I designed a program for a local theater group and needed to have it printed quickly (of course). I explained the situation to the folks at Fireball, and the fact that It had a black cover which would need trimming, though the rest of the booklet did not. After a few minor adjustments on my part, they adjusted the cover so the edges could be trimmed without cutting off any of the artwork or text. It came out looking perfect! I used Fireball for my wedding invitations and could not be happier with them. They have a quick turnaround time and offer great prices. The prints were perfect - high quality and great paper stock (they were 5x7 on 120 pt stock). They hand deliver proofs and orders over $100 for free. Beyond the print quality, Fireball has the best customer service. When I received the proofs (two different shades of white), I assumed incorrectly which was which. (If you're not regularly working with paper, be sure to clarify!) I ordered the Neenah paper (creamier natural white) thinking it was bright white. The order was still beautiful, just not what I had been expecting. When I called the next business day, Fireball generously offered to reprint on the other paper at no charge!! Absolutely 100% awesome, will never print anything anywhere else as long as I live in philly and I will relentlessly recommend them to everyone. I got my thesis exhibition cards printed here last minute, not only did they turn out beautifully but they were super cheap and delivered them right to my apartment NEXT DAY with NO EXTRA CHARGE. Along with being super friendly they have a sense of humor too; there were little cinnamon fireball candies in the wrapping with my cards. The we transfer thing is a little confusing, because after you transmit your files it doesn't really give you further instructions. Just wait until they email you the invoice and all will be well. I emailed customer service and dealt with Greg, who was very helpful and patient with my freak out. As another reviewer said, the color seems a bit darker than the file but not to the point of affecting my image negatively. This is probably just monitor resolution/brightness tom-foolery and not really anything to do with the printing process and could be fixed by printing a single color proof at home and adjusting accordingly before sending the files. That being said, I am very satisfied with the cards and it is not an issue. read more

Fireball was insanely good. From submitting documents online, we were able to inspect a physical proof the next day (we went to their NE Philly location but they would have delivered it to us within Philly for free). After providing some corrected proofs, we again got physical proofs within a working day and the order was printed overnight and delivered the very next day. The quality of everything we got was excellent and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quick turnaround. We had had a couple of items printed via cheaper, online-only services too, but the quality and customer service at Fireball was so much better - we wouldn't hesitate to order from them again even with a higher price point than other online vendors. 5* through and through! read more

I have been using Fireball printing for a few projects for work including business cards, postcards and brochures. Up until this Friday I would not have had much to complain about, the service is fast and inexpensive. But this Friday I received my brochure re-order with the output colors being completely different than the original print job. When I contacted Fireball to complain about the colors changing from the previous job they blamed my file (which was the same file) and "other factors" and said they don't guarantee color. My biggest issue has been the lack of communication, apparently they have had trouble re-printing the brochures and had to adjust the file and colors and they did so without giving me any notice and they did not communicate their issues with the file to me until I had complained. At that point they told me I had all these options for the future for more consistent color -- none of which have been presented to me previously. They do not give print specs and when you send them files and its not to their spec they will change it themselves without giving you any notice -- something I had to find out the hard way when I received business cards which had my logo altered ( which they did re-print free of charge.) I would be surprised to see this business around for long as they do not take pride in the work they deliver. I have worked with many printers and I can say that this an atypical response. With a typical printer when you ask for a re-print you would anticipate that the new print job would match the original but with Fireball you get what you pay for... read more

Terrible job! I put my order in for a one-day turn around job and in the midst I changed my design which I admit is my fault and slowed things down. But because my order was slowed down I ended up getting my order a whole week later! And I had to switch to the 20$ additional fee for a courier to get it to me to meet my deadline and then when I got my order it was the old design!!! All that extra time and stress and I didn't even get what I paid for!!!!! If your in a pinch I seriously don't recommend them. read more

i have printed multiple jobs through fireball & not once has it been a smooth process nor have they been helpful. i feel compelled to write this after not only my bad experiences but the multiple bad experiences of my classmates (i'm a senior at an art school, we've been using fireball for our thesis exhibition prints). communication with fireball is at best unsteady and at worst akin to talking to a brick wall. since all of the communication is done via email, you'd think it'd help matters, as at any time they can scroll up and double check the email thread. instead, i've had to correct every invoice i've received from them. they also repeatedly ignored my delivery instructions (my apartment has no outside access for non residents, so you have to call a tenant to come down via cell basically) to the point of not giving their delivery person my phone number even though i'd given it to them multiple times. my first order they forgot to print half of my job. there's really nothing else that needs to be added to that. nowhere on their website do they list how they want their files set up. i usually do a .5" bleed (a little more than necessary, i know, but when places don't list their specs i prefer to be safer). they prefer a .25" bleed. instead of checking the files (or just cropping them down to the right size), they shrunk everything, which rendered everything completely unusable as i was printing pages for a comic with full bleed. this was actually both our faults as i had cropped the images down to .25" bleed but the program i was using to compile .pdfs readded it, but i still find it incredulous they didnt think to .. check the files before they ran them. also, upon contacting them to sort it out, i was treated to an incredibly condescending explanation of how to prep files for print, even though a) i'm a freelance illustrator and a self published comic artist, it's literally my job & b) i just wanted them to clarify their specs. also in the process of getting those pages reprinted, the calibration on their printer must've gone off, because they ended up being terribly low res and fuzzy (at this point though it wasn't worth it to get them reprinted!) they refuse to print 4/4 or cut down pages for proofs, which.. is not really how proofs work, and thus completely useless. they were incredibly rude to my classmate who ordered the proof (and she told me that once she mentioned she was from jersey they became even more condescending). they're basically incredibly unprofessional and the cheaper cost isn't really worth the lack of quality in production or in service. if you're just getting business cards or something simple and need them quick, by all means, the one day turnaround is helpful. otherwise, i'd recommend TAWS or devilfish. edit: also this is a personal pet peeve but while their website *looks* cool it's incredibly difficult to navigate and basically nonfunctioning read more
