that made it easy to retain the info. The last part of the class consists of actually shooting a pistol at a nearby shooting range. My first time shooting a pistol and while it was nerve wracking at first, I felt completely safe with Cheryl! I highly recommend Cheryl and CAS & Sons Protective Group for their basic pistol class.
