On a recent trip to Vancouver I went here with a few friends since I found that they had vegan and non-vegan options. Service was quick, pizza was fresh and made to order and the inside was relatively quiet and a nice atmosphere for a social outing. I would visit here again the next time I visited Vancouver!

An unexpected find for really good vegan pizza. Whatever vegan cheese they use is really good, like specialty vegan cheese level rather than the generic shreds that most non-vegan pizza places offering vegan cheese use. They also have vegan chicken and vegan sausage, and you can substitute the vegan ingredients for any of the regular ingredients at no charge, so lots of vegan options here. Vegan happiness aside, it's just good pizza. The crust is pillowy and soft but sturdy. 2/3 visits it's been perfect, one time it was a little more well-done and lost some of that softness but was still good, I just prefer my pizza crust on the softer side. They fit lots of toppings onto the relatively small surface area. I really like the combo they offer where you can combine a small 6" pizza with soup or salad. The small pizza with a side is the perfect size and the combo lets you try different things in one meal which I'm always a fan of. Their salads are fresh and the tomato bisque soup is good - a little plain as served, but add some black pepper and red pepper flakes and it's a nice creamy tomato soup. The online menu only shows the "monster" shakes but they also have regular milkshakes in a few flavours. The Oreo milkshake was a classic old-fashioned thick shake with lots of Oreo pieces and chocolate syrup. I got it to scratch an itch since I haven't had a milkshake in a while and I found it was too sweet for me to comfortably get through the whole thing, but obviously it is a milkshake, so if you know what you are getting into, you will probably enjoy it. The staff is mostly friendly. After you order and pay at the counter they'll bring the food to your table and clean up for you. Sometimes the bathrooms are kind of a mess but cleanliness in the eating area is fine.

We needed a place to grab a quick and casual bite with friends before an event nearby when we found this place. With the giant Pizza sign on the corner it's pretty hard to miss. The staff was extremely friendly and gave detailed recommendations when we couldn't decide what to order. The pizza is baked in a big wood fired oven in the corner, and it's interesting to watch them cook while you wait. We ordered three pizzas to share, and our favourite was hands down the prosciutto arugula which is flavorful yet light and balances the protein with an appropriate amount of veg. Second would be the California Club which was basically a white sauce chicken pizza topped with garden salad and ranch dressing. The concept was fun and it was quite entertaining to eat. Siciliana was a close third; would definitely recommend this one for meat lovers! The bathrooms were clean and well kept, and they also offer a variety of meal deals throughout the week which I really like. We're definitely coming back here to try their dessert calzones and humongous shakes!

Came here twice this year and the pizza tasted below average to be honest. We tried both custom and store pizzas. The birthday shake was really sugary. The pizzas were all kinda soggy. I think the oven does not cook it well enough.

Firecrust pizza looks good and they make it in a oven with all the ingredients you'd get from a nicer pizza place so it looks like it's going to be a good pizza, but the taste is always a bit off for me! The first time, I tried their Proscioutto Arugula pizza and it was sooo salty. The kids' Hawaiian Pizza had almost inedible pineapples on it that my kid stopped eating after a bite. Tried Firecrust again the other day because my colleagues wanted to get lunch there. This time I got their Sicilian and added on some greens to it. It was OK but for the price and look, again, really expected it to taste better. The crust is OK (its a thin crust though the edge was thicker and chewier) and it's really just the taste of the toppings/sauce that doesn't work for me. The italian sausage tasted like spicy, dried, ground meat and the proscioutto was overly crisped. I couldn't taste the sauce at all. There's so many better tasting pizza places in the same vicinity, this place is just not for me.

This place is all it purports to be. Pizza, beer and desserts plus tvs tuned into a few sports. We chose to sit outside on a balcony and be entertained by the locals. It seems that there is not much to choose from in the pizza menu but you are given the freedom to order your own mix of toppings. The pizza base is thin with the crust being formed by rolling the edge on itself; the crust tends to be crispy and the base malleable. The Italian sausage has fennel in it so the Sicilian was particularly good. The most remarkable is the speed at which the pizzas are made and cooked. The desserts are also good as the chocolate can be removed from glass providing more entertainment

Pretty good pizza. I would definitely recommend more on getting the margheritta as it tasted better. Margheritta is also a good one to judge a pizza place because if the placd screw up the easiest and most basic thing that means theyre not good. But apparently they did so much better for the margheritta so it was good. Recommended!

This was my first time in Vancouver and my friend told me this pizza spot would be good. We went on a Wednesday night around 9:29pm and we ordered the happy hour/ weekly special which was the margarita pizza and hand spun shakes. The moment we walked in, no one greeted us and we were standing there wondering who to order from. We ordered milkshakes but the worker said we have to order shakes at the cash. Once we reached the cash, we waited another 5-6 mins because no one was looking at us and 3 out of the 6 workers there was looking at their phones. Only one person was making the pizzas and the second pizza hasn't even been made at this point. this made me frustrated because everyone was walking around but no one cared we were there. I was expecting the milkshakes to come out first but unfortunately they came last. In total we ended up waiting 20-30mins for our order(which in my opinion is ridiculous for downtown food). I didn't realize Vancouver would be such a slow city. None of the workers were making the food and only one person was doing one thing at a time. I would never come back to this location. Our pizza was cold by the time our milkshakes came out and one of the workers said we only waited 10minutes when it has been over 30 since we arrived inside the restaurant. I understand the milkshakes take time because they were hand spun but they were made only at the very end when our pizzas came out. They were only made one at a time from one person.

