Staff is always super friendly when we come and ready to take your order. I also love that they have the $3 grab and go coffee option. Since they stock Wonderstate coffee, that's a great deal! The cheddar belt is my go-to order, but I'm still sad that their bagel supplier changed and they no longer have the tomato-basil or wheat bagel. For me, these were the best options with this sandwich. The Firefly signature wrap has also become a go-to for lunch. It's tasty and filling, but came get a little messy with all the pesto. I've tried a few bakery items, their case always looks so tempting, and I think the cookies and cinnamon rolls have been my favorites so far. Really it's the things that don't have the sugar crystals on top as that's never been my thing. Overall, would recommend as a place to come and chat with friends or to get out of the house with little kids. The play area is such a bonus in this coffee shop! Definitely not the place if you need a quiet work environment though. It's always packed which is good, but that automatically makes it louder. read more

The place was busy as usual, but the service was still very good- friendly and timely. My chicken wild rice soup was tasty, but could have used more vegetables (I only had one carrot piece in my bowl). The grilled cheese was simple, but the quality ingredients made it taste so much better. It was a cute and cozy place to celebrate my Mom's and sister's birthdays. Oregon's Living Room is so accurate!! This space is HUGE! And yet, every table is packed at noon on a Wednesday. I myself witnessed people running into each other and sharing embraces, so lovely to watch. This would be a great place to hangout on a weekend or come catch up with friends. I came to work and for which there are large sturdy tables for laptops and books and free wifi. Other than the atmosphere, food and drink options are plentiful and reasonably priced. I only got a winter special latte and a raspberry chocolate scone but I look forward to coming back to try sandwiches and other lattes! They have unique flavors like honey lavender and maple that I don't often find in small shops. My latte was also done swiftly! Great service! read more

Amazing breakfast sandwiches! I had the Firefly Farmer sandwich and it was incredible. Perfectly cooked bacon and Hook's cheddar cheese. I also loved their iced chai latte. Located right in downtown Oregon. They have great outdoor seating as well. They even have chalk out for kids to play with. Very family friendly spot. The staff was extremely friendly. Firefly is my absolute favorite place to get coffee and grab a delicious and made-from scratch breakfast sandwich or pastry. They have so many options to choose from when it comes to their drinks - I especially love that their specialty coffees are not overly sweet but still full of flavor. Their food is always fresh, made with care, and reasonably priced. I usually grab Firefly to-go by using their easy online ordering app, but when I have extra time, I also like to sit inside their shop and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Cute place warmly decorated and super clean. We ordered a orange mocha and a harvest latte and then grabbed some Wisconsin cheese to bring home. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of places to sit. It's affectionately called Oregon's living room. While waiting for drinks, we read an article proudly describing the owners efforts to pay the staff a living wage. They are not closing earlier due to lack of food service professionals. Firefly is closing because no one can stand working for the owner. She is rude, arrogant, and likes​ to yell at customers. Loved this place under the previous owners. Every since the new owners took over it hasn't been the same. I used to call in my orders over the phone all the time but Last couple of years they stopped doing that and employees were rude about it-their loss because I always tipped if I get waited on but if I'm ordering on an app and then driving to pick it up there is no reason to tip. We loved the turkey pesto sandwich, it was the one reason we would go there still. We'd only go on Saturdays because the hours are terrible since the new owners took over. Totally shocked they removed the turkey pesto sandwich. So we left and went to Grace cafe. We won't be back now. read more

Finally got to this coffee shop! It may be my first solo dine-in coffee shop visit since before COVID and Firefly did not disappoint! I got a small mocha which is one of the better ones I've had. I'm always on the lookout for a good mocha. This one is pretty good with a rich chocolate flavor and not uberly sweet. Got the hammy egg sandwich which is a fantastic post-workout fueler. Not too big or messy. I wish my egg was a little less cooked, but I probably could have asked for runny. Decent service and great options. And I love the space!! Will be back. read more

Cute small town coffee shop in Oregon, WI. There is usually parking out front, or shared parking lot space available near by. Breakfast/lunch items are available in addition to your usual coffee shop drink selection. One of my favorite touches is that they let you leave your coffee punch card at the front counter, filed alphabetically! I tried the vanilla chai latte this morning, given the unseasonably cool weather, and it hit the spot! The kids favorite are vanilla steamers (kids temp) with a "hammy" ham and cheese breakfast sandwich. I've also had a pretty delicious avocado toast. Tables and couches are available to lounge, and there is plenty of space to not feel crowded. Local art is available for purchase in addition to local cheese, crackers, nuts and chocolate. read more

Enjoyed this place, I think everyone in the Madison area should try to visit at least once. It's right in the middle of the downtown area of Oregon and seems to be a favorite with the locals. My cranberry walnut goat cheese salad with mango Chardonnay dressing was delicious and very cheesy (almost too cheesy!) but it's likely due to the owner being a cheese expert, with many artisan cheeses also for sale. The espresso was delicious. We sat near the entrance so there were a lot of flies on the hot summer day, but one of the owners was ridding us of most of them with an electric fly swatter, which was amusing. Firefly Coffeehouse is a really nice space. There's ample seating and there's even a study room in the back for groups. There are games too that are available to play. Contrary to the other reviews, I found that there was a good selection of coffee. I ended up getting regular coffee. They have a variety of brewed coffees from light to dark. I also really like the pottery-style mugs they have. On the weekends, they serve breakfast burritos, which is what I got. I really liked the breakfast burrito. The ingredients were super fresh. There's a fridge display with lots of cheeses. The cheeses are quality and mostly local from what I saw. I almost got a cheese plate too when I was here. I'll probably have to get that next time. I'll also have to try the espresso drinks next time. I hear good things about the sandwiches too. read more

This place is bananas. I've never had such consistently excellent food, drinks and service from any place of business. I'm so happy I work in Oregon otherwise I may have never found this place. My favorite sandwich is the Veg Out which is a variety of vegetables on your choice of bread with an herbed mayo and provolone cheese. I like this place for vegetarian options because they include more vegetables than most on their sandwiches. Drinks are delicious. I stop here most morning before work for an iced latte or a specialty drink which rotates every few weeks. Their baked goods could have their own bakery. The "world's best granola bars" are literally the best in the world, and they're made in house. The coffee cake is perfectly textured and has the yummiest crumble topping, scones are great and flavors rotate often, cookies and muffins are delicious as well. Everything item on the menu is amazing, and I get anxious for their breakfast burritos on Saturdays-the over hard cage free eggs make for a non-sloppy eating experience unlike most breakfast sandwiches/burritos. My husband loves the French Dip and the wraps and salads are always fresh and on par.
