Yes. This place. Why have I been going to Fedex all my life?! Needed a quick bulk print job for something work-related, and my first instinct was to go to Fedex, thinking it'd be quicker and cheaper. All I needed was 200 copies of a document printed on glossy paper. I go to Fedex, who tells me they can't accommodate a banner that's on the document without cutting off a part of it because of print margins, blahblah. They give me another option where they can print the document on a giant piece of paper and then manually cut it down so the banner is preserved. The crappy option = $600. The other crappy option with the cutting = $800. I don't know much about printing costs, but my instinct tells me $800 for 200 copies of a piece of paper is obscene. I frantically google around and come across Replica, which is literally right outside my office. I explain the situation to the guy at the counter; two minutes later, I'm out. The cost? $172. Less than a quarter of what it would have been at Fedex. Don't always assume specialty print/design shops are more expensive! read more

Wow, I can't believe no one has reviewed Replica yet! I go to this place all of the time, since I go to the Art Institute (blech) and it's about a block and a half away. If you care about quality and understand how to properly format files for printing, this is definitely the place for you. (Even if you don't know how to format files, give them a call and I'm sure they'll help) I'm a graphic design student and I've had them tackle anything from two page spreads on glossy cardstock to full booklets, which they trimmed and stapled for me. Some of the employees go / went to Art Schools in the city and they're all really super helpful and friendly. I had a horrible experience here. Their printers only make exterior window decals (ones that are subject to rain and snow). I ordered window decals and the design was what I wanted, but the decal style was not at all what I expected. I voiced my dislike of them and in a nice way they basically said "we only make these kind of decals so tough shit." They never apologized, never tried to work with me to print new ones, and never offered any kind of refund. Pretentiousness without the substance. Just got through jetting from Replica Creative to Kinkos/Fedex to get done in 15 min. what took Replica 5 days to never complete. Beginning with the first point of contact with faux hipster, scraggly beard tech dude with the Eagles hat---customer service from a dude wearing an Eagles hat is gonna in no way end well---where I'm met with customary Hipster/Starbuckian deadpan face and dead eye stare----because we neo-surfs now must grovel at the feet of our new web lords and they know it. So, I need to change the color of my business card through an Adobe Illustrator file, and want to make sure the color correct; however, trying to achieve such a task standing at the opposite side of the counter, weirdly contorted as to circumvent the Imac's gloss display screen in all of its solar reflecting glory soon proves impossible---I kindly beg my web lord wearing Eagles hat could I come around the counter to get a better look. At this point, I realize i have just ruined his week. He begrudgingly relents, and I proceed to prostrate myself over to the (other side). However, I quickly realize the monitor is still pointed away from me and am hardly able to discern the colors being applied to my card. Eagles hat dude is making no attempt to minimize this obstruction---so half out of frustration and I grab the monitor and gently attempt to adjust it in my direction. Eagles hat dude grabs his and all faux/techie/hipsters beloved 'shrine of the goddess Imac' and says, " dude--you can't--it's wired man! How dare me attempt to angle myself in what was left of my options to proof my business cards color? However, my gaul and apparent uncouth behavior seemed to break the ice as Eagles hat dude actually acted more like a "Philly dude" who would be wearing an Eagles hat. Fast forward, I decided that the best thing to do was order basic white cards with black text---he agreed, smiled and said bye and I left. That was Thurs. Today is Monday and to my horror, I get a proof back of a black card with white lettering---charming for every business occasion NOT named a Darth Vader convention. I'm sure my potential executive clients will love my business card---Batman Arkham Knight's Ps4 edition. However, no biggie---swap out the black background with white, print me 100 and I'll be on my. The least you could do after 'Eagle hat's' mistake. I'm sorry, no can do. The skinny looking intern tells me---and at this point, I'm willing to risk being tarred and feathered for insubordination towards my noble web lords because I have an important networking event to make in two days. Intern dude summons Joffrey Baratheon who in so many words mumbles something about a downed printer and go f**k yourself---I'm busy f**king with some heavy tech sh*t in the back---and suggests I try Kinkos down the block to help me with my basic sh**ty life of mine. No wonder these jerks are such jerks---because they're geniuses. I actually do have a sh**ty life and do deserve the basic generic service and quality of a Kinkos/Fedex that someone in my caste deserves. So I jumped in my car, headed over to Wynnewood, asked the Fedex dude could I get cards made within 24hrs. 24hrs.? He said they'd be done later that night!! So I jumped on their pay per min. Hp's, uploaded my file into Adobe Illustrator, swapped out the cards color. Emailed the Ai. file to the guy behind the desk, he converted the file to a pdf. and printed out a proof in 3 min.....oh yeah, and Fedex--as normal was busy as f***K. So now I'm sitting here and just reflecting on my experience with Replica Creative and wondering---where it all went wrong? Was it stylism? You know, It's like racism but it's basically discrimination of those who aren't 'flexin' like a hipster/techie dude? Is it intellectual elitism? You know, because you can slice through code like a hot knife through butter while you know the rest of us still think Java is only a kind of coffee?.........No. I think like as in all businesses---even mine, that you must prioritize client/customer base. I used Replica last month during a convention in Philadelphia--they were one of several printers I was referred to in advance, and when I got to their website I immediately liked it and reached out for estimates on print jobs. Their teams were extremely responsive and polite, and as the week went on and more jobs popped up, they handled them all perfectly, even delivering them to me at the shady convention center loading dock. The prices were competitive and considering we ordered several items as a rush I'm surprised they weren't higher in some instances, and most importantly the quality was great. We printed flyers, dinner programs, pocket guides, and more, and they were all handled well. I highly recommend Replica wherever you are located--I'm in California and will definitely use them again. I had a horrible experience there. Certain items are too expensive and not up to par with other print shops. The shop messed up a last minute order for business cards. I asked for a credit that I could use for other orders, but the shop refused and said they would just print original, time sensitve business card order over again. But, I didn't want more cards because they were cut off balance, which is exteremly unprofessional. I asked the owner of the store for a credit. The owner is a very mean guy. He not only refused to give me a store credit for another print job, but he cursed and yelled threats at me. He called me cheap and threated to cause me physical harm. I will never use this store again. My suggestion for good quality printing is Color Reflections in Northern Liberties. read more

I was running late for my final presentation for pharmacy school and needed 35 brochures printed. I should specify that by late I mean veryyy late - as in I had to be at my clincal site at 9am and it was around 8am. I stopped at the Staples in Center City first, but their computer's USB drive wasn't functioning. After frantically googling nearby printing companies, I found Replica. When I got to Replica, I tried to use my USB drive to access the file and it turned out that Staples had corrupted my file. Keith was EXTREMELY helpful.