I love the unlimited topping pizza spots that are cropping up! There are a couple of chains that do this in the bay area, but this was my first time trying out this kind of spot in Vancouver. Metered parking was easy to find right around the corner. Granted, it was Christmas Eve, but according to my friend who lives here, it's pretty easy to find on any other night as well. We both went with their standard 10" pizza for $11.95 with unlimited toppings. I like that they have a couple of suggested topping combos as well for those that are too lazy to make their own. They make the pizza dough fresh right in front of you before you order. I can see this causing a bit of a wait on a busier night, but luckily for us it was pretty dead when we arrived. Once the dough is ready, you just go through the assembly line and let them know what toppings you'd like, and before you know it, they'll be firing up your pizza in their oven. So my thoughts on the pizza - the sauce was a bit bland and I really wanted to add some salt to give it more flavor, but I refrained. The pizza dough was soggy in the middle from all the sauce and toppings as well, but otherwise it was delicious and really hit the spot. it's a small-ish place but there's still a decent amount of seating.

    Close-up on blackened things.

I hate to say it, but although the pizza came quickly, the crust was lovely (crispy and chewy) and the rest of the toppings were great, I just can't recommend a place that served us a takeout pizza topped with dozens of little fingernail-sized chunks of charcoal. We're not even sure what these are. They're too burned to tell. Onions, maybe? "Briquettes" were not listed among the Vegetale toppings. D: We picked them off and ate it anyway, being ravenous from sightseeing all day, but we won't be ordering that one again.

    Prosciutto Arugula
    Michael P.

Ordered the Prosciutto Arugula pizza. Pizza was under and super greasy, too much toppings and no crunch. Very soggy crust and not cooked properly, would not recommend for 15 CAD, would recommend going somewhere else for "Neapolitan" pizza.

The service was also great, with multiple people checking in on us. The corkage, at $20, is very reasonable and the restaurant even comp'ed our tiramisu! We will miss it once it is gone. The food was quite decent. I thought the prices were a bit inflated for just pasta, but the portion size was pretty massive -- most of us took leftovers to go. The sauces in general were a bit bland and the pasta was definitely cooked to beyond al dente, which isn't my preference for dried pasta. The first sign that THIS Italian Kitchen is not your great-grandnonna's kitchen was the sweet hostess's inquiry about our reservations. Though I would strongly recommend making one in the future, we appreciate the staff for squeezing our family in for 1.5 hour. The chef must have known our window of time was limited because our three plates came out swiftly after we placed our order, with no shortage of quality. The girls enjoyed the truffle spaghetti and meatballs so finely minced that they crumbled between the prongs of their forks. They even tried the Grilled Spring Salmon (which my husband and I were a little loathe to share-- would it be worse if they disliked it or loved it too much?) and the crunchy bits of the antipasto platter. Our waiter, Mike, was attentive in all the right ways. But of course, among all the richness and flavors, our 5yo's favorite item was the slice of bread at the beginning. (Cross-posted on Google)

We absolutely loved their house-made pasta during that visit, so we knew we had to return and explore more of the menu. Ambiance - 4/5 One of the things we appreciate most about this restaurant is the outdoor seating. On a beautiful day, it's a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, especially if you're dining with a dog. Being able to relax outside with our pup made for a very enjoyable experience. Service - 3/5 Service was friendly, but not quite as attentive as during our previous visit. Our server was pleasant, though there were a few missed opportunities to enhance the experience. For example, we weren't informed that alcohol could not be served in the outdoor dining area until after we had already started looking at the drink menu while we were in the middle of dining. Food - 4/5 The highlight of this restaurant continues to be its house-made pasta. The texture is wonderfully chewy and perfectly cooked, giving each dish a freshness that's difficult to find elsewhere. This visit, we tried the mushroom tagliatelle with truffle rosé sauce. While the description sounded incredible, the dish didn't quite live up to our expectations. It was enjoyable, but we still preferred the bolognese from our previous visit and cacio e pepe from this visit, both of which showcased the pasta more effectively. We also ordered the gnocchi, which was well prepared and satisfying to certain extent, but it didn't surpass our favorite one from San Francisco. The pesto sauce was just okay. If we order the gnocchi again, we'd likely try it with a tomato-based sauce instead. Overall Value - 4/5 This restaurant offers excellent value, particularly for pasta lovers. The quality of the house-made pasta alone makes it worth a visit, and there are still several dishes on the menu we're eager to try. We're already looking forward to returning and exploring more of what the kitchen has to offer.
